If there were half stars, I'd give this place a 3.5. The tacos were pretty good, but I'm from California so I have pretty high standards when it comes to Mexican food. I will definitely be going back and it is better than some of the other Mexican places I've been to in NJ. read more

Most authentic mexican food since I've had in cali. The goat tacos are really good but misleading since on the menu it shows two tacos and you actually get one.. The corn tamale is soo good with their homemade sour cream. Defintly get it read more

Awesome burritos and fast and friendly service. The establishment is very clean and nicely decorated. The food portions are very generous. I ordered fries on the side, but could not finish them because I was stuffed with the burrito. I will definitely come again next time I am in the area. read more

If you want salsa made with water and pickle juice with cilantro that was not diced at all...go here!! If you want to place an order and them give you their version tacos go here!! If you want Mexican food from North Dakota als go here!! If you want to get excited for TexMex and be heavily let down go here!! It's terrible and should not be open. read more

Complete Disappointment... The quality of food has been gradually decreasing to a point where i would never set foot here again. There was a time I was in love with this place but lately its been nothing but disappointing. Wish they up their game again... read more

Great authentic Mexican food. The burrito was very filling. The prices are very cheap. I would take this over any chipolte any day. I suggest you try this place you would not be disappointed. read more

Family owned and friendly with true Mexican great food. Lots of options in the menu to choose from. I alway enjoy the freshly squeezed OJ the do in the spot. read more

Crazy Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Edison, New Jersey

This was awful. Zero seasoning on the chicken in anything. The pork tacos were also bland. I specifically asked for no queso fresco, or anything, on top of the burrito and yep- all the things all over it. The people there speak very little English, so if you speak Spanish and like tasteless food this place is all yours. read more

Great food for great price. Everything was very tasty and portions were generous. The only thing I wish they had was more of kids menu. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing! read more

All these negative reviews have to do with delivery and I feel this restaurant is not being appreciated for the food which is where they really shine. Oh and the decor. It's 100%. I recommend eating in or picking up (pro: you are often undercharged on p/u orders.) read more

Ordered a burrito and all they stuff it is rice without barely any meat, very skimpy on beef or chicken

First of all, there were several chicken bones in the tamales. Just unacceptable. All in all, the rest of the food (burrito and enchiladas) lacked seasoning and overall flavor. Couldn't even finish eating it. Pretty disappointed and won't be returning. read more

This place has very nice food The three stars is for the bill. My husband and I are vegetarians and wanted to make substitutions to the El Crazy Burrito ( or some such platter) which was prizzed at 9:50. After trying for some time and realizing that we were making no sense to the waitress ( our bad should have brushed up no basic spanish) we ordered the vegie buritto (4:50) and asked that they add rice, beans and guacomole. We got our burritos sans the guacomole. Rather than explain ourseleves again we decided it was fine and ate the food as it was. When the bill arrived we had been charged for the El Crazy Buritto. 5 dollars for rice and beans does not seem very fair. The inability to communicate at all makes for a rather inconsistent dining experience. Though to be fair when we ordered off the menu the food is very good. read more

Same situation like what another reviewer described. I ordered for delivery and almost an hour later the guy calls to confirm the address cause he was lost. I'm waiting for him outside my apartment and they never showed up. I'm calling the guy, he's not picking up, I'm calling the restaurant, they say they'll call the guy too. An hour and a half later I call the restaurant, they say they were outside my apartment waiting for 10 minutes and that they called me but I didn't pick up. Almost 2 hours wasted, these people are liars and clearly don't know how to run a business. Their food is not even that good (decided to order from here cause El Mexicano on Rt1, which I used to like has new owners and now their food sucks). These people are really dumb, they serve authentic Mexican food and they name their restaurant Crazy Burrito. Initially, I honestly thought this was more like an Americanized Mexican food place like Chipotle or Taco Bell. read more

My boyfriend has been talking about this place for years, but I never had any real reason to go. I tried it today since we were at Gharana across the street to pick up chakri. While the place won't win any awards for ambiance, the food is surprisingly good and cheap. This is what authentic Mexican food is all about; definitely worth trying if you're in the area. I've been told that there's parking in the back that has a way out directly to rt. 27 to avoid the crazy traffic at the front. read more

I really wanted to try this place since they've had good reviews here. They had delivery service so I gave them a call today. The girl that picked up the phone spoke very limited English and it was a struggle to place the order over the phone, not to mention, getting them to understand what my address was. After painstakingly placing the order over the phone, the girl said to wait 40 minutes for the delivery. 45 minutes later, another guy called to confirm the address and I explained exactly how to get to my apartment complex - in detail (the guy actually spoke fluent English). An hour and a half later, I called to follow up on the delivery and the girl said the delivery guy doesn't know what my address was but I told her that someone just called me before to confirm the address. She said they don't know what my address was and hung up. I called the other number from where the guy called (the one that confirmed my address) and he said the delivery guy came but didn't know what my address was. I asked how that was possible when I provided detailed information on where I was located and I was outside of my building specifically to wait for the delivery. His response was that he was not the one in charge and that it's up to the delivery guy if he wants to come back. So I asked, are they going to redeliver or are they going to just pretend I never ordered and was not even going to call me back to let me know what was going on. Guy on the other line said he doesn't know and that it was me that needs to talk to the driver. WTF?!?!?!? Regardless of how good or cheap the food is, if a business is being run by idiots like these, I would rather stay away. F this place. Two hours of waiting, no food and horrible, non-existent customer service. read more

Just moved here from Arizona. That being said my favorite food has always been Mexican food. Being in jersey has been hard on my stomach bcuz I have to find a place that is Just as good as tacos Los altos in az. But I had the carne asada taco- if u have had home made or went to a ranch market n az u would totally taste the difference!!!!!! Mine seriously taste like mutton(sheep meat) didn't taste like anything I have had before. My husband had the crazy burrito plate and he wasn't sure what any of it was and he lady said there was chorizo in it...he couldn't taste it or figure out what it was!!! Chorizo is not a sausage!!! Then the last thing I tried was the horchata (my favorite drink since I was a little girl) it was ok very watery not a lot of heart out into it. Maybe it's bcuz I grew up in a very Mexican environment idk but I promise if u were to ever visit Mexico or ARIZONA California or any border states try their Mexican food and I promise you, you will fall into a food coma!! I would cook my own food but my in laws R Hindu so I'm still looking for some good Mexican food!! read more

This is a no-frills restaurant/grocery store that serves Mexican food. It was mostly empty except for 2 other diners. We were the only gringos there! My Carne Asada was very tasty although the steak was too well-done and a too chewy for my preference. My son's Cuban Sandwich was delicious. My husband and my older son both liked their selection as well. This was an inexpensive dinner at $31 for 4. We probably could have done it under $30 if I had ordered the burrito instead of the Carne Asada. We'll be back to try other dishes. read more

Got take out. The food was very good! Enjoyed the tacos beef and chicken, tamales and guacamole. Great prices

The place is clean and neat. Friendly staff, and the food is yummy. Recommend it to anyone on budget and looking for a yummy lunch or dinner. read more

Been here twice. Was excited both times. First time I had one of my favourite Mexican dishes Chilaquiles (not sure if I spelt right). Second time was a mix of steak, chicken, beans etc. Each item was great. This is a place where the Mexican laborers go among others so I was sure it would be serve great food and I was right. Didn't expect great service but it wasn't bad. Honest, good Mexican food. On my Edison picks for sure. (OF COURSE NOTHING GREATER THAN HAROLD'S DELI in the neighborhood) read more

Avoid. Been there twice. Had to stand at counter and wait for the waitress for a very long time when I first arrived and when I tried to pay both times. The food was unedible. Tasted as if the ingredients had somehow lost all flavor. People who seemed to know the staff came in, cranked the juke box to maximum (the restaurant was otherwise empty) and had a little afternoon party. So, bad food, horrible service, didn't feel welcome. read more

OMG! The food is soooo tasty! Salsa is fresh and perfectly balanced. Mole sauce is just the right amount of spice un the flavoring. Even the beans and rice are delicious. Highly recommend this place. read more

Good portions...will def go back to try the other options on the menu...

Disappointed with my last visit. Ordered a burrito, carne asada, and there were exactly four small strips of beef! I have had it before and knew what to expect and bearing in mind beef is pricey I was not expecting a huge amount. BUT 4 strips? I got mine to go and was at home when I realized how bad it was. Definitely not returning. read more
