Our driveway was 6 inches lower than our garage and the walkway wasn't lined up to the driveway or patio. After a few outrageously expensive estimates from several companies and a few aggressive sales pitches I came across Concrete Chiropractor. The estimation process was simple as they asked me to take pictures and included a guide on how to do it. They followed up with a phone call and explained the process to me. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.

Then I started feeling very uneasy about it since I could not find any real reviews of them and just the ones they said were 'past employees' and were making it up, blah blah. I also checked with BBB and it STILL shows no rating. Everything seemed shady. They also mentioned that all of their employees were salaried, but the guys who showed up looked like they were picked up from the corner in Paterson. They showed up without the permits, and tried talking me into working without them that the town has the paperwork and knows, yet when I called the town, it would have been a $2000 fine. I told them to come back when they have the permit, then I called and left a message for them to call me back. I spoke to the owner, Peter, and told him I do not feel comfortable and he said since I didnt have a good feeling he would refund all of my money, no fees, but said 'well, we did have to pay for the permits so I'm out that money' and I had already confirmed that the permits were still not picked up and paid for at the Borough Hall. He also said he refunded my credit card, I have yet to see it on my CC bill and this was back in April! My CC company is taking action. Completely shady company, nothing but lies!

I kept them updated after every step of my to-do list that they provided between cleaning out the basement, breaking down the laundry area, and upgrading my electrical to accommodate the battery backup and separate breakers and outlets. They spent 2 days at my house working (3/30/26 & 3/31/26). When they were done, they told me that they would need to come back in a week to tighten some bolts because they had to pour some concrete and needs longer to cure. I said OK and just call me when they were coming back. Work finished 3/31/26. 4/8 - I texted the salesperson asking when they would be coming back. I was told that she would reach out. Nothing further. 4/30 - I texted again asking when they would be coming out. I was told to let her message him. Nothing further. 5/11 - I texted again about their return. She said that she would reach out again. 5/25 - At this point I was annoyed and texted her to just forget it. Told them now that they are paid and got their initial positive review that they don't seem to care . That I was disappointed. Doesn't give me hope for their yearly inspections for 5 years to make sure everything is still running well. So, I am taking away a star from my initial review.

As of June 26, 2026, Bill has been giving me date after date for over two months, promising to return and finish restoring my backyard, but the work still hasn't been completed. My yard is left with piles of dirt, uneven ground, and a large section of concrete that still hasn't been patched. Because of this, my kids haven't been able to safely play outside, and I've had to put off hosting family gatherings all summer. The most frustrating part is that the job has already been paid for. The repeated excuse has been that he's "busy," and communication has been inconsistent, my calls and texts are only answered when it's convenient to him. I appreciated the quality of the plumbing repair itself, but customer service and following through on completing the job have been very disappointing. Proposals are easy to understand and no reading small print, because there are none. The owner Steve will match competitor pricing if lower than what Blue Umbrella offers. A crew of four came. Jose, foreman, did a great job! He was responsible and the crew were timely. Jose even helped me reinstall the dehumidifier to the new sump pump area. They took away all the garbage too! The crew had two large trucks and seemed to have everything down to a science. One truck replaces the other once all the dirt from the basement gets loaded. My job was finished in two days because I needed additional work but this was explained to me and I had agreed to the extra service and charge. Knowing in advance is a good thing! Steve, the owner, came out to meet the me on day one. It was nice of him to come out and meet his client. After having a conversation earlier in the week, I can say Steve is very feisty and passionate about his company. During the early stages, Marvin made sure to show me an additional footer ledge was needed and I wasn't charge for something made up. Everything overt! No surprises or hidden wallet breakers! He brought out a small model to explain how a sump pump works, and how it relates to the home's original foundation drain, cement foundation slab, cinder blocks, etc. He was also patient with me as I asked MANY questions (especially straightening out the false information I received from the previous "hard sell" inspector from a different company).
