I was looking for an auto shop for basic maintenance and I found this shop had decent reviews. I called a few times, every time the owner answered. I asked him if he would be able to accommodate my request as I wasn't able to bring my car in until after I'm off work @5pm, he said no problem. I also brought my own oil and oil filter, if you go to those franchise places they don't accept that and they overcharge you. This shop has reasonable prices and he was able to get my oil change done within 20 minutes. This was my 3rd visit to this auto shop. I called ahead, Khan looked up my car's specs and gave me a flat rate quote that was significantly cheaper than another more popular shop nearby. It may be a little difficult to communicate due to the slight language barrier, but it's worth the effort. They don't do appointments for oil changes. Just drop in. I showed up about 1 hour later (around noon on a Saturday) and they took my car in immediately (no wait). There were two guys working, and they kept things moving along, even with two other customers coming right after me. They did the oil change and also inspected my fluids (included in flat rate). Finally, they did a tire rotation for an extra $25, which seemed slightly pricey, but I didn't mind supporting a small business. It turned out my oil was very dirty, even after they replaced it (my fault for delaying). So Khan patiently explained what was going on and the potential consequences and gave me advice for future oil changes. I appreciated their honest, thorough service. Also, the initial quote did not change despite this issue. I paid with Venmo. Khan provided a paper invoice as well. Overall, service was quick and efficient. And being a smaller business, you probably won't have to wait as long on a weekend. I highly recommend this shop. I will be back! read more

Unprofessional: Avoid My regular mechanic was unavailable due to COVID staff shortages, so I decided to try Khanh Auto Repair on June 28, 2022, for a routine oil change. Khan's team finished unusually quickly, and I became suspicious when I was asked to pay for the service over Venmo instead of a credit or debit card. After I paid for the service, I was surprised to have left without an estimate, invoice, or paperwork. I contacted Khanh Auto Repair for an invoice, but they explained that they "forgot [my] car". I went and filed a formal complaint to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) division of the California Dept of Consumer Affairs, who intervened to require that Khanh Auto Repair provide an invoice and issue me a full refund since I hadn't signed an estimate to authorize any of the work performed. I attached a copy of the letter I received from BAR with my personal information redacted. I'm giving Khan Auto Repair 1-star for failing to provide a service estimate before working on my vehicle and denying my legal right to a service invoice. I recommend avoiding this shop altogether, as there are many other competitive mechanics in the area. If you have visited here in the past 3 years and did not receive a written estimate or invoice, I highly suggest filing a complaint online with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, who managed to investigate and resolve my case within a week, get me a full refund, and get the invoice that Khan Auto Repair had failed to provide to me. I never intend to come back, and I can only hope that Khanh Auto Repair follows its legal responsibilities to its customers in the future. read more

I really needed an oil change and was looking at a couple places. I saw reviews from other mechanic shops that even if you bring in your own oil and filter it's $50 for the labor. That's crazy!!! I bought my own oil and filter at Walmart and messaged the owner here and he's willing to charge me labor only. I immediately got a spot and was out of the shop in 30 minutes. My tire pressure was also checked and filled for free. Highly recommend this shop and I myself will come back if I ever need anything fixed. read more

Just came back to get my oil change and the mechanic also fixed my tires. He was done within 25 minutes! I didn't even feel the time pass by but I'm glad I didn't have to wait longer than half an hour. I strongly recommend Khanh for he knows how to work on cars fast and professionally. I initially came here because my normal mechanic was unavailable due to Covid. My AC was not working properly and he said he would try cleaning it and charge me $185. This only solved my problem temporarily and he knew that upon releasing my car back to me so he only charged me a diagnostic fee. Great rates on auto maintenance type services at this shop. I can only speak to an oil change and a transmission fluid / filter change. They did have the best rate for the transmission fluid change, given I was providing the parts. They have two lifts inside to work on cars, and a couple employees I believe. As far as the work they have done there are no complaints, solid workmanship. read more

I blindly came to this place. I told the guy I was looking for a place to get my headlamp replaced in my oil changed. He immediately went to work on my headlamp without saying a word. In 5 minutes he was done. He then drove my car inside the building, it was hoisted on a lift. 15 minutes later, done. I thanked him and presented my credit card for payment. (Headlamp $20, oil change $30) He said, "we don't take credit card. next time." Remember, I'd never been to this establishment before. He was more than OK with letting me go without payment.
