This place is actually pretty good. It's a generic kind of Mexican experience. Similar to others you may have seen around (Chipotle), but much better. The staff at the Edison location is always great and very nice and the location is extremely clean with ample seating. You can even easily find a seat during the lunch hours. The menu is diverse and has something for everyone. They also have an app and a rewards program. At times we also receive coupons via snail mail, which always entices us to make a quick visit. They do not shy away from overloading the salads, bowls and burritos. Most of the time I can eat half my salad and keep the rest for later. The taste is always good and consistent

This rating isn't to the company as a whole, just this specific location. While my family & I love food from Qdoba, the food we got from here was terrible. When I came to pick up my order an hour before closing, the door was locked & the lights were off. I stood at the front door for 5 mins while the workers (2 guys & 1 girl) inside just stood there and ignored me. I literally had to wave my phone with the app open to get them to understand that I was only there to pick up an order I had already paid for. Once I got home to eat, the food was awful and looked like it had been made with whatever was left from the day. While I under the food industry isn't the most glamorous to work for because I've been there, each customer should be treated with the same respect from opening to closing. What's upsetting about this is that 1 of the workers seemed to be a manager because his shirt was a different color. It's been a while since I've left a bad review, but if you can avoid this location, Qdoba has some great ones out there. This is the closest to where I live & sadly this wasn't one or them.

Quick bite to eat before our movie. Service was quick. Just choose what you want from behind the glass to be stuffed into your choice of wheat or white tortilla. Brown or white rice to start. Black or white beans. Choice of meats include steak, chicken, pork (some are pulled or chunks). Basic veggies from corn, tomato, lettuce etc. Sauces are hot, medium or mild. Verde is my favorite. Toppings of cheese, sour cream or guacamole (extra charge for guac). Chips and guacamole are a must. Staff is super nice and accommodating. Dining area is usually clean. Large selection of drinks at soda fountain. Lemons, hot sauce at the condiments bar. Simple, easy, non fried food priced reasonable. Look for coupons. Be friendly with a smile, and you may get a double scoop of chips.

    Chicken Bowl

I went around lunchtime for a chicken bowl with chips and queso to go. Worker there was very kind and patient while I decided what I wanted. He was also generous with the portions which I appreciated (chipotle be skimping). Quality of the food was also surprisingly good if not better and tastier than chipotle's.. chips weren't too salty, queso was delicious, and i liked how tender the chicken was without it being greasy... Qdoba definitely made it to my list of eats now.

I usually like qdoba and their employees but today I encountered a super rude employees over the phone. 10 Mins ago I called to make sure that they're closed because their signs said open but a smaller sign on the door said closed due to health department's order. The employee who answered the phone said in a rude tone "I don't know if you saw the news but there's E. coli. There's poop in the water and we don't want to get sued." I said, well your plastic order online sign is still out, just letting you know. She cut me off rudely "nope we're closed." The content is fine but I have a problem with her tone. Am I bothering them for calling and asking a question??? Attached is a picture of the storefront as this conversation is happening.

We made reservations but waited 10 minutes to be seated. It was very crowded. Prices are reasonable. Now some negatives: I didn't care for where we were seated. We were 3 people and they made a table for us upstairs in what looked like their party room. There was a table of teenage girls there for their birthday. I wanted to be in the main dining room. Also there was a DOG at the table next to us and it was not a service dog!!! If I come back I will suggest downstairs.. also to smuggle a dog into a restaurant is completely unacceptable. She whipped the dog out of her pocketbook as though she had been hiding it all night. I am HIGHLY ALLERGIC. (sidenote the dog was adorable and well behaved, but should not have been in a restaurant on a Saturday night. ) Service was very slow. It took a while for water refills and drink orders. Now onto the food: the street corn was delicious but small. Plantains were good. I also had a mango frozen margarita. (at least I think it was a frozen margarita. It came in a martini glass while everyone else had a margarita glass so I have a problem with that as well. Margaritas belong in a margarita glass ). It was good. The steak and cheese taco was also good. And the tres leches was good.

It's a curse because everything is so effing delicious and it's so far from my home! One of my daughters recommended Taco Empreso as she is a regular customer. She even spotted my nephew eating here one evening, who came all the way from Brooklyn lol. So there were three of us, who ordered an assortment of items to share. Let's start with the tacos... We ordered the Baja shrimp, Baja fish, steak, birria, asado chicken and shrimp Ensenada. Every single taco was finger licking with distinct flavors that were sooo sooo good. I could not decide on a favorite. We also shared birria fries, which were AWESOME! If I ever return... you know the rest lol. The meat was juicy, flavorful and melted in my mouth. The marinaded chicken and beef were succulent and the flavors subtly stood out. We also ordered a steak burrito, which was Cali-style with fries instead of rice. The steak was flavored, tender, and crave-able. A popular must have! We added a birria quesadilla, which was also epic. Lastly, the frozen pina coladas! Get it! The food is road trip worthy! Finally, there was a consistent line, but these dudes were so organized. The orders were getting out in a timely manner. It's also worth the wait!!!

I got the coconut lemonade and it's the best of both worlds of lemonade with pina colada vibe. My friend got the tropical fizz which was flavorful as well. For tacos we got birria, butter chicken, asada, grilled chicken, and Nashville hot chicken, and el pastor. Think the ones we enjoyed the most collectively was butter chicken, grilled chicken and asada. The sauces have a spice level to them which elevate the tacos. Guac and chips were okay a tad bland for me. The esquite corn was yummy side. It's self service where you order tacos either at register or from screen. When your name is called you pick up the food. The tables are limited. I would definitely go back to try some different tacos and for those delicious mocktails.

You definitely have to circle around a few times to get a spot. When we went on a Tuesday night as a group of 3, although it was busy inside, we were seated immediately. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. Tuesdays are half off on tacos so I decided to order 4 tacos: the chicken tinga, al pastor, chorizo and potato, and the carne asada. I wanted to get 4 different tacos that I've never tried before and this was the perfect option since it was half off. This was an amazing idea because the portion size was huge and everything was so good. I was surprised by how much I liked the chorizo and potato taco because I don't usually get chorizo but I will definitely get it again.
