Holiday Bag Contest Disappointment I want to share my experience today at this QFC so other families are aware. My daughter spent days creating her drawing to participate in the Holiday Bag Contest. She was very proud of her work and excited to see it displayed. We went to submit her bag on October 31st, following all the rules of the contest and handing it directly to a cashier. A few days later, we went back to see the display, and her bag was missing. We asked for help and were told to return on November 3 to speak with a supervisor. When we did, the supervisor Alycia told us the bag was lost. I pointed out the cashier we gave it to (he was there working), and he said he didn't know where he put it. She asked someone to take my name and number but then dismissed us. I felt so sad and helpless standing there with my daughter. I asked to speak with the manager Phil, who told my daughter she could "just make another bag" and said he was sorry. There was nothing done to resolve the situation or show empathy, and no accountability to ensure employees handle these things with more care. My daughter started crying right there in the store when he told her to make another one. It was heartbreaking to see how little compassion was shown toward her after all the effort and excitement she had put into her bag. This experience left my daughter and our family extremely disappointed. She told me she doesn't want to visit that store again, and I understand why. I know mistakes can happen, but the lack of care, responsibility, and empathy made it so much worse. This was not just about a missing bag or winning a contest--it was a moment that will leave a lasting negative impact on a child. We truly believed this community event was taken seriously because it involved children. Our family always supported this store, but after this, we will no longer shop here. I moved into this neighborhood a year ago and I visit here often because it's close. I do avoid it when I can because it's just way overpriced and they are usually out of something when I need it. I've been going to this store my whole life and even worked there during the pandemic. To all the one star reviewers: you do realize that they don't pay enough for their employees to care about you right. If you get service at all, even just in the checkout line, then in my opinion that staff is doing above and beyond what is actually required of them. I have loved my neighborhood Qfc. Until now. Over $100 in groceries and I had to check out my own order. I was pissed. I did not want to spend 10 minutes looking up all the produce codes for my unmarked fruited vegetables at 7:30 in the evening. No, I wanted a Qfc cashier to do that for me. Then to charge me now for cash back... I'm done. I'm 58 and a life long Qfc shopper. No more. Hello Safeway and the PCC. Honestly Qfc doesn't even rate one star any more. That's sad. We have been shopping here for ten years since it is very close to our home. You would think after all that time there would be some level of recognition and friendliness. Like the many other comments, it is the least engaged and friendly staff I have experienced at a grocer. Sushi guy is great and makes a real quality product. Bargains are available if you work at the coupons, but you also have to keep a close eye on what you actually get charged. I have been overcharged too many times and pointing it out is met with frustration rather than an apology for the incorrect charge. Will continue to shop here for the convenience but hope someone will actually pay attention to all the feedback and initiate some changes. read more

Probably the worst QFC I have ever been to. Selection is very poor here compared to other QFC's and other grocery stores. The pricing is also higher. I only come here because it's the closest to me. Last year they did some remodeling but you can't even really tell. While most of the staff is super friendly I always hear some loud mouth woman near the deli/fried food area and she's not polite and very distracting towards others including staff. read more

I always forget this store existed. It's the "backside" of the hill to my view, and in the winding world of Finn Hill roads, isn't a straight shot from home. But, Albertson's is gone, Safeway is getting even prissier and douchier (and I do NOT like their new way of doing sales/coupons on the phone app.. wrong prices, overcharged, etc every time i've used it), leaving this or the other QFC down off 124th. This is a smaller than the new average sized store, but manages to squeeze in more deli, bakery, small wine section and a few self-checkout lanes. What makes it seem small is the aisles. They are narrower than most folks are used to, so the effect on a busy day can feel a bit claustrophobic. I've always had generally friendly encounters with the staff. They aren't very chatty - which i kind of like in a cashier- and they are very quick - which I like even more. It'd be nice to see a revitalization and remodel here, and they could secure their spot as "the" store on the hill here. One plus, is it is walkable from my place, so I wont run short of booze the next WinterHorrorSnowDoom that hits. read more

The staff are not cordial, welcoming or friendly like in all the Fred Meyer stores. They act like they are doing you a huge favor when u inquire about something or ask for help. I came in on crutches @ age 72 and had to beg, borrow and practically steal to get assistance with electric scooter. Checkout experience equally bad. My experience in all Fred Meyer stores also owned by Kroger has been just the opposite of QFC. This store is closest to where i live so it is my go to location for convenience. read more

It's depressing this is the closest grocery store to my house, as I actively dread shopping here. The employees are so disengaged and seem very unhappy to be working here. I mean, I know it's not the greatest shopping center and all, but you could at least smile when I ask you how your day is or look me in the eye when I ask you a question about where to locate an item. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is worth going out of my way to shop elsewhere in order to have a better shopping experience. Giving two stars instead of one, because it's "Doughnut Fridays" in my household, and QFC has Top Pot doughnuts at half the price of the actual store in Juanita Village. I'll be quick and to the point. QFC is overpriced and understocked. If you want the latest products just out on the market, look elsewhere. If you want the best prices, look elsewhere. But, for my money this QFC is the best place to shop. Why? It's a smaller store with a loyal staff. They get to know you and they genuinely care about their customers, especially the ones that need the most help in life. Outside of a small town where everybody knows your name, you aren't going to get a more personal experience. I very rarely shop anywhere else. read more

This is the closest store to my home, if it were not, I would never shop here. It is a small store so the selection is limited. It also seems that they have stopped carrying many of the brands and items that I like and replaced them with store brands that I often don't care for. The staff seems pretty disengaged, in 20 years of living in the area, the only staff person that I have had a positive and ongoing connection with is Dean the wine guy ( who was excellent) and he recently left. Now I go elsewhere for wine and only stop here if I don't have the time or desire for a bit longer drive. I do think the guys in the back in meats and seafood do a good job and the selection and quality there is decent. read more

While QFC may be a bit pricier than other stores, especially the likes of Albertsons, I come here almost every time for groceries. Beyond having some of the freshest produce you can find, their higher margins means they can afford to stock many more different and premium varieties of foods, both fresh and processed. Additionally, the QFC branded foods like the cottage cheese usually last longer than other cheaper generic store brands, like Safeway Select. The wine selection at this particular QFC is not as large as some other QFC's in the area, but it does have a surprising range of low to high grade wines; there just aren't loads of parallel brands of the same quality taking up shelf space. read more

I don't do my regular shopping here, this is my 'ohiforgot' store. I'm glad for it too, so I don't have to run to the corner store and substitute Cheez Whiz, Doritos and Bud for manchego, fresh french bread and a good red. Speaking of, check out their discounted wines. There's some good stuff in there! If I shopped here for all my groceries I would go broke! How do those other women do it? Ah well, I consider this a very, very well-stocked corner store complete with good wines and cheeses and an excellent produce section. QFC Juanita drive ...please update store hours on the door and website!

Been shopping here for the last 5 years because it's on my way home from work. My first complaint is that they recently moved product around in the store. What would be helpful is to put a sign in the aisle of where the product was moved too so you don't have to go down each aisle hunting for things; it's a wast of time. Secondly, during the snow storms a few weeks ago, the carts were in the parking lot and none available near the entrance. There were several employees bagging; couldn't the manager recognize that there were no carts and send one of them out to collect them. This store lacks good management. The one positive thing is that last year they switched out the person who makes the fresh sushi and it is really good now. read more

I have been spoiled by the sushi at Metropolitan Market, Central Market and Whole Foods. On a whim I just bought two rolls here from their sushi department. Why, or why??? You could taste the fish - the rank taste of fish that was caught last week, cut up and put into a container for future use. Do NOT eat sushi from here. Bakery items? Absolutely!!! Sushi? I can walk here so even if it was terrible I would probably end up doing all my shopping here, fortunately I really like this location. When I first moved to Kenmore I had some problems with the produce but they seem to be paying much more attention to the produce and I've noticed a big increase in quality and quantity of what they have on hand. I think every time I go in there is someone tending to the produce section. I had one very grumpy night where it was late at night and I was working long days in retail around the holiday season and the last thing I wanted to do was scan in my own #@&%ing groceries especially big piles of produce that I'd have to look up the codes for. They close their manned cash registers at a certain point at night but the guy manning the desk that oversees the self check lanes rang up my stuff for me so I didn't have to punch the touch screen when I couldn't find the stupid code for jalapenos. The staff is all very friendly and I'm sure if I were less antisocial when grocery shopping half of them would know my name by now. I also like that the staff has seemed to stay pretty consistent over the years that I've lived here. They carry Boar's Head deli products which is nice, they occasionally have some great seafood. One thing I really like is that they have all kinds of weird cuts of meat on discount that I can use for stock like ox tails and cross cut beef shanks. I never have a problem with them being understocked on anything, they even carry some awesome weird stuff like Australian muesli bars and French mustard with Herbs de Provence that I'm sure I'm killing the planet by buying. I can't really speak to the prices, I shop for deals on everything except food which is the number one expense in my life; I at least know they are cheaper than shopping for everything at Whole Foods. read more

This store is depressing, overpriced, and poor food quality. Stocked produce and fruit is rotten and moldy before the expiration dates, the seafood/meat counter smells, NEVER EVER buy anything from the deli, and the shelves are rarely fully stocked. I particularly enjoy maneuvering around all the stock boxes left unattended in aisles. This could be a great store since it's the only grocery store on Finn Hill. Other than the convenience to my house, with every bad QFC experience, I'm buying less products at this store. I agree with the other posters, the staff is indifferent, unprofessional, and socially challenged - the management must be awful. I'll continue to support Safeway and Trader Joe's. read more

I never would have thought to leave a review about a grocery store, but I absolutely adore the staff here. I stop by here quite often because it's on my way home from work and this QFC is far superior to the stores I have closer to home. This is a smaller store but the staff all treats you like family and greets me with a smile when I'm in. They always act like it's a huge deal if there's more than 1 or 2 people in line and call for additional cashiers, who actually seem happy to help when they respond. Totally appreciated over Safeway where they seem to have 1 cashier for every 5 to 10 people and the employees act inconvenienced when they're called to help. Also one time I casually mentioned to a cashier that they were out of a product I was looking for and they called a manager who actually RAN up to the checkout lane to bring me a different product to try for free. Its pretty cool to see big companies who still treat their customers like a mom & pop shop! read more

I have lived in this area for 30 years. I've contacted QFC headquarters to explain why I always avoid this particular store. They've contacted me each time but instead of the problem being addressed, it seems to be ignored. My son in law went there since he was just visiting and said how unfriendly and rude the clerk was. Back when spending $80.00 on groceries was a stretch, I really felt I deserved a "thank you". That's all I want and it's what I don't get. I will go out of my way to shop elsewhere even though this store is so convenient. The store itself is nice.....the staff isn't. I see other reviews comment on the same thing. I would think with competition being what it is, someone from that store would read reviews and take a BIG step to improve the staff. I've even seen answers from businesses respond to a bad review. It would be great if the management cared enough to read these comments and try to stay on top of things to improve the attitude of the clerks. For now, as in the past, I'll go out of my way NOT go to this particular QFC. read more

This may be the worst grocery store in King or Snohomish counties. A clerk dropped and broke a bottle of Worcestershire Sauce, gave my wife a new one, and then proceeded to put the broken one in the shopping bags as wel without telling her he did so. Her car now reeks of it and had to be cleaned, It got all over our kitchen counters and the shopping bags, We have gotten mouldy, inedible raspberries at least twice and they aren't responsive to complaints, We will not return.. read more

What a horrible store! I have shopped at QFC for decades and this particular store is way, way beneath the level of customer service I expect at QFC. A few days ago I ventured in and found that they had no checkers to man the check stands!!! Really?? Can this be true? My daughter and friends assure me that this happens frequently. I was forced to use the self check out which took me about three times longer than usual. And the poor checker who was in charge of the self-checkouts was completely harried and overwhelmed, not because she didn't know what she was doing, but because the situation was untenable. I'm switching to Safeway, something I thought I would never do. Perhaps the store manager needs a refresher course on how to keep his/her employees happy (they aren't very happy) and his/her store in better order. YIKES! read more
