I love this place. About the 2nd time that I've gotten their dollar tacos on a Tuesday. Fresh and delicious. I placed an order for pickup and my order was ready promptly. Very nice and pleasant customer service. Easy check out. I ordered some al pastor and some grilled chicken--came with hot sauce on the side...seems homemade -red and green. I could not pass by the birria quesadillas without trying one. Let's just say, it did not make it home. It was warm, fresh, crispy... AMAZING. I also order a large Jamaica which I found to be perfectly sweet and balanced. The place is pretty small and parking is a bit of an issue... but maybe looking for it further down the street won't be too bad of a walk. I love the tacos at Galeos! The steak tacos are to die for, always flavorful and satisfying. That being said, the restaurant itself is pretty small, so I'd recommend going for pickup instead of dining in. Also, whenever I've ordered delivery, my food has arrived cold and they've forgotten the sauces, which is a bit disappointing. Randomly stopped here to get tacos. Got the 20 taco platter for $30 because it was a great value. The option is only chicken or beef so we got chicken. It comes with onions and cilantro on top and they give limes, radishes, and grilled onions. The chicken is seasoned well. Normally you don't need anything besides lime but their sauces are also good and add spice. Especially their salsa verde. The tortillas are also fresh. Overall, really good value. I also got the agua fresca de mango, and i really liked it. I don't know if we went on a wrong day but it was really hot. Their AC was not working or they did not turn it on. Never been. Drove past and decided to stop in for some tacos. Very small place inside. The young lady at the counter was very helpful very cheery recommended everything. I ended up taking a burrito to go. It came very fast but the price was a bit much for the size I think....personal opinion. I'm not a fan of Mexican rice with vegetables in it but they were there. Over all the rice didn't have much flavor. The beans not much flavor. The al pastor had a little flavor but I've had many better. It came with a chopped bit of lettuce as garnish. Highly unnecessary for hot takeout because it wilted by the time I got home. Overall the food was average and slightly high priced. Tried Gaelos on a whim and was seriously impressed. It's a small neighborhood spot, but don't let that fool you--the birria burrito and birria ramen were incredible. TLDR: Decent Mexican spot that's slightly pricey for what it is. I would order the quesabirria again. We ordered the beef quesabirria with consome and carne asada fries for takeout. The quesabirria, which remained hot and crisp after a short ride, was filled with tender shredded beef and melted cheese. Paired with the consome, it was a delight to eat. The fries are your standard cafeteria issue loaded with toppings. While the toppings are generous, these fries don't hold out well under them. TLDR- amazing rice and beans, refreshing drinks, filling portions, fresh warm tortillas!!, find street parking I came here for lunch with a few friends after church and the place was quite busy and the staff was welcoming. There's only room for about 5 cars in their small parking area, but you can easily find street parking a few steps from the restaurant. Inside it got a bit warm since the AC didn't seem to be on so the door was kept open to allow for a cooling breeze. Starters: I love it when Mexican places have complimentary chips and salsa and this place had my favorite kind of freshly fried tortilla chips with a trio of salsas. The salsas were all really fresh and had a range of mild to medium spiciness Main meal: I got the Chivo platter and it was my first time trying goat as well. I was amazed by how good the rice and beans were. There were just perfectly seasoned and went so well with the goat. The platter also came with warm freshly made tortillas. Half the time I wrapped up a bit of rice, beans, goat and salsa from the chips into the tortilla and the rest of the time I just ate the components straight up. Since the platter was so big I had enough leftovers for a second meal! Drink: The cucumber lime drink was sooo gooood! It's such a refreshing blend of blended cucumbers, lime and some sugar I believe. I think I might stop by again just to pick up a drink to go. I'm definitely gonna be coming back! Now that they have their own place I couldn't be happier. Even though it's pretty small establishment, it's very cozy & huge on flavor. My go-to orders are the Chicken Flautas with extra toppings, chicken or beef birria & their Nachos de Chorizo. I'm extremely happy that I found this place. I just moved into the neighborhood from New York City and I've been exploring local spots in the area. I must say this is now in my top 2 if not number 1. I'm writing this review 30 minutes after placing a walk in to go order. I'll will be returning for sure. I had the beef birria tacos with the side dipping sauce combo my wife had the chicken one. They were both beyond excellent! Looking forward to trying out other items off the menu. The place also looks like a nice date spot. It's small I assume they are busy during the weekends. I would call ahead of you plan to dine in. Outside seating is available but also small. I saw one person saying they're pricey I respectfully disagree with assessment.
