Another few feet and the water could drain to the street. Also, the underground pipe has a big "elbow" so water is not flowing freely.

I feel very foolish for hiring this company. The sales rep came to assess the job. He was friendly and seemed efficient and knowledgeable. The quote was a good deal more than any of the other 3 I got, but I felt confident about Quality 1st. My intuition evidently stinks! To begin with, scheduling was very slow after I signed the contract and made payment. I'm talking many weeks. The crew came out and did a nice job in the basement, though I think they could have done a better job cleaning up. The problem is that the outside drain was done very improperly and the rep acknowledged this to be true. I asked for a better job and was willing to pay for the drain to be extended to the street rather than the middle of my lawn. It was like pulling teeth to get the rep to send an estimate and that's when my teeth nearly fell out. The cost was out of this world ridiculous. I requested he sharpen up his pencil and he promised to get back within a few days. Nope! Still waiting!!! Use another company. UPDATE....I was almost immediately contacted so evidently Quality 1st does a great job of monitoring reviews. I'm pleased that the supervisor is going to take care of my concerns. I appreciate this a lot!

I contacted this company to have my 2 car wide driveway leveled because I had an issue with the water puddling on the driveway and running back towards the house they came out and gave me a quote and a start date. They came out to do the work and they lifted and sealed cracks, and after the first rain, I had a huge puddle in the middle of the driveway, so now when you come in and park your vehicle and it's raining you have to step in a puddle to get out of your vehicle to get into the house. I've called them. I've asked the Forman the same day with the issue that the slab is not level he told me it would be fine. I called the office the next day due to the huge puddle that was left from rain that day And they sent a project manager a week and a half later to say it was a birdbath puddle really a birdbath puddle I've done concrete before in my times and never heard of such quote so now I'm waiting to see if they come and fix the issue I've been givin a runaround so far....Not a happy customer !

From the sales team to the installation, and customer service, everyone was helpful and responsive. The installation crew and foremen were knowledgeable and kept the team on schedule working into darkness. Clean up was amazing. No debris was left overnight or the next day. Nails were vacuumed, even attic spaces were vacuumed. I can not say enough about Minn!!!! When customer service is no longer valued, she exemplifies what it means to put the customer first. She answered all my questions (no matter how trivial) with respect and kindness. Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

Our driveway was 6 inches lower than our garage and the walkway wasn't lined up to the driveway or patio. After a few outrageously expensive estimates from several companies and a few aggressive sales pitches I came across Concrete Chiropractor. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.

If you read other reviews, you'll find that their positive experiences mirrored mine. Without hesitation I would recommend Jersey Dry. If you want to know more about my experience, continue reading. Our house had basement water leakage caused by storms for decades before I decided enough was enough and began to research and search for a solution which was the installation of perimeter French drains. I was also apprehensive and cautious to identify the right company who was going to dig up the basement floor in a nearly 100-year-old house. Initially I was planning to interview three contractors and after the third visit I was perplexed by the differences in their proposals. Each recommended a French drain trench along the perimeter of all four walls, but there were differences such as the placement of the exterior discharge pipe, the location of the trench relative to the furnace, type of piping, and duration of work. Regarding piping, one uses PVC; another the flexible perforated, corrugated plastic pipe; and another a grate system with a rectangular plastic piping. All estimates were within a similar cost range. These differences led me to contact a fourth; that was Jersey Dry. Darek Snella provided a comprehensive explanation detailing the scope of work and an estimate for the French drain and two sump pumps. He suggested insulating and encapsulating a crawl space as a separate project. Frankly, that was a sound idea and something I hadn't thought about yet made perfect sense. At no time was there any sales pressure. The estimate was in line with the others. After I contacted quite a few of the provided references and heard lots of reassuring comments about Jersey Dry and Darek and Jerry, I called Darek and he returned to take exacting measurements and to video the specifics of the excavation work. A modest down payment was given and a start date chosen. On the scheduled day, Jerry and the crew promptly arrived. He is a master at his craft as are the team members. Jerry kept me informed on the progress of the work at the start and end of each day. To my surprise, there was never a mess or any dust infiltrating from the basement to upstairs. At the end of each work day, the area was tidied. The noise level was well below than anticipated. Neatness, communicative, friendly and concern - attributes that made the project go well. The crawl space was insulated, leveled and encapsulated, providing unexpected storage. A note about the discharge pipe. Our town doesn't permit cutting the curb to make an opening for the discharge pipe. One of the initial three contractors planned to extend the pipe to the street by cutting a section of the sidewalk and the curb. The other two planned on the outflow to end in the middle of the lawn. Darek (Jersey Dry) planned to excavate under the sidewalk for the discharge pipe and to end with a pop-up at the edge of the curb. No cutting of either the sidewalk slab or the curb. That's what was done and it works without a problem.

Jerry and his team were prompt arriving on the target date and time. They've gone above and beyond ensuring timely completion of the project and diligent follow up to ensure quality work being delivered. I would recommend Jersey Dry Waterproofing for any of the waterproofing project, planned or unplanned.

They never completed the work because they were constantly asking for more money last minute. They will tell you they understand and everything is good and act like they are doing you a favor and then brush you off when you try and make everything 100% clear, telling you "yeah no problem, we got it its all understood" just to then come back asking for more money and claim they don't remember the conversation you had. Pete SR and Pete JR met with us before we signed the contract with our original plans, and then THEY RECOMMENDED that we have the architect make our new driveway entrance 2 cars wide instead of 1. We didn't sign the contract that day, we told the architect to make the change and then signed the contract 2 weeks later, with them knowing about the amendment in progress. They had the amended plans in their hands a week after signing the contract and never brought up anything about the curb cut width they had recommended being an issue. Instead, after 7 months of constantly having to call and text to chase for time frames of the job (after they said it would be a 3-4 month job) Pete JR is unresponsive for weeks before finally answering and claiming I am trying to "slip one by them" by having them do work they never agreed to because the contract was never updated to include the amendment for the 24ft wide driveway. Claiming he doesn't recall the conversation despite being in person at the property with us and measuring it together. And despite me having a SIGNED curb cut permit from them where Pete JR wrote himself the width of the curb cut as 24 feet, but then claims we only agreed on 11 feet wide because that's what the contract says. Then they asked for an extra $9,000 for doubling the curb cut width, after already having been paid an extra $3,400 previously due to their own confusion about the plans from an architect whom THEY RECOMMENDED TO US and told us they used many times. Every time they wanted more money, they threatened us. The first confusion about the plans they said "could be interpreted either way, but either you pay or we won't do it". This situation was also clarified prior in person multiple times, but of course once they wanted more money, they didn't recall that either. And then about the driveway Pete JR said "well the contract says 11 ft curb cut so either you pay extra or the work won't get done, good luck finding someone else to do it" after 7 months of telling us they know the curb cut should be 24 feet wide. Which is funny because they installed an extra flood vent that wasn't on the plans OR the contract, and we DID NOT ask them to do, and then charged an extra 300 dollars for. Clearly their contract only works one way. They owe me 600 dollars that I gave them to purchase materials for the driveway which they never bought or used, told me they will send me the money back, and now are unresponsive for 5 months. They also left a pile of concrete in my backyard, didn't backfill a whole side of the house, and broke the water meter cap and didn't fix it. $600 + $300 for the extra flood vent + concrete left over I had to pay to remove + never completing the backfilling. Over $1000 dollars stolen. Avoid them completely.
