In authentic Korean cuisine, Kalbi strictly refers to short ribs (usually beef). However, what I was served was just cheap, thinly sliced beef(Bulgogi). The most frustrating part is that they actually have real, authentic Kalbi on another part of the same menu, which means management knows exactly what Kalbi is. And he try to explain and mislead me. They are intentionally playing word games, using the name "Kalbi" to describe the sweet soy marinade rather than the actual premium cut of meat, likely hoping customers won't know the difference. Using cheap meat substitutes under a premium name is highly misleading. If you are looking for real Kalbi, look closely at the menu or avoid this place.

I'll be back to try more of the menu. Their dips look incredible and the halloumi yerro is on my must-have list. Service was decent but depended on the dining room and takeout situation since there's only one server. I loved the response I got when I called about their hours earlier.
