The only issue I have with this location is there is constantly some issue. Either one of the fountain dispensers doesnt work. The press burns and sticks the quesadilla. The app promos not working. On and on. So what does go well? The folks working here hop in and resolve the issues with a smile. Burnt quesadilla gets remade with an apology and a free drink. The food is always solid and more options than their big competitor. Daughter gets the nachos, with chips served on the side. I get the bowl with Chalula chicken and spicy queso. Mouth on fire, but oh SO GOOD. A bit of a pain getting out to head back South, but worth the visit. read more

Everything was absolutely phenomenal at this location. The thing that stood out to me the most is the willingness and effort the staff are willing to go to ensure your experience is top notch. They mention all the deals and things that are included and every remind you of the rewards. I feel like a lot of places don't remind you to scan rewards on purpose to where you miss out of free stuff. Two lovely ladies checked us out and they made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you! I've started to come to this Qdoba much more frequently lately, rather than another popular Mexican restaurant we're all used to. The staff here have always been friendly and greet you when you walk in. The food is fresh and the portions are great. I haven't received an order that skimped out on protein or toppings like I'm used to at other places (Chipotle). Also guac is not extra! The inside is clean and modern with outdoor seating available. Only once the chips were super super salty but overall, they are very good and again, the chip bags are filled much fuller than other places... Definitely recommend if you are hungry! read more

QDOBA Mexican Eats is a nationwide chain that I've had a handful of times over the years. I've been to this location in North Scottsdale twice. Parking isn't a problem in a shopping center they share with Panera and several other businesses. On both occasions, I ordered takeout. Think of QDOBA as a better version of Chipotle. Service (4.5/5): You order at the counter, cafeteria-style so service isn't a big part of the experience. With that being said, on both visits, everyone I have interacted with has been friendly, nice, and efficient. It seems like a well-trained staff. Ambiance (3/5): Pretty much your typical fast-casual Mexican restaurant. Clean and comfortable, but nothing to write home about. Drinks (4/5): Your typical assortment of soft drinks, with something a little extra. They also have bottles of Jarritos in several different flavors. If you haven't had Jarritos, it's a Mexican juice brand. Food (4/5): When comparing QDOBA to other fast casual Mexican concepts, I like that they have a good variety of protein choices. They also have a cheese-crusted quesadilla, which I haven't seen anywhere else. This is what I've gone with both times. The first time, I did half hot chicken and half steak. The second time, all steak. You can do double protein for a surcharge. From there, you have the choice of 3 toppings among various salsas, guac, queso, tortilla strips, cilantro, and several other options. I went with guac, queso, and tortilla strips on the side. At a lot of places like QDOBA, queso (and even guacamole) are upcharges. Not here which is a nice touch! If you're getting your food to go, you get it in a recyclable box which is a nice touch. If you're looking for a quick, affordable, and pretty solid meal, QDOBA makes for a good choice. Pro tip: If you have a Chase Freedom card, they often have cash back deals at QDOBA. read more

I have been a Qdoba fan since high school and was so glad to find one relatively close to home! I was in Scottsdale for an appointment and wanted a quick bite to eat. Imagine my delight when I found this familiar favorite nearby! I ordered the tacos with a side of chips and queso. I was uncertain about the protein I wanted to try, so the staff member gave me a small sample cup to try their hot honey chicken. I was craving something salty and took myself to Qdoba for the first time. I used to enjoy their competitor, but stopped going there a while ago. The staff were very friendly and very informative. They conversed with me from the moment I entered to the moment I left. This establishment is very similar to chipotle and cava so you get to pick everything as you go. I did the bowl with tortilla on the inside (they also have a tostada style shell) with white rice and habanero lime steak which was full of flavor. I picked most of the toppings too. Bonus points for free quac, queso & chips!! Who doesn't love that? Overall was a clean establishment and I did enjoy every bite. I will return and will be a frequent customer. read more

I ordered a steak burrito and I got more rice than I did steak and the rice was cooked. Good however the steak was extremely overdone. First time I've tried QDOBA today, my first impression was not good. Once at the counter I asked for a burrito with white rice, the guy behind me was asked what he wanted as well a bowl other worker crabbed the bowls took all the white rice, I had to wait 10 minutes because of this! While waiting I took a look around and the place WAS dirty! There was stuff EVERYWHERE! Finally got my burrito guy behind the counter that cut the dude behind me was very rude! The drink counter had liquids everywhere as well. Not a great first impression AT ALL the burrito was mid, I wouldn't recommend this location to my worst enemy. read more

Overall I like Qdoba, but this experience at this location today, really fell short. And I didn't say anything at the time, cause I actually felt sorry for the girl training, I think she may have had some learning disabilities, and I didn't want to upset her. I ordered the 3 tacos entree, these tacos were basically just shells and little to no ingredients on the inside. She even forgot the sour cream that I had to ask the cashier for. Not trying to be mean, but for $15 for 3 tacos this was a huge miss! After many terrible experiences at the other burrito chain to which I plan never to return, and then the failure and closure of several other Q. locations in the region a couple years ago, Qdoba has opened a few corporate not franchised locations - this one in North Scottsdale, another down the road near Fashion Square, a third in Gilbert, and a 4th on Ray Rd. We ate about 7 pm. Food was fresh and tasted good. Service was friendly and helpful explaining how the qdoba system works. Portions are large - our bowls were overflowing. Choices include tacos, burritos, salads, bowls, pinto or black beans, white or brown rice, grilled peppers and onions, a number of chicken, beef and pork preparations, queso, and a number of other toppings, all available at no extra charge. The restaurant was clean, as were the bathrooms. Everything on the food line is tasty and natural, with the exception of the queso, which has the consistency of canned condensed cream of mushroom soup, and a bit of the same flavor. Not hateful, but not wonderful either. This location is a bit hidden from view, but is in a strip mall off Scottsdale Rd., just north of a Home2Suites hotel. Two of us had dinner, soft drinks, and extra queso and chips for $29. read more

The food on the line looked old, dry and crusted over.
