Mikee & Don **ROCK!!!** Thank you for great service, new breaks and bearings on my little SUV. I had another issue that I needed to run by someone to help me out with the logic. Don answered my call and was patient and listed to my issue and got me in the right direct. Just so you know, Mikee was a referral from a dear friend in San Jose. Thanks to a great pit crew!! read more

Very fast service, smog check only took 15 minutes. Very friendly and helpful too, will come back.

Mike and Don are trusted, reliable, knowledgeable owner/ mechanics I've used on several large jobs with exceptional results. On my 2003 GS430 with 293k miles, had the following replaced- power steering pump, alternator, all belts including tensioner pulleys, where i brought in all oem Lexus parts. Recently had my AC compressor and condenser replaced. I do a lot of the work myself from brakes to head gaskets and spark plugs, so I know a good mechanic when I talk to one... these guys are good! Best past is they are honest and hard working people who will not lie and give you honest repair cost and do an exceptional job! Great job guys!!! read more

Don & Mike I should have wrote this review many years ago. I have been coming to this auto repair shop for decades and they are one of the most honest, Genuine, people you could possibly find. They are not money hungry and they do a fabulous job. Thank you for always providing the best service.. Love you guys. read more

My family has always been coming here for our car troubles. About a decade ago, my dad sold our family van here for a much better price than others would offer due to the issues it's having. I've also been bringing my car here for oil changes, when the bottom panel of my car was coming off and scraping against the ground, and when I was having brake problems. The men here are always pretty friendly but also concise when speaking in English. I do find bringing someone to speak in Vietnamese also really helps. The latest time I've been here, there was an issue with my brakes. I dropped it off on the morning at around 10:30am on a weekday and they told me they would call and confirm the details before replacing anything. They called me at around 1pm to tell me (mostly my dad) the issue and was able to tell me a price for the parts and fix (which was pretty reasonable though I am not a car person). My car was ready for me to pick up by 4/5pm. Paid using my credit card and I was good to go. Would really recommend coming here for any car troubles and they'll do a very good job! read more

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before stopping there. I had my car serviced at this joke of a garage but never again. The place is filthy. The mechanic is unscrupulous. I couldn't get out fast enough. read more

I've been going to Mikees since my first car, and I've gone through 4 cars so far! (My fault for buying beat up cars) but Mikee and Don have been amazing through out the years. Always reliable with reasonable prices! They are honest to you if your vehicle is irreparable or if it's not worth it to fix it anymore. Goes to show that loyalty is rewarded, and they've earned a lifetime customer even if I move out of San Jose. read more

So than he sends the car to another friend that works on transmissions and chargers her more after a few days she pick it up it's running but now the air conditioner isn't working it's running funny, burning gas like crazy and it is leaking oil she takes it back he repairs the air conditioner and supposedly the oil leak than tells her oh you need a catalytic converter, thousands of dollars later her car doesn't run right and is still leaking oil!! Don't trust this guy he likes taking advantage of young females !!!! I would take my big wheels for him to work on !!!! read more

About a month ago, I was financially insecure, I was already struggling with my credit cards when my vehicle decides to vibrate violently. I took it from place to place, some pointed to the Coils, Injectors and one pointed at the Timing chain. My Chevrolet 2010 Camaro RS edition was in such poor state it was an embarrassment to drive it. Already spending hundreds on "checkups" and "diagnostics", I compiled a list of mechanics near me. I got each number, dialed each one, gauged for professional level as well as price. I can tell you with 100% certainty that Mikee's auto not only was very professional, but they were very welcoming and the price was a steal. Quoting me at 1/3 the price with that level of confidence that everything will be okay, I am here to vote for Mikee's Auto Repair. Among the Timing chain, I had an Oxygen Sensor replaced, Coolant System replaced, Brakes replaced, and an Oil change all within a month. Mikee's cares about your satisfaction and I am witness to this. read more

Came in for a smog check. They weren't careful with my car at all and it took them more than an hour.

Went to San Jose for the weekend, the day I was leaving to come back home to Sacramento I completely messed up the whole bottom of my car, and because I drove like that it got even worse. It dragged so bad to the point the bottom was barely hanging on. I took my car to a few places. Everyone was closing or couldn't help me until I came across Mikee's auto repair. I told him I bought clips from auto zone if he could just clip it on for me so that I can make it back home, he laughed and he joked, but in a good way making me feel relieved that was going to take a look at my car. He went to open up my car door and noticed I had my four daughters with me. he told me and my kids to go inside and wait next thing I knew he had my car cranked up high and got to work I thought for sure this was gonna cost me especially not being from San Jose , on a Sunday and being a female, I didn't know what the charge would be but to me and my daughters surprise he didn't charge me anything and boy I never seen my daughter's jaws drop so fast when he said no charge. He told me just make it back home safe and I just want to give a huge thank you to him! we did make it back home safe. My girls were so shocked of how genuine he was. He never even took my clips I brought instead he told me to return them and get my money back. This is a day that we will never forget and will always be appreciated. Thank you Mikee's auto repair. read more

Mikee's Auto Repair - Auto Repair Near Me - San Jose, California

My recent repairs at this shop was always pleasant. Mikee was very friendly and helped you to stay with your budgets. This is the auto shop I have been going to for over 10 years and they never failed me! read more

Love this place! I have been going here for over 10 years because my friend recommended them. I'm so happy with the service, speed and price of car repairs. To give you an example, took my car to the dealership and told them there was an issue with the tire, they gave it back to me and didn't fix anything. I took it to Mikee's Auto Repair, the mechanic got in the car, we drove it literally around the corner and he knew exactly what the problem was! He also told me it was very dangerous to be driving it in that condition, repaired it that day AND provided a loaner car while it was being fixed. I will never take my car to the dealership again! read more

I arrived at Mikee auto and was instantly greeted and asked what I needed help with. They gave me options. Cheaper route may or may not fix the problem and a more expensive route. They were nice and accommodating. Service was going to take awhile so my husband picked me up. Problem fixed same day. I recommended Mikee auto. read more

I'm going to give this a bad review I had to pay 575 for radiator and fan and they didn't change my hoses they told me coolant is still leaking and they wanted me to pay extra I went to other mechanic place to fix hoses and they told me how come they didn't fix the hoses if it was still leaking and this was done yesterday AUGUST 19,2020 on my Chrysler Pacifica read more

My Parents have been going to Mike for 20+ years, when his shop was on Winfield in South San Jose. I have been going to Mikes for 10 years myself. He is very honest and upfront about everything. He never tells you that you need to do something with your car that is not necessary and if something will cost you more than the car is worth he will tell you. I refer him to all of my friends and their Oil Changes are very reasonably priced and you don't have to wait for it; You arrive, they change it and you go. I have even gone on my lunch break and had time to spare! Thanks, Mike for everything!! read more

Mike's (aka Kim) is very helpful. The first time I brought my car here (97 Acura TL) I wanted to get the bolt on my tire fixed because America's Tire Company broke it off due to high amount of torque! When Mike inspected that, he found and recommended replacing the front axle, bolt, nut, both steering boot. He estimated about $390. Mike made sure I was OK with the repairs before continuing. Drop off the car early in the morning (around 8ish), got a call around 2PM and it's ready for pickup. I brought my wife's car (2004 IS300) to get the rear break pads replaced, I bought my break pads and they replaced it and it took no more than 15 min! Total cost was $30! Mike is a honest person, he will check with you first if you're OK with repairs. He doesn't pressure you and he will let you know if it's worth the repair. I'd definitely go back and get my cars repair at Mike's! read more

The worst service came to change the oil in the car and the brakes filled in the simple oil had to be synthetic. On the way, I went home and the engine started chattering read more

I came here to get my timing belt check because the other auto repair I went to get my oil Change before said there's a problem with my timing belt, so I decided to bring my car here(a friend of mine recommended it to me). I left my car there for four hours and I came back, Mikee was really nice and he checked the whole car. Turned out that my timing belt is good and he didn't charge for checking it. I will come back here for sure! read more

I had been taking my car to another mechanic for years but decided to check out Mikee's who had been recommend by a "challenge to please" neighbor (they had been taking their car to Mikee for years). I knew what needed to be done on my car, looked on Yelp and found 2 highest rated shops near me. I called them, my mechanic, and Mikee's for a price quote for the work. Out of all 4, Mikee beat them by quite a bit. I drove my car in that day (it was a slow day for them), and they took the time to answer my questions. They also showed me the sealed OEM materials and I watched them as they methodically did the work. Besides Kim, there were 2 other workers, and they both helped to do "tag team" to help keep things moving along while they machined my rotors. On top of that, they topped off all my fluids including my completely empty wiper tank! I do wonder how different my experience would've been if it had been a busy day, but on that slow day, I left there feeling really taken care of and will definitely use them again! read more

This is a very good station. They make quick accurate diagnosis. The prices are very reasonable. I have my repairs done here, and my routine maintenance. read more

For the last couple years, I've brought my Honda to Mikee's for maintenance (oil changes, brakes, and to analyze issue with hybrid battery). I've never felt overcharged, especially regarding my brake & rotor changes. I've actually compared prices with other local repair shops, and Mikee's was definitely much cheaper and I've been driving without a problem. They've actually told me that some items I brought in to fix (maintenance minder) could last ___ much longer, if I wanted to hold out on replacing, which I really appreciated. Now, don't expect really personable staff. I've spoken to the owner once, and he is kind of hard to understand. Most of my interaction has been with the front desk guy (sorry dude for not getting your name after all these years) who is not only friendly, but even remembered me and my car (and it's issues) after several visits. Location is alright, located on a busy intersection not far from the 101. There's not much of a waiting area and the area can feel a bit sketchy, but so far, I haven't had a problem. read more

I was working with mikee's brother. He was very helpful. I been looking for a place to smog my car and everywhere I go they always gave me a hard time how my car looks modified because I took the plastic cover off my car. So they where in and out and got my car registered. I was very please with their customer services. I would to drive the distance for better customer services. Thank you. read more

We bought our truck to fix, it ran worst and told us it wasn't worth fixing and they had a 2007 hhr Chevy for 2000.00. The heater didn't work so we paid a mechanic to fix and the truck over heated. We took it back to Mickys to change the thermostat and instead they unhooked the heater. So we took it to another mechanic and they replaced the thermostat and rehooked the heater. Plus the passenger fender was held together with ties which we got fixed and replaced the bumper. As long as we left the air on it didn't overheat until today. So we went back to Mickys and he offered to buy back the car for 1000.00 or unhook the heater....So don't anyone buy a vehicle or have repairs done at this establishment. Don't buy a black hhr Chevy from them because they'll unhook the heater and try to sell it. They are shoddy and rip offs. read more

I came in for a smog, it's been 2 hours and they told me it'll another 20mins. Also I made an appointment... Never coming back

If I could I would give them a negative star. I just took my Honda Accord 2001 to the dealership because my SRS is on. BTW I found this info "the extended warranty covers the "SRS unit" if your car is under 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. The inspection and repair will be free." online. The mechanic at the dealership also told me that this was a known common problem with these Hondas. They took my car and the diagnostic and repair was indeed free. Anyhow too late for my father though who has a Honda Accord 2002 and had the same problem, but made the mistake of taking it here. As a mechanic this guy is supposedly far more knowledgeable about common warranty covered problems. But, he felt it was easy to rip my dad off and charged him $65 for the diagnostic and the total was $175 to fix the belt buckle sensor (which is the known cause of the SRS light being mysteriously on) =$240. This would have been free at the dealership and the guy...if he was an honest mechanic would have been upfront. That's pretty messed up in my book, esp with these hard times...if this mechanic was honest and upfront he could have had repeat business in the future. Also that would have made good business sense since most people I know get their mechanic through recommendations and word of mouth. But, now I have to bash him on yelp and hope no other Honda owners get screwed. read more

Best shop around! Mike and the guys work on all our family cars. Always a good diagnosis and fair prices! I recommend them to anyone..They even do smog! A very busy place though... try to get there early! read more

First of all, it's hard to follow when Mike talks -- it's like he's chewing a particularly sticky kind of gum and he blames you for it! His comprehension of what you say is equally bad. The net result is a PR disaster and downright poor customer service. Every innocent question is misinterpreted as a demand for free service and he loses his temper, though his 'sticky gum' prevents him from yelling (thankfully!). So you get a 'sticky' staccato of verbal ammunition in response to an innocent question like 'do you hear a noise coming from the engine that I do when I press on gas?' I ain't going back there (maybe with some gum thinner next time) and suggest that you don't as well.. he's a piece of work! read more

My entire family and I have been going to Mikee's (Mike / Kim) and formerly Pham's (Jimmy) for about 10 years now. These guys are nothing but honest, knowledgeable mechanics that never charge for a diagnostic and always let you know what's going on before actually performing work on it. We trust everything with them - Hondas (Accord EX), GMCs (Yukon Denali), Chevrolets (Corvette, El Camino), Toyota (Land Cruiser), and the list goes on... everything we've owned, they do everything. I've recommended numerous friends here and they agree - Mikee's is the best! read more

This place is a joke. I use to take my cars here for years but his service and work has really gone bad!!! Took my car there told him the alternator was bad he didn't really bother to look at it and told me to take my car somewhere else it has major electrical issues. I had my car towed there with his tow truck driver then he told me to take it to some other place when I got there they did not have any room waste of $150 fees. So I had to have it towed to another place close by and they fixed it in an hour it was the alternator. After years of going here I have to find some where else. This guy was recommended by my sister who been going there over 10 years and by chance had her truck there for the 5th time over 2 years with performance problems . He couldn't figure it out told her to go to the dealer see what they say and bring it back. As it turns out the tune up he did 2 years ago was not done right. The spark plugs were loose and the coil was also loose. This guy needs to retire. He lost all of our families and friends business. Beware!!!!!! read more
