Kenta Bond, the owner of this shop is a man of high integrity. He also is a master of customer service. I call him a dinosaur because, even though he is a rather young person, he provides "old time" customer service. His pricing is extremely competitive - better than many - and he truly cares about his customers. The other day he stayed late to make sure my car repair was complete. It was not a simple repair. The car needed an axle. The parts supply house was very late getting him the needed part so Mr. Bond actually got in his car and went to the supply house and picked up the part himself. That pushed the repair completion time back. However, Mr. Bond stayed about an hour past usual closing time to get the job done for me. He does high quality work and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Please help support this small local business. He needs the support far more than the big chain repair shops in the area and his price markups are far less than theirs!

Did he say he would call in the afternoon? No, and he's grumpy that you called to ask. Have you ever bought food from a vending machine and something went wrong with the machine and your bag of chips hung up, not quite dropping down, teasing you in full view but of course the faceless machine can do nothing to help you. That's this place - a vending machine. It would be less frustrating if, in fact, there were no people there so you wouldn't be fooled into thinking that anyone could possibly help you. I ordered a car from another location and it was delivered quickly to Albany. Great. I arrived without an appointment, they acted like I was putting them out, but since I refused to leave they eventually found an unenthusiastic person named Brandon to give me the keys. Drove the car, loved the car, but it had one issue that needed to be corrected. Told them I'd love to buy the car once that was fixed. No worries. A few days later, an employee confirmed that the car was ready for purchase. I drove to Albany (more than an hour from home). Ten minutes away and got a call that the car was NOT in fact even in their lot, it was elsewhere being repaired. The caller offered to comp the fee I had paid to ship the car. Ok, fair enough. Let me know when it will be ready to pick up, please. No word.... no call.... I stopped by the place repairing the car and was told that CarMax had dropped it off days ago and had specifically said that the repair was not rush. Great. But don't worry, employees from around the country will call you at regular intervals to prompt you to purchase the car. I had three employees promise that it was ready to pick up, that it was onsite, ready to go. But it wasn't. Repeated calls to find out when this car would be repaired and ready to purchase. No follow up. I finally got a request from corporate to review my "purchase" which I had not been able to complete yet. I left a similar review there and got a call back from a manager Mo. He apologized and then actually called me when the car was ready. Once Mo was on the job everything went smoothly, and I completed the purchase. I would not go back.

She can't go herself so I called the location to explain the situation and to ask exactly what I needed. They told me a list of things including a Power of Attorney, which I have. I drive the hour and change to my appointment, only to be told that my Power of Attorney was no good because it was a copy and not an original. I explained that they never said on the phone that it had to be an original. Hospitals, banks and investment firms have all accepted the copy, but CarMax's rules won't allow them. What a waste of time. Avoid this place like the plague!

I was able to coast down Rt 7 into Lee, where i parked in the Big-Y lot. A search for auto repairs led me to highly- rated Rt 102 Auto Sales and Repairs. I called them Monday morning and was able to drive the mile to their shop. They were on the case at once and were able to get new parts and make the repair within two days. They saved our vacation with customer-oriented care and repair. I recommend them without reservation!

The first week in April (now 2026) I asked Matt what is taking so long - his response was a shrug and said someone signed the title in the wrong place. Days later he blamed the insurance company but we found out from said insurance company that they were waiting for Coggins to send them the dealer package when the car was purchased. Another issue was a sensor light that was on, they fixed it only to have it light up again an hour later. We will take the car to our mechanic who we trust to solve the problem. We are in our seventies have purchased several cars over the years (more than we can count) and this is the worst experience with a dealership. We bought a car from Haddad Subaru and had the title, inspection and sticker in two days. Be careful where you shop!

I purchased a Toyota Tacoma at Coggins of the Berkshires and will be taking them to court due to…read moretwo illegal repairs. Coggins performed unlawful repairs on the truck that affected both performance and safety after selling it with an audible exhaust leak. Please see photo of illegal silicone repair made to exhaust manifold after truck was brought back only two days after picking up. This illegal repair would only have lasted a few months if it had went unnoticed. After returning truck to Coggins for repair, Coggins kept the truck for several days and 'repaired' with a giant glob of silicone over the leak. This repair would never have passed inspection and was dangerous to the safety of everyone riding inside the truck. My mechanic looked disgusted when he showed me. Also, I was told the truck would be brought to Toyota standards and instead undisclosed aftermarket parts were used. I highly recommend having a mechanic check out any vehicle purchased here. I personally will never purchase anything from Coggins again. Instead, I am reporting them to the Massachusetts State Attorney's Office, the Better Business Bureau, and will be taking them to court.
