I am from Cincinnati Ohio. I am a little hard of hearing, I built and repaired car's for G.M. for 25 years. I had traveled 2700 miles, my brakes where making a noise and had a slight pulsation when stepped on. I talked with Luis and explained what was going on. He had a car on the rack and one behind it. He said well let's check it out! He and his partner put it on the rack. They spent a good 45 minutes checking out all four brakes. That was removing the wheels and rear drums. They where a little glazed from the mountains, but safe to drive with. One of the self adjusters in the rear was sticky rusted some they removed it and cleaned and greased it. Brakes where in good shape. Luis used a torch wrench to tighten the lug nuts. He went over my brakes like I would have if I had been home. In payment he would not take anything, except a hand shake and a hug! He said he could not send me and my family out on the road in a unsafe car. 1 hour after I walked in I was on my way out. I was visiting family in Visalia in July and our A/C went out. My brother-in-law recommended Quality. I came in first thing in the morning without an appointment and they were busy. Luis fit me in. He diagnosed my car, it was a bad condenser. Luis ordered the parts and had it ready to go by 4:30 pm the same day. He and his office assistant were very helpful and pleasant. Luis showed me the faulty part when I went in and explained why he had to replace it. After a 4.5 hour drive home that included being stuck in slow moving traffic for about 45 minutes we were very thankful to have a working A/C. Thanks to Luis and the team at Quality Automotive for the excellent service and work on our 2001 Suburban. Last thing, the final bill was $30 under the quote Luis gave me, always a plus. I highly recommend Quality Automotive! Luis, the owner, gave me a great price on parts and repair work, did the work quickly, and went the extra mile to give me more than excellent customer service. It doesn't get any better than this. Felt like I took my car to a car angel! Chuck at Visalia Imports told me that if you need work done on a Hyundai or Kia to take it to Quality Automotive as Luis is the only person in Visalia who has been thoroughly trained on Korean cars, the others are all going to be practicing on your car. Very clean shop and having moved all over California; I have seen some not so clean shops. You can always find Luis cleaning his shop if he is not working on a car. He is very fair and informative. I bring all my cars to him for years before he had a shop since he knows I drive a lot. I brought in my Saab and he always goes out of his way to make sure that it is running in top shape and never charges me labor. Luis always makes sure that if there is anything else not functioning well he informs me on the timeline. He always uses top of the line parts and never upsells anything that a car doesn't need. Two Thumbs Up! I'm new to Visalia and didn't know where to take my truck. Looked up some places on Yelp, and found this shop. Luis was awesome. He didn't take advantage of me money-wise, explained the issues to me clearly. I left my truck on a Monday to have it repaired Tuesday. Shop was kind enough to drop me off at my home. The next evening I was picked up by one of his family members in my repaired truck! A pleasant surprise. We took a drive back to the shop so Luis and I could go over the work done/fill out the paperwork. I was so pleased I offered to pay $50 more than what he was asking. He denied the money. Excellent customer service!!! A spark plug was misfiring...he brought be in the shop to explain what he would have to do to get to them because they were under the intake manifold and showed me on the computer. Once he had everything taken apart he showed me the spark plug and gave me different options to replace them. He also showed that he was replacing them with the exact original parts that Nissan had in there. Luis is extremely friendly and accomadating...offered to take me anywhere i wanted. My Nissan pickup only had 130,000 miles and many to give, until I took it to Quality for a little oil leak. They were given permission to do whatever was needed to repair it. They presented me with the finished product $2,800 dollars later undriveable even after three return visits. Now the truck is ready for the junk yard. Their lucky I haven't sued. My dependable truck was ruined by this garage. I understand these machines can be tricky but they claimed to test drive it. If they had they wouldn't have called and said it was ready. Three times. LUIS is a great mechanic! I have had the worst time trying to diagnose my VW and I kept getting quoted high prices or told "just get a new car." But every time I take it to him he has it back to me in just a few days and he has gone above and beyond to make my car run better. I had issues this year getting it smogged and he fixed the issues, and smogged it for me before I got it back. Is prices are amazing and he is a wonderful hardworking man. Awesome experience! I had received a quote from another mechanic and they told me I needed a $500 alternator. Luis checked out my car and found that I only needed a $50 coil. I was able to take in my car in the morning and get it back by that evening. I was so happy with the service, price, and genuine nature of this business. Thank goodness I found this place.
