This company is TERRIBLE!!! One stars is TOO MANY!!!!! Not only once BUT twice they came to our…read morehouse, broke something and then WE had to pay for it. If you try to talk sense into them they just lie right to your face. I tried to go in and talk to them about my most recent issue and they brushed me off. Our heater needed to be cleaned and was working fine. In fact, it was on when the guy came in and he waited until the heater finished it's cycle. Well, magically, he touched it and it didn't work anymore. He had no idea what was wrong and spent a lot of time on the phone and taking pictures. He couldn't fix it. Next day a new guy comes back and claims it's not working because again magically the piece that was working when they came into the house just stopped the second they touched it (yeah right). But he didn't have the part. Had to come back. Waited 3 days and heard nothing. Mind you, we froze our butts off waiting for them to come back. Finally shows up and puts it in. Charges us for 3 trip fees, on top of the part and the reason he was actually there (which was just to clean it, nothing more). $233... when it was supposed to be $109. Owner doesn't care. And made it clear to us, he would do nothing to work with us because OUR HEATER WAS WORKING FINE BEFORE THEY SHOWED UP. The sole reason we were having it cleaned was because we sold our house and the buyer requested it. It's been perfect for 5 years. Not a single problem. And these jerks touch it and "it's broken"... yeah right. If you go to them, expect to pay WAY more. Because I guarantee... "something will be magically broken". Horrible customer service! A few months prior we had them fix our heater in the kitchen and the thermostat, which again worked perfect before they showed up, magically broke the minute they walked in... I'm seeing a pattern here... stay away from the crooked company!

We originally had a time-and-materials proposal from Handyman that could vary anywhere from about $2,100 to $3,400 which was within our budget. Robert came in and suggested he just give us a fixed price (with better fixtures) so there's no confusion. We were fine with that and were pleasantly surprised when his fixed price was at the very low end of the spread we expected. He also had to repair a broken underground line at no added charge and the outcome is better than the original. Robert was great to work with, a very nice guy, and very honest and forthcoming. There were major issues to correct and enhance the home on the property I purchased in Addy, Washington. Henry is a top notch professional who takes care of every job as if it belongs to his own family. My main panel was removed from outside of the house and placed inside the garage. My large workshop was totally redone to code from a DYI nightmare, and my wonderful garden and garden shed now have a dedicated panel and all the proper electrical access needed. I have not reviewed sooner because I don't like writing negative reviews because I know it can hurt a business but I also believe we have a responsibility to other consumers to share our experiences so they can make informed decisions. I was assured that this unit would IMPRESS but all it has done is disappoint. It does not heat or cool this VERY small space. Epic was called and came out twice only to tell me that it was working properly. We are faced with using space heaters, fans and a portable AC to find any relief from the cold and heat in the winter and summer, respectively. I just find it disappointing that more locally owned businesses don't stand behind their work or their product. Are we a society that focuses on greed and not quality? My message to those consumers who might be considering EPIC, would be to keep on looking, you'll thank me later.

Nearly a month passed while the errant part wended its way towards Epic. We endured sub-zero temperatures while playing musical space heaters to keep parts of the house warm without tripping breakers. We were promised our repair the Tuesday after Xmas. Epic managed to get the furnace repaired just before Xmas eve. Thanks for making our Xmas merry and WARM!!
