Senor Taco missed the mark for me a little bit. Maybe my hopes were too high because my mom hyped it up, but we swung through the drive-through (which was awesome btw -- need more fast-casual taco drive through spots in Chicago) for some quick tacos on the go. I tried the mini street tacos and went with al pastor, carne asada, and pollo. The carne asada was the best of the three, but was still a little bland overall. The meat on the al pastor and pollo had an odd taste, and after a couple bites of each I didn't want to finish them. Next time I would get all carne asada. I did enjoy the guac and salsa. The wait was about 10 minutes after we placed our order in the drive through, so keep in mind it's not super speed but is made fresh. read more

I had a weird experience in their drive thru. I had never been here. I wanted to go through their drive thru because my lunch time is only 30 min. After I placed my order, the person didn't say anything about where to pull up. I pulled up to the first window I saw and sat there for almost 5 min before someone actually opened the window. I almost drove around the building because it took so long, thinking maybe there is another window I should be going to. They took my payment and closed the window. I had no idea if I was suppose to wait again or drive around possibly to another window to get my food. After waiting again, I decided to drive around. I then realized there isn't another window. I was very frustrated. I went back around to the drive thru, now there were 2 cars ahead of me. I told the person on the speaker what just happened. She told me I'll have to wait behind the 2 cars or they could bring my food out front to me. Well, for me to get my food out front I had to back out of the drive thru. I told them I'll back up to come to the front of their restaurant. That was fun. Luckily, there were not cars behind me. I was hoping someone would be waiting out front with my food but of course there wasn't. I walked inside to get my food. This was a very confusing, unorganized and stressful lunch. read more

Just ok. Not good not bad. Very little flavor. All the women came out of the back when we walked in. You could tell they were all gabbing and hanging out and us walking in made them work again.... Margarita was good. Nice that they had beer. They have more specials online but this location only posts specials # 1-4 on their menu board It was clean and food was ready decently fast. Came here around 4 pm on a Friday. Would definitely do the drive through next time. The Spanish mariachi music blasting over the speakers was extremely annoying eating here in person.... read more

I've been here enough times to where I could fill up one of their free burrito cards. I go to redeem it and they tell me that I can't get the burrito that I want even though there's no limitations listed on the card. Kind of feels like a bait and switch. Taco Tuesday! I wanted a quick taco meal and was driving by Señor Tacos. I was going to get their Tuesday special of street tacos. Both selections they offered were red meat so I ordered off the regular menu. One grilled chicken taco with a smear of guacamole. They were fairly busy. My order came up in no time. Loads of chopped chicken and guacamole on top. There is a salsa bar with salsa, lemons, grilled peppers and onions to dress up the taco. It was filling and a good stop when you're hungry. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, it was dead. Asked the cashier for suggestions on things, he didn't have any. Wanted a side salad without meat or anything, he said it'd be $10! Pass. Opted for 2 burritos, they were just ok. Absolutely nothing special. Had to ask for our soft drink cups (he didn't hand them to us) and silverware? We'd never been here, which should have been obvious to him based on our puzzled questions about things, but he offered nothing. Def. need some TRAINING here. Wouldn't return to dine in again, just to-go if we're in the area. It's kind of a hidden location, tucked back in a corner. This is becoming a Sunday lunch regular - fish tacos $2 Margaritas! Best deal in north Scottsdale! Then there's the weekly regular order of carne asada street tacos when running errands. I mean it's right next to Sprouts. How convenient! Keeps me from being hungry before grocery shopping. And these tacos are the perfect size for a quick bite in between stops. Just get too! There's so much meat in them one more and you'll be stuffed and ready for a nap. If I'm headed straight home I'll get a carne asada burrito. Perfect for lunch and dinner because I'll cut it in half and save some. But when I dine in, I like to try some thing that isn't so behind the wheel friendly, like the carne asada french fries. I have only ever gotten the Surf and Turf, California Surfin Burrito, and the Surf and Turf Fries and let me say they are all amazing. No place comes close to the amount of flavor. Every item I've gotten from here has come out fresh and hot. The service is also good. I haven't eaten inside here, just drive thru, so I don't have much to say for the ambiance. Do yourself a favor and check out the seafood here. We are regulars at this place because their portions are incredibly generous for the price point. Some notable items are the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, shrimp burrito, and shrimp quesadilla. Each shrimp taco has at least 5-6 shrimp, the burrito has 10+ shrimp, and the quesadilla probably has 12+ shrimp. And these are large shrimp we're talking about! They are plump, juicy, and fresh. I have never seen shrimp cooked this well at a fast food place before. The flavor reminds me of shrimp scampi. In fact, this place cooks their seafood better than many sit-down establishments I've been to. The quesadilla comes with 2 quesadillas - enough to feed 2 people. The tortilla is grilled so well with a great buttery / cheesy flavor on the exterior. The side salad was fresh too. read more

Vey large street tacos - need to order those regular sized ones that are nearly three times the price! We tried the al pastor and the carne asada. Both were very good - tasty meats and sauces and freshly made - we had to wait about 10 minutes for our order and basically we walked in and no one was there but two were waiting for orders and a couple came in after us. The condiment bar is a nice touch. Delicous sauteed onions with whole serranos, hot pickled carrots, fresh lime wedges and four sauces (mild, green mediuim, diablo and hot chili oil. We're here a lot. Their burritos are really very good, as is their fish taco. That said, I want to give a shout out to Gladys who works here. She is great...always smiling and friendly. Senor taco express has smaller menu than their regular senor taco locations. The ingredients are fresh. Portions are plenty and prices are very reasonable. Tacos are amazingly delicious. I had been to the Senor Taco on 87 th st. really enjoyed it and rated their Breakfast burrito best in Scottsdale. This location at Scottsdale rd. & Pinnacle has a very nice interior and seating. I had the protein bowl with rice, beans, sour cream, salsas and ALOT of shrimp-they did not skimp on the tasty, plump shrimps! Service was excellent and fast. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center lot and they have a drive thru. Highly recommended for quality Mexican fare, large portions, at fair prices. read more

This is by far the top fast food Mexican restaurants around! The hash brown breakfast burrito is delicious and so unique. Lots of flavor and solid amounts of each ingredient, none overpowers the rest (I hate when a breakfast burrito is all egg and this is not the case here!) The use of actual hash browns brings a fantastic crunch. For lunch/dinner, my fave is the Philly cheese steak burrito which is exactly what it sounds like! Word of warning... the PAPER the hard taco was wrapped in was not moisture resistant at all. Found this while looking for food as we drove into Scottsdale and were not disappointed. Very clean and inviting. The staff was cheerful and helpful. They have an outdoor seating area that provided mist from above so we weren't too hot eating outside in the afternoon. The food was was good. The Vegetarian Bowl was delicious but I would have preferred a crisper lettuce. We also ordered the Carnitas Burrito which was really tasty. Overall a great stop for an "Express" type of restaurant. read more

I give this place all the stars. It is well-deserved mostly because of this staff. Some fast food places could care less to have happy patrons or not, but this place it's all set for a proper sit down a 5 star service. The girls at the counter were most attentive. This location is good in a pinch.. like when you "have to have a taco" day, however 6 out of the 12 tacos fell apart. The bottoms were soggy and they fell apart. The taste is a 4 out of 5, just eat them immediately, because they do not travel well. read more

Wait time aside, the food is good and in fairly decent proportions. Will I be back, yeah, probably. My advice to you is to either come before or after the lunch hour, and be ready to wait for a bit.
