I shipped 2 barrels in May from Toronto. As of November 20, 2025, I have received little to no response from Q-Trex regarding the location of the shipment. Communication has been extremely poor--phone calls go unanswered, and emails receive no reply. I am very concerned, as the items in the barrels are essential belongings for my elderly mother. Given the lack of updates and unprofessional behaviour, I would appreciate advice on whether I should contact the police or relevant authorities to investigate this matter. Thank you. read more

Q-Trex has taken advantage of my elderly father. He was contacted by this company with a "special offer" to ship barrels, and he decided to trust them with his shipment. In July 2025, they picked up two barrels, promising delivery to Guyana within 6-8 weeks. It is now November, and still nothing has arrived. My father is heartbroken and distressed. After I posted a review describing this terrible experience, I was contacted by email and threatened was told to "get Google to help me" and even to send my father to the Guyana office. But that office is locked up, with a "For Sale" sign on the building. The owner later claimed the barrels were sent to the wrong destination and that they would "try their best to reroute them." When I asked for proof, I was told, "We'll keep you informed." No proof was ever provided. Instead, I received a phone call saying I would be blacklisted as if we would ever use their services again. When I contacted them again today, the owner said, "Our lawyers have advised us not to talk to you. Go and put that on Google." How can a business treat people like this? Q-Trex appears to be a sinking organization, riddled with fake, bot-generated reviews designed to drown out the truth. It was a five start rating I gave on my Google review. I am back with my second review as used them for my second shipment to Jamaica. what a difference. I am still so bothered and angry about everything. from the lack of communication and transparency, the delays that ended up costing me thousands. .. In October of 2022 they told me it will take 4-6 to ship to Jamaica and its February and i can't get my goods. Family member used their service. My experience is the same of all other users on Facebook. A lot of theft of your shipped Goods to your loved ones ongoing throughout the years, and double charging, and being blindsided by erroneous costs in order to pick up the shipped goods when everything is supposed to be prepaid. One reviewer said over $1,000 in goods were lost/stolen by Qtrex. He told some customer that the people in the Caribbean are waiting for free shipments from family members and that he hopes that they choke and die on the items being sent my family members. This is the first time I used this company. The service is below par. Picking up the barrel and taking my money was ok. I paid for door to door service. First, I was told that the barrel would take about 6 weeks to arrive which would have been around the end of August. It's now November and the barrel is still not at the destination. After many phone calls, many of which were not answered and many of which were dropped, I finally spoke to someone. My relatives were finally contacted only to be told that that the barrel cannot be delivered to their address, they have to go somewhere else to pick it up. This would entail them having to rent a van to do the pick up after I paid for door delivery. This is NOT a company I would EVER be using again. read more

This is the worst experience I have had. On Aug 13Th they picked up my barel going to Pt Lisas to arrive by mid October.Today November 24Th it still has not arrive. When I i asked for compensation They referred me to ZIM shipping lines who I had no dealings with.I shipped another package one week later with another company and it has already been received. I shipped some items to Guyana with this firm and it was delivered to my family home in East Bank Demerara and there was nothing missing from the barrel. It was packed to the top when leaving Canada that it took 3 of us to close the barrel and put the seal on and when it was delivered it was the same. Geeta and her husband was very nice and the staff was wonderful. Although it was a busy time for them in the summer, I was given excellent service. I wish zero star was an option. I shipped a barrel w this company in 2012 and had the most horrible experience. Unfortunately my mom decided to give them a 2nd chance 3 years later and her experience seems to be worst. She spoke to a lady at the office in Montego Bay who was feisty enough to ask her 'if she had taken any money from her' as a response to my mom's complaint that they was no delay when it came time to get their payment. She sent her barrel 3 weeks before taking the trip and spent 3 weeks - leaving tomorrow and her barrel is still not ready. read more

Dont use this company. They lie and tell you 4 weeks. If your lucky it might be 6-8weeks for your barrels to arrive. The owner actually justifies his horrible service with the cheap prices and that her personally answers his phone! I think most people prefer to pay a bit more for guaranteed timelines and automated voicemail with less sarcasm. Just horrible service and customer service from Qtrex ! I had 2 barrels picked up November 12, 2016 that i payed $270 dollars for hoping that my family in St.Kitts would receive them for Christmas unfortunately they didn't get the barrels until December 31, 2016 ( Cargo Receipt #52109). I also had Qtrex picked up 2 barrels again on November 22,1016 that i payed $270 dollars for my family in St.Kitts (Cargo Receipt #44131) and they have not receive them as yet. Today is January 19th, 2017 ! After numerous calls, emails to the very rude and arrogant staff including the owner at Qtrex they keep saying the barrels are in St.Kitts which is and was a lie . My family keep checking and there is no barrels . After calling Tropical Canada Customer Service and giving them the STK12295897 i was told that the 2 barrels left Canada on January 11th, 2017 headed to Florida. Really Qtrex !!!!
