I moved to San Jose a few years ago and have been using this service for a few years. The work is excellent and pricing very reasonable. I thought my vehicle had an issue. but Binh suggested waiting as it was not urgent, safe to run and had many more months to go, and it did. Other auto businesses would have pushed me to do it asap. This showed me how honest he was. He ne never does anything that is not needed and will tell you when he sees something that needs attention. read more

Quality and service are the best. I highly recommend this place if you need car maintenance work or repairs.

Was referred to Quality Autoworks by a friend and honestly the experience was 10/10! Binh took me in literally 20 minutes after calling in the morning to see if they had availability and had me out within the hour. Went in for an inspection and Binh's most valuable assets was that he was honest and kind. Will definitely be referring him moving forward. read more

Quality Autoworks - Auto Repair Near Me - San Jose, California

Fair mechanic. I found Binh's shop thanks to a friend who said his family has been going to him for years, even when they moved to Sacramento, they still trek down to San Jose as they only trust him. For myself, my check engine light came on, Binh fixed it and it was good for a few months until it came on again. It was the same error. Binh fixed it again for no charge, not even for labor, since it was the same error and only a couple months after. His work isn't cheap, but it's most definitely fair. I think I FINALLY found my bay area mechanic. read more

Absolutely positively recommending this place to everyone! Binh is great with service and also in pricing!! He's very fair and knowledgeable. One of the few guys that give us faith to take our car and trust our mechanics to do what's needed! My whole family take our cars here! No gimmicks just good work and looking out for his customers best interest! read more

Biggest downside was the guy (Owner) is a douchebag. Apparently I didn't get any service from him because I felt like he is not worth my time and money. Its like he is doing a favor for giving you a service. But there are many other good Auto Repair Shops in the same complex near his place so look around, get estimate and see who you want to get your service from. For me, It was definitely with someone who respect his work and his clients. read more

Quality Autoworks - Very happy Kia customer! - Auto Repair Near Me - San Jose, California

Ben is the most honest and hard working mechanic. I've been going to him for years and through many beat down to new cars have been worked on by him. I've been to reputable places, dealerships, and other small mechanics and have seen it all. I trust his opinions and know he's giving me sound advice not just to make money but to help me save money and my cars. I highly recommend this place for any and all of your car needs. read more

I'm not much of a yelper but I know how uneasy it can be to find a fair mechanic especially as a woman with little knowledge when it comes to vehicle maintenance. I've learned and experience alot after several years of visiting different local auto shops, 3 different cars and googling any legit information I can read up on about car repairs, cost and labor & etc. I finally found a mechanic which was uncle's friend but he decided to retire last year soon after my first visit so the dreadful search arises again. This review is to show my gratitude to the man of the hour and for y'all too! Binh is awesome. He's very patient, thorough and ensures that I understand why and what's getting done. I'm so glad that my close friend referred me to him last year. I've prolonged this overdue review for way too long. Give this place a shot! It may be the end of your searching for a reliable, accommodating, kind, honest, respectful, and good vibes mechanic. BTW, there's a Starbucks and small Diner near by :P XoXo - single mom of two who finally found a trustworthy mechanic :) read more

Ben is great and he goes by the name quality. He does amazing work and always helpful. Thank you for being honest and hardworking!

I was referred here by a family friend and found this place to be my go to for any of our household vehicles. Service is great and efficient! They take the time to explain what is actually wrong with your car and how they will go about fixing it. No BS. Very straightforward and if they run into another problem during the service they make sure to call you first and explain furthermore to see if you want to move forward with the current plan or also take care of the recently found issue. I just got my car back in less than 24 hours. And as bad as all the repairs I needed he was quick to get it completed with quality in mind at all times. Thanks Quality Autoworks! See you again! read more

I've gone here for oil changes and brake pads replacement. Just like others wrote, Binh is honest when it comes to your car needs. He doesn't tell you that you need something you don't. Prices are also fair. I don't like going to others because they always sell me things I don't need. Being a girl, most of them take advantage of you because they don't think you know anything about cars. Binh on the other hand tells you how it is. He's straight to the point and doesn't try to talk about unnecessary things. Thanks Binh and his team! read more

Very honest mechanic! I'm glad I called around first. He squeezed me in for a minor issue. He saved me about a day of waiting and $$$ with other mechanics. He's my go to now. read more

Binh is a really nice and honest local business owner. He's been there for years and is very reputable. All of my family take their cars there, new and older. Tune up, brakes, radiator , oil change, leaks. Anything....he'll do it and for way cheaper. My daughter just got a $1000.00 estimate from Sears to fix the brakes. Took it to Quality Autoworks and the brakes were all fixed, along with at least four other things that needed fixing. All was done for under $600. Thank you! read more

I have been here twice after my boss and my mom recommended Ben. I have not been disappointed. The first time, Midas had recommended well over $1000 worth of brake work. Ben pointed out that there were actually only a few minor things that needed replacing and brought the price down to a fraction of the Midas estimate. I was so relieved and grateful. The second time (this week) my car was making two distinct scary noises. I was afraid it would need major work, such as perhaps a new power steering pump. It turned out to just need a hose and gasket and I got out of there for very little money. AND, here is the kicker, Ben *also* replaced, at no additional cost, bolts that had fallen off of my bumper after someone hit-and-ran it and it subsequently got hooked on a curb and pulled apart. He mounted my bumper back onto the car and banged out the ding. No additional cost! He rocks! And I can put my bungee cords away now! Bonus, Ben also took less than a day to complete this work on each occasion, whereas my previous mechanic had more employees but still would have kept my car for 2-3 days. I cannot say enough great stuff about Ben. :) read more

I have used Ben for years and am thrilled with the work that he does on my cars! I highly recommend him. He is honest and real when it comes to business. read more

Ben always seems honest, straight forward and has good prices. I've used him a couple of years now. Nothing has changed in 8 years. Honest mechanics are hard to find, so I stick with him. read more

Definitely the best experience with an auto mechanic! I've seen and known many mechanics, not because my cars keep breaking down, but because I've own many different cars that required maintenance. I don't let my cars break down, so I make sure they are properly maintained. I found Binh at Quality Autoworks through a friend of mine who trusted him. I just had our minivan serviced which just hit 100,000 miles. Binh checked what was needed, and replaced ONLY what needed to be replaced. He replaced the timing belt, water pump, the iridium spark plugs, the engine oil and filter, and the coolant. He only uses genuine OEM parts, which I truly appreciate because that is what I want for my cars. I asked Binh to check the rear brakes and the transmission oil. He replaced the rear brake pads as they were almost gone, but he said the transmission oil was still fine. He also checked the serpentine belt, but also said it was still in very good working condition. I also asked Binh to replace my front and rear shocks and struts because it leaned and bounced all over the place, which affected the the handling and braking. I'm so happy now. He did an excellent job with the removal and replacement. Bottom line, Binh does not try to sell you maintenance that is not necessary, unlike dealerships and many other mechanics out there who try to force you to replace this or that, even though they are not yet necessary. Binh even suggests to replace air or cabin filters on your own, as those are easy to do. I like Binh's honesty and am very much satisfied with the work he did on our minivan. As young as he looks, Binh's been in that shop for over 12 years, a testament of his commitment to providing great service. Binh did all the above work on the same day. I dropped off the minivan in the morning, and picked it up in the afternoon before he closed shop. read more

Binh is awesome. I finally found a genuine mechanic!!! I highly recommend this shop for your auto needs. Binh is very thorough and ensures that I understand why and what's getting done or when it needs to be done. He is professional and knowledgeable. read more

Binh is the best. He's so honest when it comes to what needs to be done with your car. My husband and I both go to him whenever we need anything for our car. If he was closer to us we would def come to him for everything. He always tells us if we need to get something done vs can wait a while to do it. I recommend him to any of my friends who need things done for their car. Very nice and honest mechanic which is really hard to find. Everyone else always tries to get me to do things I don't really need to do. I only trust Binh's opinions. Highly recommend. read more

Quality Autoworks is a trust worthy place to have your car fixed. I have gone here for many years. The place is well managed and clean. Not like auto dealership where they will try to add on as much fixes as they can, Quality Autoworks will give you their most honest opinion and alternatives to make sure your car is running correctly. I highly recommend this place. read more

I called looking for a four core radiator. They did not have it and were unable to get one, it's a rare one for my older truck, but they did double check to see if they could order one and then they gave me the number to two other places. They might not have been able to help me find my radiator but they did give me other options and they were very nice and professional. Sounds like the ratings on this place are pretty acurate! read more

I have been a customer here for years and really should be giving these reviews everytime I go. I am truly delighted after every visit. Ben is everything one could want in their go-to mechanic. He is kind beyond terms of customer service, honest, quick and holds high integrity (you can just tell in talking with him). So many times I have had a light come on on my dash, and he has checked it out, informed me of the situation and sent me off free of charge if it's something I can do myself or he thinks the dealership would be better for it. Never charges just to look even though it's his time. Great guy, good service and quality work. read more
