I found this busines from a friend's recommendation and they did not disappoint. I had dropped my laptop, shattering the screen and bending the brackets that hold it in place. I thought for sure I should just bite the bullet and go buy a new machine and being a student that was a daunting proposition. The lady technician there looked it over and then have me a price quote...which I thought was a bit high. I expressed to her my thoughts on just going to Best Buy or whatever and buying one of their $399 laptops. She then took the time to explain to me about processors speed and RAM and how all of that contributes to the cost. And that all the programs i had on there for school would need fo be reinstalled from the discs they were initially installed with, many of which i have no clue where they even are anymore so i would have been out of luck there. She also did so in such a way that I understood and didn't feel I was being swindled or talked down to. In the end I went ahead with the repair and I'm SO glad I did; for FAR less than $399 I had my laptop back, as it had been before the accident (and they'd actully taken the time to do a very nice cleanup of the machine/keyboard/etc too!). I would gladly recommend this service to others in my shoes; they will be honest with you, give you the pros and cons in order for you to make an informed decision, and never make you feel pressured. Setting up a profile today, just so I can write a review for a computer repair place that I am so glad I found. I moved here from Edgewater, Florida, about couple years ago and I dread the day my computer needs to get fixed. I have no clue where to take it in & I will never go back to the places I've been to or even try calling. Finally, my husband's friends, recommend Quality Computer Service. His business does their service for all their computers and printers. Also, he has them come to their home, when they need anything. He said he has been using them for years and very pleased. So, when I called, I explained my problem (probably not in the best computer terms either). The lady who answered the phone, Michelle, was so helpful, easy to talk to and explained my options very well. She explained it to me so I knew what they were talking about, too. When I bought it in like an hour later and they did a diagnostics right then and there. Found the problem within a matter of 5 minutes, and had my laptop up and running by then end of the day! Very honest business and they genuinely want to help which is really hard to find these days! I will definitely use them in the future and would recommend them to anyone. read more

These people are very knowledgeable, which is a baseline requirement. In addition, their pricing is reasonable, which is also important to me. But I'm writing this review because, on top of these positives, they are exceptionally caring and kind. My business, which I recently relocated to Shorewood, is highly dependent on internet access. Despite lots of precautions, my laptop caught a virus that cut off my access to the internet. Although the QCS folks were very busy, they made time to help me and got the problem fixed very quickly. It feels great to have them as part of my support system! p.s. I would have given them a rating of 5, but because this is the first review I've ever written and Yelp thinks I might be family or friends with these folks, it's not allowing me to do that. My company has done business with Quality Computer Service for many years. We mostly use them for printer service as I maintain our computers myself. Whenever a problem comes up, one phone call has a technician in the store. In almost all cases, it's the same day, the exception being if they need to order a part. My calls are returned promptly and by a friendly employee. These guys have gotten me out of some sticky situations over the years. I can trust that their diagnosis is not more than what needs to be done. If there could be more than one reason for the problem I'm experiencing, they let me know ahead of time so I can decide how far to take the repair. This place was a real life saver. I had a major presentation for a vendor company on my laptop that I somehow got corrupted 3 days before my trip due to a computer virus. The technician, Kyle, was able to remove the infected file and restore my data. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. They fixed the problem efficiently and I felt the service charge was honest and fair--I had called another place first and they told me to replace my whole laptop. I don't have enough nice things to say about this small company. I had some malware, they cleaned up my machine and got it working smother than it had for about a year. In doing so, they educated me to what I could do to keep my computer running smooth. Before the technician did any work, he called me to explain what he needed to do to get my computer running right again. My computer was taken over by the FBI virus, and i had all but given up. I thought that my computer was lost to me forever, and that I would need a new one. I decided to give these guys a call and they were able to completely restore my computer to how it was and actually made it run even faster than it was new!!! They really took the time to understand my dilemma and corrected the problem within a few hours, for a reasonable amount. Would highly recommend this company. I lent my laptop to my son to work on a school project and he spilled soda all over the keyboard and it would not even power back on. We were desperate because he had his project coming due not to mention I had photos and other personal info stored on it. Computer stopped working back in December (wouldn't boot). Called Quality Computer in July to have them look at it. They diagnosed the problem and ordered the replacement part needed. They installed the part and set my computer back up, all working awesomely! I'm happy that my computer is working again!
