Not as good as before The side dish tastes sour and smelly Very disappointed Maybe there's no Ac inside so the food easy get rotten..

Food is good. Service? What service?

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I came here for lunch today with one other person, and the entire experience was honestly baffling and uncomfortable. The restaurant was only about 1/3 full when we arrived. We found a table and sat down, only for the woman owner to rush out of the kitchen and demand that we move. She claimed the table we chose was "reserved for a party of 4," even though the table she moved us to was the exact same size. Whatever, we obliged. Then it got weird. A few minutes later, another couple walked in, sat at our original table, and she gave them the same speech and shoved them into a corner. Ten minutes after that, a third couple walked in and sat at that same "reserved" table--and this time, she didn't say a word. She just let them stay. The other displaced couple and I just looked at each other in total confusion. It felt completely arbitrary and honestly disrespectful. The "service" here is non-existent anyway. It operates like a food court: you have to get your own water and walk up to the counter just to order your food. They basically just drop the plate and disappear. Because of the rude treatment and the fact that I did all the work myself, I didn't leave a tip. To my shock, the owner actually had the gall to come out and demand a tip. The level of entitlement is unreal. You can't treat customers like an inconvenience, provide zero service, and then expect to be rewarded for it.

Pork chop and chicken leg rice

This review is so long overdue. My family and I used to come here consistently and it does not disappoint. This restaurant is small and family owned. Trust me when I tell you that their pork chops and specifically the fried chicken leg is so much more superior than any other Taiwanese restaurant I've ever been to. I don't know how they are able to achieve such flavor, tenderness, and crispiness of the meat. Super good! And it comes with sides that varies every day. This time it came with ma po tofu and veggies. The meal always comes with an egg. I crave their food all the time and I'm sad that I don't live that close to Rowland heights anymore, but whenever I'm in this area, I will always consider this place as one of my meal choices.

Definitely some of the best Taiwanese pork chops you can get in LA. Pork chop had nicely crispy outside and achieved that perfect flavor you find with Taiwanese pork chops. Although their pork chop was really good, their fried chicken leg tasted even better in my opinion. Popcorn chicken was fine. Their rice and noodle soup tasted standard. I liked the service. It's gonna be hard to search for another restaurant in LA that does Taiwanese pork chops better than this place. So search no further and just come here!

Haven't been here in awhile, food is still as tasty and service is better! Will come again soon

Hair under the pork chops. Gross.

Came to get my pick up. While I got to the store, I waited by the cashier for my order. I figured I would get a cup and get water, which is right next to the cashier. As I grabbed the paper cup, the (rude) lady yells from INSIDE the kitchen: There's no water for pick up orders. (Geez, super Nazi!) Their pork chop is good, but will definitely make an effort to never come back. Update: Just started eating our take out and my son just told me there's a hair in his pork chop. Time to ask the health department to check their sanitation.

Noodles with pickled greens and crispy pork chops.

Got the pork chop and noodles. The soup was not that salty and the pork was crispy. The picked greens were tasty and added great flavor. Don't expect much service or a super clean place and your expectations won't be dashed.

Authentic, delicious Taiwanese food at a very affordable price. Service is great despite only two people running the restaurant. Ambiance is casual like a mom and pop Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended!

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

The price point felt very fair, especially with the dumplings coming in at $14.85. Ambiance was casual and clean, jazz music with nice wall art. The food was good, the scallion pancakes were perfect for splitting between us. I also really appreciated the balanced portion control; it felt like just the right amount of food without being overwhelming. We were only ones in the restaurant near end of business on a Sunday night. Service speed was expected as cook to order. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a simple and reasonable meal in Walnut or near Mt. San Antonio College. FYI photos are of the wall art, food was devoured.

Their mala beef noodle soups are solid, the broth is rich and the noodles are firm enough. The restaurant has very generous portions for their appetizers. The seaweed app is a heaping mountain and the popcorn chicken always comes on a large plate. Their drinks are also big so it's great to share with the group. Their dan dan noodles with rice noodles was savory, with that lovely peanut base sauce. Their Crab & pork xiao lou bao is super delicious. Their skin is thin and the soup inside just fills your mouth. Honestly i think it's better than Din tai fung for that alone. The beef tomato noodle was filled with thick, tender beef chunks, and the diced tomato was actually sauted with savory seasoning. You can see many locals come here to enjoy excellent quality comfort food. From Ordering to being served was a matter of minutes. Great for limited lunch break people! Very clean, simply decorated place.

They used to have made-to-order food but now they switched to buffet style. It's small but it's special since it's the only veg buffet in the area. I think it's a wonderful and fun switch. I haven't had a "good" buffet experience since I started eating vegetarian 8 years ago!! When we go to a normal buffet, the options are so limited (even more when you're vegan) but it can't be helped if the rest of your party wants to go and aren't veg. The food tastes pretty decent and "clean." Nothing feels super artificial or incredibly greasy or unhealthy. I think the only thing I wasn't fond of was the bok choy because it was a tad over-salted. I would love to go back and try their instant ramen bar too! They had two noodle machines and a toppings bar. On the other side of it is where you can choose from three drinks and add in drink toppings as well. They had milk tea, a Taiwanese black tea, and an herbal tea. All drink options were on the sweeter side so if sweet isn't your thing then just stick to water! Service is mainly just when you walk in and pay for the food so I can't speak much on it. It's self-serve and you throw away your own plates, bowls, and utensils as they are disposable types. I personally think it'd be better to switch to reusable because it would make less waste but I suppose they offer what they can handle within their means. I would definitely come here again!

The cuts are perfectly thick and tender, and mixing it with the runny egg is incredibly satisfying. Even better than my usual go-to spots. We also tried the Taiwanese Mini Hot Pot--the broth is mild, but their Shacha dipping sauce is super authentic and hits the spot. The Stir-fried Water Spinach had great wok hei, too. But the real plot twist was the Pineapple Bun with Butter. I normally skip these because I find them too sweet, but theirs is a game-changer. Extremely crispy on the outside with that perfect slice of cold butter melting inside. Great portions, quick service, and a very comfortable environment to just sit down and enjoy a solid meal with friends. Highly recommend!
