Beef Burrito with charred tough and gross beef.

Just awful. I ordered the beef burrito and is was terrible. The meat was so over cooked it was black, tough and it tasted like it was a little rancid so I didn't eat it. I ordered a side of rice and beans which was decent so I ate that for dinner

I must've passed by this little restaurant on the main street by the Edison train station so many times without paying much attention to it, so I decided to give it a try! It has *surprisingly* good food at good prices with reasonable portions. I didn't expect much when walking in, but the after tasting their steak quesadillas, platillo amado, and tostada (and I REALLY like their tamale!), I changed my mind for the better. It may not be the best Mexican food esp. compared to New Brunswick fares but it still offers a decent dishes from south of the border!

Ordered to go, no dining in due to pandemic: 1 tamale de Puerco/pork tamale, $1.50, dry, bland 1 beef sope, $2.50, ok 1 fajita de pollo/chicken fajita, $10.00, good, soupy black beans 1 guacamole, $5.00, fresh, chunky, big portion, good chips Would only recommend the fajita & guacamole

This store is pretty big on the inside, considering how small it looks from the outside. It's decorated and everyone there is nice. I ordered a chorizo burrito (in picture) which was really good. It had chorizo, rice and beans and lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes and cotija. It can to be $8, so as with everything there was a price increase as it used to be $5. They're still filling and thankfully did not go down in quality or quantity. I also ordered horchata which was delicious. Everything came out very quick and the all the workers were nice.

The first couple of times I was here, the people were so unfriendly that I didn't even get anything. The first time, I was with my friend M and we wandered in on a break from a bike ride. The woman turned her back as we approached the counter, and didn't turn around even though I said "excuse me" a couple of times. So we left. It was pretty clear we weren't welcome! The second time I came by myself and the woman faced me, but was stone faced and cold, so I just asked a question and left. Today I decided to just get some tacos. They were ok, but kind of greasy. They were served on a styrofoam plate which was melted in a bubble pattern according to the tortilla on it. I think the food must've been too hot when they put it on the plate, or they should just use regular plates.

Horrible. if i could, i'd rate 1 star. i will never step foot here again, took too long, rude staff and disgusting food. i paid so much money for this food that didn't taste good, no meat, the meat that was there was boiled meat, chicken & steak. the burrito was all rice, a steak burrito not just a rice burrito. the burrito was also covered in lettuce and sauce. it was soggy. the tacos were soggy too. they were rapped in tin foil. we got a chicken & cheese quesadilla and it only had chicken. by the name of this restaurant you'd think that would be authentic Mexican food which is what we wanted but no all we got was soggy food that didn't taste like anything it tasted like no flavors at all. don't go here. customer service wasn't helpful at all. we got no refund.

I like Crazy Burrito. I usually do takeout and have rarely been disappointed. My order is always ready when I get there. Cashier is always friendly. I really like their flan & the green sauce they use is delish. I've eaten in only twice but each time we were promptly taken care of and portions were great for price.

This restaurant is definitely a great place to find authentic Mexican cuisine in an area filled with fast food Mexican food. If you are looking to find tacos or burritos that come from a value meal, you are at the wrong place. Crazy Burrito is definitely a diamond in the rough as it is a small restaurant and can be easily passed on the road. Once, you're in the restaurant you may be wondering, what happened to the ambiance or decoration? You may even take a step towards the door to leave. As they say, looks can be deceiving. Forget the bourgeoise restaurant type atmosphere and lack of decorations. You are there for one thing and one thing alone. Good food. Period. They have a friendly staff, but may be hard to understand as their primary language is Spanish. The menu is great as it is easy to read and provides many choices to choose from. Besides having a huge menu, the prices are right. Good Food + Affordable Prices = Happy Customer. You order your food at the counter, but food will be served to you at your table. You start off with tortilla chips with two different salsas. From what my palette can ascertain the first salsa was made with jalapenos and tomatillos with the second being a more common salsa with tomatoes, jalapenos, onions and other spices. Both salsas were made fresh and definitely had a nice zip to it. My appetizer consisted of a chorizo sopes, which is made of corn that is grounded and fried to form a plate or a base with the chorizo on top with lettuce, tomatos, onions, crumbling cheese and sour cream. Definitely delicious with an asking price of only $2.99. My main course was a bistec encebollado (steak with onions). I've had this dish made at costa rican and cuban restaurants before and this definitely is up there on my list of best bistec's. The flavor hit my memory banks of food I've had close to the border in El Paso, Texas. The portion size was huge and included a side of flavored rice, black beans, warm corn tortillas and a salad. The main had an asking price of about $9. Overall, this restaurant is great to have lunch or dinner. The food is very filling and met all my expectations of what Mexican cuisine should taste like.

It was hard to enjoy our food while grown adults were being rude to quiet teenagers because they did not want them to sit. The time was 11:30 pm The food was exceptional. The steak quesadilla was perfectly crisp on the outside, with tender, flavorful meat and melted cheese that made every bite indulgent. It's the kind of dish that reminds you why you love food...simple ingredients elevated with skill and pride. The only downside had nothing to do with the restaurant itself. A group of customers were hoarding chairs and behaving rudely toward teenagers who simply wanted a place to sit. It made it difficult to enjoy our meal while grown adults were pointing, laughing, and creating an uncomfortable environment. After a long day, I wasn't going to allow anyone to make my children feel unwelcome, so I spoke up. Despite that, Taco Empreso delivered an outstanding culinary experience. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all truly impressive -- a 10/10 visit, and absolutely worth the detour.

Even the employees wear white uniforms and white chef hats. Originally, I was confined this restaurant was going to be a cheap knock-off. Ordering is done through an in-store kiosk. Although I was skeptical using the computer screen, I found it easy to navigate and was able to fulfill my lunch order without requesting any assistance. The meal took a few minutes to arrive, but that was because the servers were freshly making it on the spot. I started to get a good feeling as I witnessed the chefs in action. As soon as I took my first bite, I realized I was mistaken about my initial impression. All tacos are prepared with fresh ingredients with a smoky flavor. The shells are soft and doughy. Juices from the protein slightly compromised the appearance, but the taste is fantastic! There is a salsa bar offering complimentary toppings for your tacos. Limes, pickled onions, and three flavors of salsa are an option. The seating is kind of tight, but it's meant to be eaten in a fast paced atmosphere. Overall, I didn't think I was going to have a great experience, but this location surpassed my expectations by a long shot. It is really delicious and they offer a generous sized cup for $9. Highly recommend trying the Horchata! The ground beef one was most flavorful and my favorite, followed by the spicy chorizo. Onions and parsley are included on top as garnish, but pico de gallo, guacamole, and other toppings are an extra $1 each. There is also plenty of seating and extremely friendly employees working there. You can only get taco platters with all the same taco meat, not a variety. The enchiladas are also only 1 way for all three on the plate. Whatever...I can deal with that, if the food was great. As a side note, this was a grown woman waiting on us, like an abuela, not a teenager.
