This company is TERRIBLE!!! One stars is TOO MANY!!!!! Not only once BUT twice they came to our…read morehouse, broke something and then WE had to pay for it. If you try to talk sense into them they just lie right to your face. I tried to go in and talk to them about my most recent issue and they brushed me off. Our heater needed to be cleaned and was working fine. In fact, it was on when the guy came in and he waited until the heater finished it's cycle. Well, magically, he touched it and it didn't work anymore. He had no idea what was wrong and spent a lot of time on the phone and taking pictures. He couldn't fix it. Next day a new guy comes back and claims it's not working because again magically the piece that was working when they came into the house just stopped the second they touched it (yeah right). But he didn't have the part. Had to come back. Waited 3 days and heard nothing. Mind you, we froze our butts off waiting for them to come back. Finally shows up and puts it in. Charges us for 3 trip fees, on top of the part and the reason he was actually there (which was just to clean it, nothing more). $233... when it was supposed to be $109. Owner doesn't care. And made it clear to us, he would do nothing to work with us because OUR HEATER WAS WORKING FINE BEFORE THEY SHOWED UP. The sole reason we were having it cleaned was because we sold our house and the buyer requested it. It's been perfect for 5 years. Not a single problem. And these jerks touch it and "it's broken"... yeah right. If you go to them, expect to pay WAY more. Because I guarantee... "something will be magically broken". Horrible customer service! A few months prior we had them fix our heater in the kitchen and the thermostat, which again worked perfect before they showed up, magically broke the minute they walked in... I'm seeing a pattern here... stay away from the crooked company!

Part 2: The day…read moreafter posting the previous review, I received another call from that Anchorage Alaska number (Tim). He told me that he saw my post and had no idea that Luke had done this. He and Luke had quite the showdown in the office. He wanted to make good on HIS estimate and would be out in two days. Upon arriving at my house he informed me that Luke had been fired and that they were doing an in-house investigation on him to see if he had been doing this for awhile. The company also discovered that Luke is the brother of the owner of a local competing chimney sweep business and that Luke might've been trying to way over-bid jobs so that people like me would go with his brothers company. Tim completed my job at a cost that was way below his original estimate. I appreciate people like Tim who want to take the time to make things right when there's an obvious wrong. Tim said that Ron (owner) was in agreement of his "fix the problem" attitude and this reflects greatly on the integrity of this company! I will NOW continue to use the services of this company and I hope that Tim gets a big fat raise for this! Tim definitely has a servant's heart and got $20 for his pocket from me for his trouble. Thank you Tim! Also, thank you to Ron! As for Luke (Where ever he is now), he can pick a cheek, pucker up, and kiss my ass!!!!!! It feels good knowing that I got an evil, greedy SOB fired by exposing him!

Unfortunately unbeknownst to me, he used my interest in the property to persuade other potential buyers to make offers prior to my arrival. Then he Did NOT have the professionalism or common courtesy to inform me that he had done so. I wouldn't have a problem with the fact that he used me to heat up the price or even get more bids, but then the agent left me out of the bidding process all together. I only found out his deception the day i was booked and checked in, to fly up, meet with him, review the property and place a bid. I don't know if this was approved by the owner, but he was copied on my later correspondence with his agent. I would use caution or play it safe and choose another reality company all together.

Where to start with these guys... first off, this review is for the Colville store, but there is no…read morespecific entry in Yelp for that store. My relationship with Northstar started when they installed the heat pump in our new construction home. The heating system was wired incorrectly, and had to be fixed by them. They left several ducts not connected to vents. This was found by me going into the crawl space, and seeing no ducts connected to several vents... A leak in the system developed, but no leak could initially be found. I was told by Norstar that the loss of 8 lbs of refrigerant was the probable result of a theft of the fluid...several hundred dollars later, the unit was working , but with very high energy bills. Norstar came back out, and again found the unit was short on refrigerant. After $400 more dollars in testing, several leaks were found. They seem to have a hard time with the long term fix of a system, and our more concerned with short term solutions (that then need more fixes in the future). They have always been friendly with me, but my wife has had mixed results with Norstar on the phone. In one example the service manager basically said my wife was lying on a scheduled appointment. It was a miscommunication in which the service manager told my wife that he remembered the conversation between my wife and I better than we did...not a great example of customer service... We do love the Lopi wood stove we purchased from them, and they did a good job installing it....but for technical repairs/assessments, I cannot recommend them. We went with another company for the repair of our system. It should be noted that there were several other negative issues we had with Norstar that were not mentioned in this review.

He even noticed that our hot water hose was dripping a little bit and cautioned us to monitor it. While he was here, I noticed how disgusting our ceiling vents were getting. Casey called his boss and was able to make time to clean those on the same visit. A Nu-Look was easy to book, responded quickly, arrived on time, did a great job, cleaned everything afterwards, and was very reasonably priced. I will certainly be using them for our other cleaning needs!
