I came in for an oil change, but the also flushed my power steering, and changed my air filter. My car was definitely running better after they serviced it, and I was able to to get it all done during my lunch break. I am not sure if it cost more than my regular mechanic, but I was glad that I didn't have to make an appointment and was just able to wait. The reason why I am only rating them 4 stars is because when they changed the cabin air filter, they moved everything that was neatly organized in my passenger seat to get to the glove box. They ended up just throwing everything everywhere in my van. If they had just told me to move everything, I would have. I just wanted an oil change, but they told me there were other things that my van needed, and I said yes to everything they suggested. I did not know they would need to get into my glove box. I wish they had just asked me to move my things instead of making a mess. Other than that, my van drives wonderfully. read more

I started going to this place when I got my car about 2 years ago, because it was on the list of places that works with the CarMaxx warranty program. They started off amazing, but over the last 8 months have been sliding down hill, and are basically at rock bottom. This last time, I checked their website and Google listings. They both said SMOG services are offered, and specifically said, no appointments, head over (which I have been told MANY times by this place). So I show up, park in line, and a (very nice and polite) employee tells me that the person who does SMOG is off Monday and so they can't help me. I asked why the website doesnt list times or they don't set appointments and was told "we do not do anything with the website," and as he wasn't going to do anything for me, and I was clearly upset and he didn't want to actually handle a customer service situation, he decided to say have a nice day and walk away while I was in mid sentence and going to ask for a manager. My advice, it is no longer a reliable place to take your car. Go anywhere else pretty much! I know if I can find another CarMaxx certified station quickly, I will NEVER use this place again. read more

Wife took Honda Odyssey for routine oil change. Staff upsell on engine filter and cabin filter change for a discount (Still cost 75$). Fine. Car comes back making sound coming from front console. Cool. Play around with AC fans by turning on and off. Sound is coming from glove compartment. Take a look at cabin air filter, seems normal. Took out cabin air filter and turn on AC fans. Same noise but sound is more audible. Reach in to find large clump of cotton? fiber glass stuffing? No clue what to call it but no way it would be something that gets stuck in the fan or would be from the outside of the car. Could this be shady business practice or did this big piece of pocket lint sneak through all the crevices and found it way UNDER the filter and not OVER where all the debris would come from. Pulled it out and replace filter. Sound issue solved. I would not recommend this place. Learn to change air filters yourself, it's cheap and easy. Find a ma/pa shop that actually care about your business if you cannot do it yourself. read more

Do not go here! Went for a smog check and some ol' fart of a technician started asking me a ton a questions irrelevant to having a smog done. They he accused me or someone I hired to do work on my car of rolling back mileage. Thats crazy work. Then when I presented my wheel works receipt, which I didn't need to, he was like we are not going to help you. I asked for his name, he didn't give it and when I asked the other technicians, they also didn't respond. Honestly, this place is trash. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

First time trying smog check here. I'd at it as an ok experience. They really try hard to upsell you in buying additional services. Both when you check in and when your car's ready. Took about 30 min for the smog and I was literally the first and only person there in the morning. That's a bit long in my opinion. Desk guy friendly, mechanic kind of snippy. ~$70 for the smog seems okay but certainly not the best deal y out can find. But super convenient. Also, note that I got the smog on Saturday and it didn't show up in the dmv registration database till Monday. They have a good waiting area including coffee. read more

Even though they advertise star station, they did not want to work in my 1998 Ford truck. I asked why they simply said "we never work on older vehicles". They took almost one hour to take the smog check guy out of his van where he was sleeping. Then I overheard the guy saying my truck was junk and piece of sh...and that it should be at the pick and pull. so he didn't want to smog my truck and besides the guy treats people like garbage. This is not the first time I come here and he does not care about customers. My cousin came here for smog check on his Chevy 99 two weeks ago and the same thing happened. I do not know why the BAR hasn't closed this place yet. read more

Please please to all my WOMAN FRIENDS don't come to this location and if you do come please come with a MALE on May 21 2026 between 2 & 3 o'clock I came for a OIL CHANGE I clearly told the guy JUST AN OIL CHANGE He came back with a paper telling me my car had 100 problem I kindly told him I only want a oil change that's it he said if you don't get this car fix right now as soon as you leave it will brake down YOU HAVE TO FIX IT RIGHT NOW I said no I'm ok thank you he was forcing me to sign a paper he was screaming very aggressively I got scared I went in to a shock mode I was scare of the worker I had my child with me they kept on pressuring me to get it fix right there and then. a kind gentleman stepped in once he seen me scared and lost he then told the worker to calm down and to keep the tone down on me that I had clearly said no and that's that then the other workers were yelling at the gentleman and it escalated they refused to give names or information to file a report please lady's don't go alone they will try to take advantage of you and force you to sign or get things fix by scaring you this was no way to act I honestly think they tried to take advantage of me and it was the most scary situation I have been in I have no been able to get a name to any manager they refuse to give me information read more

Horrible customer service. I went in for an oil leak on my truck and asked if that's something they could work on. The main mechanic came looked at it and told me if he has time he'll look at it. I said ok should I leave my information in the office and come back. He told me no just wait by my truck and watch tv and if he has time he'll look. So I waited for a bit but figured it's pointless on not knowing how long it would take him to get to me. Don't waste your time with this place. Go to Skips down the street if you need work done. Better costumer service without a doubt Response to Stacy: thanks for the excuse you're giving instead of taking responsibility. 1. If it's first come first serve I should've been first since I showed up first thing in the morning 2. You should inform your employees to let the customer know they might not have time to look at itheir car, instead of saying wait by your car and watch tv, If I have time I'll help you. 3. You told me to message the shop owner. I did and never got a response. So clearly another reason why the company can't take responsibility and rather make excuses. It's fine with me if you want a mediocre business being ran. I'm definitely not going back. Just want to give other customers a heads up. read more

What a joke! I'm surprised this place is still in business. I came here inquiring how much it is to change the oil filter in my truck, just the oil filter. The old man came out and said $70 to change out the filter. If you don't want to do it just say you don't do it. But quoting $70 just to change out an oil filter, that is absolutely ridiculous. Reply to the note below: I changed the oil myself but couldn't access the oil filter without jacking up the truck. Like I said in my review, if you don't want to do it, say we don't do it. Let's not try to scam people. Your people didn't suggest anything, they will do it for $70 to unscrew an oil filter and screw in a new one. I have the new oil filter as well. read more

Don't go here. Rudest "smog technician" , horrible customer service. I have an 03' Chevy Silverado I have owned since new, I have 377,396 miles on it , I have always maintained it and replaced anything needed. Since 2014 it has required a smog check every two years, this location told me I need to go to a Chevrolet dealer for a decal/sticker that they couldn't even explain to me what they were requiring, no other smog test has had any issue in a decade of testing this truck. They were making up issues to scam for mechanical work. read more

Scam alert. The first thing the manager said, while I was driving up, from visually looking at my front disc brakes was that they needed to be replaced because they were too thin. No problem with service techs or work but owner has a policy of not topping fluids off unless you fully service that Item I was low on coolant in reservoir only and they said we cant top it off unless you service it that goes for all fluids even though they advertise change oil and top fluids off when I a question this they said that's owners own policy when you go get your oil changed You expect and think your fluids are topped off AS ADVERTISED!!!!! I brought my car to get an oil changed they showed me I had no coolant so I got that done too. They also recommended that I replace my belt on the car since it had little cracks. For quick oil changes this a good value spot. Nothing fancy. European cars have a premium cost than most but it's still much affordable than going to the dealer for service. Really disappointed of this place. This is not the first time. They checked marked on what they said they will do, but they didn't do it. I went in for an oil changed on May 6, now driving in my car with my AC on and it doesn't have any coolants. This could've been void of happening. Unreliable place to get your car done there. Not sure if they get the oil change correctly. read more

5/17/24 I brought my car for air cabin filter replaced and they charged 50 dollars. However, I had the feeling they didn't do anything to my car . Because I didn't see they moved my car from the parking into the shop and changed the filter, the job done in 10 minutes . The guy guaranteed air filter can last to 15,000 miles. However, on 12/26/24 I had oil change at Toyota service center for 5,000 miles (only after 7 months to have air filter replaced at Speedee) They checked and suggested I need to replace air filters ASAP. Today's 1/3/2025 I came to speedee at Capitol expressway, the manager refused to take responsibility for their Job as refund or do something! I am really disappointed with the way speedee take advantage and cheating, lied to the customers especially they know you are elderly or a woman read more

I went to SpeeDee today (a Sunday) around 11 for a 17-point oil change, and David took care of my car! It was done within half an hour since no one else was there when I came, but after I returned there were three other cars. Jessica called me right after it was done so I hustled back, and she was super nice! I had a bunch of questions so asked David to talk me through it. David was very efficient and helped me understand everything I had questions about, including what to prioritize getting fixed! Thank you David and Jessica! Tip #1: Bring your own oil and filter from Walmart, I did a lot of research beforehand to make sure I had the right products! It will lower the oil change price, AND they usually have coupons for the oil change on their website! Tip #2: Always ask to have your vehicles problems described to you! They can catch mistakes (ex. accidentally saying timing cover vs timing belt) and give you more info on when parts usually need to be replaced. read more

Scammers. Charged $190 for an oil change. Base price is 120 for the change. Called them and they said there is an extra charge for 1 additional quart of oil changed and the air filter. I didn't ask for the filter. I changed it my self 3 months ago. Ridiculous for charging $70 for 1 quart of oil and air filter. Avoid at all cost or else it will cost you. Horrible customer service. Let's keep it straight and to the point since this Stacy person will do nothing besides degrade paying customers. I've owned and operated business for many many years and the thing this business/ Stacy is forgetting is that the customer is always correct even when they are not. The biggest issue is a lack of communication, effort or pertinent information from staff while on site; followed by a scathing follow up from "Stacy" if you voice your concerns on YELP. I went in for an oil change on my 99 explorer sport. Roughly 30 minutes after the service was completed my check engine light came on for oil pressure. I pulled over and popped the hood and found the cap for the oil fill port missing... I went back to the shop roughly 45 minutes after service to retrieve the cap they did not put back on. They were absolutely ZERO help and took ZERO accountability / would not replace the cap. They then tried to gaslight me to say the truck came in without the cap.....lol. I had no check engine light or any indication light on when I took the truck in and when it left it was in alarm.... Make that make sense...This not how you operate a business. I look forward to whatever excuse they come up with one this one. Not worth your time, not worth the money. Take your vehicle to a respectable establishment. read more

I am very suspicious after I picked up my car if they even did the oil change because they didn't do anything else listed on the oil change package like: clean windshield, vacuum, and check a variety of things listed. I brought my Toyota truck to the Evergreen SpeeDee for an oil change and free determination of why my check engine light was on. That led to $180 evaluation of my evap system. The mechanic spent an hour and said the evap cannister was bad and they could order a new one. When I went back 2 days later they hadn't ordered the part because they wanted me to pay first and when I agreed to pay in advance the shop manager comes up and demands that I also get a tune-up. I said no, all I want is the new evap cannister installed, the car was already in their shop two days earlier, underwent a $180 diagnostic which identified the problem and i wanted no other service other than to fix what had been diagnosed. I recently visited this location for a transmission and coolant service. Beto helped me out and was very informative. Turns out I needed new tires, I wasn't too convince and Beto helped show me the balding in my tires and went over options with me. Even though I didn't end up buying tires from there, his knowledge was beyond helpful! Jessica was super sweet at the front wrapping up business for me. Everyone was very quick and professional. I bring my vehicles here because of location and it's full auto services. Brake pad light went on -on my BMW. AND since it was going to take a while, they dropped me off to my house! Yolanda (Manager) was knowledgeable and courteous and explained everything. Avoid speedy at all costs if you dont want your car damage. I came in for an oil change 10/2, Yolanda Porras, the manager her techs said my coolant is leaking and brought me to the car to show me. The coolant was emptied (idk if they purposely drained it) and pointed out the wet leak below it. I said can I replace just the coolant if the coolant is leaking? She said no, you have to replace it with the timing belt because it replaces together. She said i must replace it asap otherwise it will over heat bc my coolant water is empty. I said, i dont have time today can i just filled the coolant water alone? Her technician who teamed up with her said no you cant bc as soon as you filled it water will just come right out. So later i said well i dont want my car to overheated, can u filled it for me anyways so i can get home safely? She said its $40! Ok, illl pay for it but why your professional sales people or tech said its not able to refill. I Feel UNSAFE and LIED to so i made an appt with Acura to make sure that y'all recommendation was HONEST, took the car in today 10/4/21 and they said coolant and timing belt and my water pump had no issues. If my coolant had a problem the indicator would indicate Hot instead of cool which the coolant indicator always on the cooler side. One of my friend who always go to speedy they messed up his car on purpose so they can make their up-sale recommendation. I hope CEO of speedy read my comment and is aware of your employees because they will ruin your company's reputation. Thanks Sher for replying to my review. once i knew ive been up-sale, mislead by your trusted up sale manager Yolanda and her technicians, i WILL NOT pay that $45 to get the inspection done with you guys!!!! I get my inspections FREE and HONEST recommendation FREE when i get my oil change at other places. Thats why I LIED to y'all by making promise to come back but instead brought my car to where i trust!!! Read the review above there was nothing wrong with my coolant and my coolant wasn't leaking but for a professional up-sale technician to say that my coolant was leaking was false information and DISHONEST recommendation. Not only that, when i asked can i just replaced the coolant alone, they teamed up and said, "no, the coolant comes in a package with the timing belt it replaces together and you cannot change the coolant alone." Ive always brought my car there for oil change and ive always go there to get the most expensive synthetic $99 package, other places do a full inspection to make recommendations, and Yolonda here is making me pay $45 to get the test done and will hopefully recommend more UNETHICAL options??? Hahaha sorry i aint that stupid. I can see through all their eyes when they lied, their eyeballs rolled all around town. I work i sales, i know when i am lied to. I may be small look innocent but i know my stuff, if not i call to ask. Thats why i was on the phone and made excuse to come back. Trust me, you cant back them up bc coolant has nothing to do with timing belt. If they said my water pump was leaking then its more believable. The most evil part is that they want my car overheated and refused to fill my coolant at first, but Yolanda, i guessed is concern about her career and is afraid of liability bc i just got an oil change, my coolant wasnt leaking, if my car over heated after 2 days of oil change you guys are in big trouble!!! thats why she filled my coolant water and charged me $40 and try to get me to come back by offering on some coolant flush discount when i come back to change my timing belt. Oh another problem the transmission fluid was done with you guys!!! And its ever 30-60k miles they try to sell me that every time. I change oil filter with them and they use 3rd party china filter causing my oil to leak. Make sure speedy customers know your stuff because they will try to meet sales quota. Sorry but you cant back them up this time. You better watch your employees. If y'all have sales goals to reach this is unethical. Y'all just messed with the wrong short innocent looking asian girl at the wrong time.
