Absolutely loved this malatang / dry pot spot! The 香锅 was super flavorful and fragrant, with the perfect balance of spicy and savory Every ingredient tasted fresh, and I liked that you can pick exactly what you want -- tons of options from meats and seafood to veggies and noodles. The portion size was generous, and everything was cooked evenly and coated in sauce. We chose medium spicy and it had a great kick without being too overwhelming. Service was fast and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you're craving spicy dry pot, this place definitely hits the spot. Will 100% come back again

This spicy depot bullfrog is amazing! We got extra orders. Tastes incredible

Been here countless times and it's consistently delicious. The Beef Dry Pot is a must-try--super fragrant, perfectly spicy, and loaded with all the good stuff. If you haven't tried it yet, you're seriously missing out. Always a Five-Star experience!

Probably the best dry pot place in Rowland heights area. The seasoning was so delicious in the dry pot. We got a variety of veggies and meat in our pot. I feel like because we got so much, they didn't put a lot of each since it would over fill. So please be mindful of how much you order! The ambiance was pretty good and it is family friendly.

Tried Qi Wei Kitchen for malatang dry pot / spicy stir fry and it was surprisingly good. The flavor had real wok hei and wasn't overly greasy or salty like a lot of other places. Everything was well seasoned, especially the lotus root, beef, bean sprouts, and vegetables. Portion size was generous and perfect with rice.

Delicious food amazing restaurant in the Rowland height and restaurant environment is nice

If you love heat, this place delivers The flavors are bold, the spice levels are real (not just for show), and everything tasted fresh. I ordered medium and it was already pretty spicy--so choose wisely! Great spot for spicy food lovers, but maybe not for the faint of heart.

Catfish is my favorite! The price is reasonable and the food is good for two! Restaurant looks clean and bright! Love it!

This restaurant offers a smaller individual pot option at lunchtime, which is perfect if you don't want to order a huge pot, and the portion was very generous. The spicy flavor was incredibly fragrant. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick, comforting, and flavorful lunch. Definitely recommend if you're craving authentic spicy hot pot flavors!

I've been here many times with friends. The food is always delicious and the portions are great. Really enjoyed it!

Although there was only one lady working in the front, she actually was able to run everything(taking the orders, clean the tables, packing the food and refill essentials/food) very well. On top of it, super high positive energy when greeting the customers. One of the main reasons this place reserved the 5-stars reviews. Place is clean and was label. After you placed and paid for the order, just simplely find a table, kitchen will bring the order to you, and you can start serving yourself with 4 great selection of congees (personally 八宝粥 and 小米粥 were my favorites), plus soy milk. I didn't try the side dishes this time. Surely will come back to try it out next time. They have sugar and salt on the side, so you can add according to your own taste. Neither congee nor soy was salted/sweetened, so if you prefer more flavor, definely grab a seasoning dish, and load up the sugars to your likes. They don't have cold soy milk, and don't sell fried donut(油条). That's the only complains I got. Overall, a great breakfast/lunch place.

They specialize in freshly steamed buns (baozi) and feature an all-you-can-eat congee bar. The lady working there speaks Mandarin; she asked if it was my first time, and I told her it was. For just $3, you get unlimited soup and congee with four different varieties to choose from. For an extra $2.50, you get unlimited refills from a selection of four cold side dishes. They also offer à la carte steamed baos, wontons, and dumplings for dine-in or takeout. I didn't have much of an appetite today, so I skipped the buns and just ordered the congee and appetizers. My bill came out to only $5.50 plus tax, which is ridiculously cheap! For the congee, the options were Century Egg & Lean Pork, Eight Treasure, Millet, and Hulatang (Spicy Pepper Soup). I tried the Century Egg & Lean Pork congee, but the texture was a bit watery, and the flavor was somewhat bland. The Hulatang (hot pepper soup) was a little too thick and jelly-like. While the Millet congee was also on the bland side, I actually really enjoyed the texture. I skipped the Eight Treasure congee this time. Honestly, at $3 for all-you-can-eat congee, it sounds too good to be true, so I didn't have high expectations for the quality. However, I really liked the cold side dishes bar! They had all my favorites, including Liángbàn Tǔdòusī (shredded potato salad), shredded wood ear mushroom salad, and spicy cucumber salad. I will definitely go back next time to try their dumplings, wontons, and baozi.

We just wanted to try these out & I just learned from the other reviews that these are jianbings. These seem simple and healthy since you can taste each ingredient - little to no salt other than from the hot dogs/sauces/cracker/chili oil used to make it spicy. Some might find that bland but I love the simplicity. Great snack/light meal, and more casual than typical Chinese restaurant food. My husband and I came by to try their jianbing a few Sundays ago. We were lucky to find parking right on the same curb, in front of this vendor. When we arrived around 12:53 pm, we had 2 parties ahead of us. After ordering, it took a little less than 15 minutes for our order. We only ordered 1 Chinese crepe to share since it is pretty big. There were 2 chairs to sit with a large outdoor umbrella to provide shade, so we sat down and ate our crepe (although most people who ordered their crepes usually just walked away. But it is highly recommended to eat their purchase within 10 minutes, according to their sign (and I agree, or the crepe will get soggy and all that hard effort to make the crepe would seem to be wasted). The crepe (or jianbing) itself is made with 2 eggs, beef hot dog (we were asked if we wanted everything. You can have the beef hot dog omitted if you are vegetarian), hoisen sauce, chili oil, mung beans, black sesame seeds and a large crispy cracker that is cut in half. The cracker is the best part because of the texture. This crepe was really good and very filling. I did ask if the young woman making our crepe to use very little chili oil since I am not a spicy eater (if my husband had ordered a separate one, then he would have asked for a lot more chili oil though). I don't have jianbing often since there are very few places that make them (the last time I had one was at the T &T Market in Canada last year actually and I love their jianbing) but this one was pretty good and I definitely see myself coming back. The price for this large crepe was only $10 (cash or you can also pay via Zelle). The person who was working the day we visited (based on other fellow Yelp member reviews and photos, it looks like it could be 1 of 4 people.... a young lady, a young man, an older woman and an older man) was able to speak in both Mandarin and English so you shouldn't have an issue trying to order.

We also ordered their steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chive and you can tell it was made fresh by the wrinkles in the rice paper. The last item we ordered was their chinese sausage clay pot. It was exactly what we were craving. Crispy rice all along the edges with perfectly steamed rice, chinese broccoli and crispy chinese sausage. It was hard to choose because their menu was huge and we came late so we missed the pineapple buns but definitely need to try it next time. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.
