My boyfriend and I were craving tacos and decided to check out Taco House! I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious and filling the tacos were. We called to place an order for pickup and it was ready within 15 min. When you order taco, you have the choice of which vegetables (onions, lettuce, cilantro, etc) you want included. They also come with two sauces -- the red sauce has a decent kick to it! The tacos were simple and full of fresh ingredients and the chicken was cooked well. The nachos were average but unfortunately, not as good as they looked in the picture on their website. The nachos chips were very crispy but the other ingredients and veggies the nachos came with didn't add much flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their tacos!! (I would not get the nachos again)

I stop by whenever I get my bike worked on at Kim's Bike Shop right next door; but I have gone out of my way to eat here before too! It reminds me of the tacos I've gotten in Mexico while on Missions Trips:--the hole-in-the-wall stalls manned by a single grandma that makes the tortillas by hand and walks 6 miles to and from the local butcher shop to procure the best cuts of meat (uphill both ways). But it really does stink of authenticity--as best as my privileged middle-class Asian palate can tell. I recommend the Al Pastor, Tripe and Lengua. Don't ask what it is; just try it. Al Pastor has pineapples: so a nice blend of sweet and savory. The tripe has a crispiness to it that I love. This is one of those places that I have a sneaky suspicion they charge me more because I don't speak Spanish; but I am happy to pay because it is so dang good!

Stopped by here with a friend on our way home from a church event and Taco House did not disappoint! We came around 10pm, and while the area is a bit seedy at that time of night (we were warned by some local guys sitting out in the street to be careful), we made it out unscathed. I am sure it's a much different environment during the day, but just wanted to give fair warning to those thinking to visit at night. Now onto the food. It was delicious and authentic. The tacos al pastor were so yummy with the chopped up pineapple mixed in and my friend enjoyed his steak burrito. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The salsas are on point and word to the wise, listen to the waitress when she tells you the red one is really hot, because it really and truly is! Definitely recommend!

The best taqueria in New Brunswick! Finally, after much searching for the best taco in the area, Taco House is the answer. The best part is that they are served as singles, so you can try multiple flavors! Recently opened, you'll find Taco House on French St. off of 27. It's a brightly colored, tiny shack that churns out delicious and authentic tacos in lightning fast speed. If driving isn't your thing, they even deliver. The tacos here are served DF (Mexico City) style, and are around $2 each. They come in a freshly made corn tortilla, cilantro, onions, and chile de arbol or jalapeno salsa on the side. The best taco I've had there is their al pastor, marinated pork with pineapple. They have plenty of taco choices as well as tortas, quesadillas, and more. Check them out!

So While with my son at the hospital I used yelp and based off the reviews thought I'd give this place a shot. I usually live and die by Yelp and for the most part The ratings are pretty accurate. UNTIL this debacle! I don't know if the people who rated this place 4 or 5 stars know the owners and are being nice or never actually ate tacos before. Where do I begin - let's start with ordering "ground beef tacos" consist of sliced beef and cilantro with zero flavor. Then I tried the Chicken Quesadilla And what did I get grilled chicken and mozzarella cheese that seemed old. See photo - in my hand is the contents of the inside of the quesadilla mind you I literally got this 15 minutes prior to the photo. Next up - Chicken Nachos - at this point you can guess - terrible. Chips stale and main ingredient was lettuce lol - college kids some advice instead of wasting your money here - take some Tostitos and shredded cheese and throw it in the microwave - it will win awards compared to this place! The one thing they did get right was sending me extra hot sauce which came in two levels: Green - way to mild and Red - Hotter than hell I don't know if this is suppose to be some version on yuppie college kid Mexican but by far the worst I have ever had!

Came here last weekend and I thought it was pretty good! I got the chorizo, which was delicious but a tad too spicy. I also got the al pastor, which was super dry and I had to add a lot of salsa verde. I got the $9/3 tacos deal which I thought was worthwhile! They also have guac and horchata which isn't listed on the menu. Horchata was ok, but the guac was odd. It was more pico de gallo with some chunks of avocado. The chips that came it were really good though. Would totally come back.

Wow, I love the Taco place I go to now, but this place is in another world. Each tortillas is had made, light and flakey. The bar-b-que beef was far and away the best taco I have ever had in my life. I work with Spanish people, and am exposed to a lot of Spanish food, but nothing has ever matched the tacos here. They have Tripe and lingua (Tongue) for the more daring. I don't like food to hot, but this was at my limit and not over. The hot is not just peppers added, it is cooked in and leaves you with a smooth heat. The place is new, a family owned, , no menus or printed hours yet, but tons of charm, and let's face it, Tacos are easy to figure out. Ha ha I just realized I am the only native English speaker in a standing room only place. I heard they deliver, no credit cards yet. This place will redefine what a Taco is for us Gringos. Amazing place. Give it a try. J

So i ordered tacos from this place on sept,10,2021 around 11 pm. Came home open it up and noticed that there was a roach on my taco, not inside but on top of my taco. I've ordered from this place before and nothing like this has ever happened. By far the worst experience i've ever had at any place. Also i don't think i was charged the accurate price but idk.

I was craving Mexican and I am so glad I came here. The el pastor tacos are the best, we ordered 2 orders. You get 3 for $7. It's on a soft tortilla, filled with meat and pineapples, topped with cilantro. They give you limes and radishes on the side. The 3 hot sauce bottles are all spicy, but good. We ordered carnitas tacos, but they were too dry for me. I also got the beef nachos, and it was pretty big for $9. They piled the freshly fried tortilla chips with beef, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. Definitely get the horchata or Jamaica juice.

Another strong entry in the authentic Mexican food scene of New Brunswick. To the reviewer who questioned if this is "yuppie college kid Mexican" that's got to be the biggest misread I've ever seen. How anyone could come to that conclusion baffles me. The place: Very small (5 tables) on a section of French St. which isn't so great (bar across the street, liquor store round the corner plus car traffic gets heavy). Little to no English for staff, something to keep in mind for phone orders. I saw some complaints about orders done through Yelp and I'm quite surprised that they do online orders at all. Places like this are serving the local immigrant population so adjust your expectations. Also, help them out and use cash. The food: Menu shows they are much more of a taqueria than a full restaurant. Emphasis on Mexican appetizer/snack foods. The tacos themselves are good and they have more varieties of fillings than is common (marinated pig skin, pig ears or beef brains). So if you want to broaden your taco horizons this place will be for you. You can mix and match tacos but I'm not sure if you can on all. At $3 each they are on the more expensive end of the spectrum, but they deliver. Two interesting notes. They do not provide the seemingly universal free chips and salsa. I kind of like they aren't conceding to the American expectation of free chips and salsa (my understanding is that is not done in Mexico), even though other authentic restaurants like their's all do. Second thing is the name on the menu: "El Taconazo" which translates to "the heel" or "kick" or "heel stamping" but not to "taco house" which is typically called a "taqueria." If anyone can explain the name to me I'd be grateful. All and all, a good taco place to get a quick bite.

When Tacoria closes or you just want some authentic Mexican style tacos.... this is the place. Came here with a friend on a Wednesday, craving some tacos because I didn't get my fix on Tuesday... I ordered the most Amazing cabeza (beef head) and lengua (tongue) tacos... If your craving some late night this is definitely the spot.... quick friendly service... atmosphere is good enough to eat in, Neighborhood is a little sketch but it's okay. Probably would recommend eating there because the tacos are made fresh to order. There's a few other items on the menu, but I'll be back to follow up with more soon enough.

Went here for lunch today, absolutely fabulous. Super cheap, super fresh. The ladies working were so nice. I ordered 2 carnitas and 2 bistec. The bistec was a little fatty however nice. The carnitas were to die for! I would definitely go back and try them out. I got a side of guacamole and salsa verde. The salsa verde is a must, nice a spicy! I would go without the guacamole, 1$ extra and premade. All in all, I'll be back

First, staff is super -super nice!! helpful when trying to decide what to order. Mini Me and I both chose three tacos carne asada with the smokey roja sauce. Hubby had the same but as a burrito. For the sides we had chips and guacamole and the Mexican street corn. Drink were Horchata (Obviously). Tacos and burrito were stuffed, and absolutely delish. They have a self serve salsa bar with the three salsa, the smokey roja, salsa verde and habanero. Let me just say I tried all three- fantastic heat to flavour ration and I poured the habanero on my tacos so good! in fact the smokey roja with the salsa verde is a great combination !! Seating area outside is much larger than inside, we sat inside at a table that had just become available- they do a super brisk take out business and we didn't wait very long for our food to be ready. In fact, my husband and Mini-Me - all three of us, agreed we would for sure make the drive again to have tacos here!! If you are in the area or at school near by- you have to come here at least once, to try the food. I paid for my hubby since he was not my +1 and his meal was about $16. so that in itself is very very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We were very pleased with the food, service and price point.
