    "Chips" & queso

Wow. Seriously? This is $6 dollars for 1 scoop of chips and queso. I asked how much for an extra scoop since the bag is basically empty... and they said $3!? Save your money and go anywhere else. Update: didn't take my first attempt to update where there was a HAIR, so basically bought extra chips from gas station to throw queso/qdoba chips in trash

    Nearly vegetarian burrito

I come here often and I've been happy until today. I attached a photo with all the meat pulled aside on the top left of the photo. I dissected it as I noticed the lack of meat during its creation. Maybe she was new(haven't seen her before) maybe it's new management but I would prefer to have meat in my burrito.

Haven't been back here since pre covid. Seems like their portion sizes have dropped a lot. Ordered a bowl and wanted to try the new cauliflower mash. Honestly got like 1tablespoon full, which I paid almost 2$ extra for so I had to get rice with it. Had chicken for the protein and got like half a scoop. Had to ask for more fajita veggies cause there was very little put on. Hope they can get it to where it was. And more cauliflower mash for the extra you are paying. Chips and salsa is always good here. That's probably the only good thing that came out of this quick stop for lunch.

    Poorly rolled and smashed burrito

I would like to start by stating that the food is good and the girl Keisha at the register is the sweetest. However, I have had multiple irritating encounters with two of the staff members in particular. I'm a regular and every time I come in I try to explain how much of the toppings I want. Two staff members in particular are always rude, ignore you're requests and give you the sassiest attitude. Typically this wouldn't be such a big deal for me. If they had good attitudes and messed up my food I would just roll with the punches. For example, today at roughly 8-8:15pm I requested a burrito with both rice options. I specifically asked for half servings on each item so it would make one scoop together. The server there today did two heaping scoops of rice and beans. This may not seem like a big issue but it was when I got a side of attitude I didn't ask for. Then, when she rolled my burrito it wasn't rolled correctly and is leaking sides; not because the burrito was over stuffed but because she rushed it when only my partner and myself were in line. Then I asked her to double grill it, she acknowledged my statement. I noticed her taking the burrito out after one session in the griller, I kindly reminded her that I wanted it grilled again she made a snide remark and shoved it back into the griller and slammed the lid. This in conjunction with a poorly rolled burrito made for a sloppy meal. There is no excuse for having such poor customer service in a customer oriented environment. Frankly, I'm disappointed that the only consistency this store has is bad attitudes with the line servers. The other experience was with a female manager who's name I do not know unfortunately. This is why I rated this at one star. Otherwise the food is great and the store is always clean. P.S: this was located at the Abbott store in South Anchorage.

Two combos. Far left: two soft tacos with a quesadilla, the closer right: two soft tacos with nachos. YUM!!

I love love love this restaurant and the people who own it!…read more I remember when they started Meraki in Eagle River (which quickly became my family's daily destination) then the pandemic hit. Man I was so sad when they had to close their doors. After they had to shut their doors they pivoted and did door dash. Then they were sharing a restaurant with wing n things on boniface (which was weird and I'm sure it sucked to do it with those crazy ppl lol) But now they have a reopened their own restaurant on the south side! (Which sucks because its soooo far from me) But to watch this family, get back up, again, and again. All due to their integrity and commitment to make quality Greek food here in Alaska! Amazing place, and the Phoenix is best choice for your logo!

I would give this place more than five stars if possible!…read more I'm an absolute fiend for middle eastern and Mediterranean food. I grew up on gyros and when I travel, I often gravitate toward that style of cuisine. So when I say this is THE BEST chicken souvlaki I've ever had, I don't say it lightly. The chicken is extraordinarily tender and so well seasoned. The tzatziki is delicious. The sumac onion and lemon wedge are just the cherry on top. My personal preference would've been for a salad instead of fries for the platter ($26), but I also didn't ask for it, so that's on me. Dad had the spicy pork yerro ($19), and said it was "awesome." A combination of flavors you don't get often, and tasty to boot. We polished off the meal with the largest piece of baklava I've ever seen ($15). It sits in an orange blossom honey and is just as tasty as it looks. Dessert is definitely on the pricy side - we could've gotten outta there pretty reasonably without it. I'll be back to try more of the menu. Their dips look incredible and the halloumi yerro is on my must-have list. Service was decent but depended on the dining room and takeout situation since there's only one server. I loved the response I got when I called about their hours earlier. (The menu photos show a 7:30pm close while Yelp indicates 9:30.) The answer? 9-10 "depending on the meats." Hope these guys stick around because the food is incredible. Highly recommend!
