Went to this location with my niece for a kid mani/pedi, along with my own gel pedicure and gel manicure. I understand that not all salons service kids, which is completely fine--but if a location offers the service, I expect the experience to be thoughtful and age-appropriate. That wasn't the case here. My niece is 9 and was well-behaved, quietly watching videos on her phone or talking to me. Her service felt extremely rushed. The intention was for us to enjoy the experience together, but we were separated. It felt like they simply soaked her feet and painted her toes--no real care or attention. When it came to her manicure, they didn't trim her nails and barely filed them before painting. As for my services, for the gel pedicure my massage chair was broken and the water was cold, which was frustrating. My gel manicure also felt rushed--minimal cuticle care and overall just a push to get me out quickly. What made this more disappointing was that there were only two other customers in the salon and several employees present, many of whom seemed more focused on doing their own nails than servicing clients. I did not return and would not recommend this location. Also worth noting: parking in the area isn't great. Expect to find street parking one or two streets over. read more

I was visiting town for an event and, with a bit of extra time, decided to treat myself to a manicure--something I quickly came to regret. The entire appointment felt rushed and careless, and it was obvious he wasn't confident using the Dazzle Dry system. The whole point of that system is its quick-drying finish, but that advantage is completely lost when the polish is applied in thick, uneven globs. Not only did it take longer to dry, it looked unprofessional. Worse, he cut several of my cuticles far too close, and they're still not healed days later. That alone is unacceptable. On top of that, he didn't even bother cleaning the excess polish from around my cuticles, claiming it would "mess up the nail" and require starting over. That excuse doesn't hold up--careful, precise application should prevent that issue in the first place. It felt like he simply didn't care about the quality of his work or my experience. Overall, this was deeply disappointing. If I lived in Boston, I absolutely would not return. read more

Lorina is my girl now! I got blue chrome with glitter, and she absolutely nailed it. She was so patient and took her time removing my old gel, trimming my nails, and being super gentle with my cuticles. She also helped me pick the perfect shade and made sure I loved it every step of the way. The salon itself was very clean, which made the experience even better. I had a lash lift and tint that was amazing from them the first time. I returned to have the same service done again. They added collagen without telling me which added $50. Then the lift was AWFUL. I came out with tiny super curled lashes. My lashes are fairly long as is, but I wanted lift and no mascara for summer. I called and they allowed me to come in to get it fixed. The technician (Jenny) was 20 minutes late arriving. While fixing she said she'd give me a 50% refund. She was able to make the lashes look better, but not as good as my own lashes with mascara or the way she made it look the first time. Then when it came time to leave, I asked for my refund and she said oh no that is for next time you come you'll get half off. Well, I'm not coming back and so I wasted $150 for mediocre lashes. I made an appointment a few days in advance for a pedicure at 6:30 pm - they do close at 7 pm. I was able to come early around 6:15 but they were busy so didn't start my appointment until after 7. I don't think they should accept walk ins if they can't guarantee that they can take their patrons who have made an appointment. It's just not good practice. I made an appointment with Vivian, but ended up with whoever was available. My pedicure was very rushed. From start to finish, it took about 20 minutes. Since the nail tech messed up one of my nails during the rushed massage, she had to fix it and was bouncing between me and another client which really isn't hygienic.. Not happy with the way the polish was applied either. The staff is very nice, hence two stars but overall just a terrible experience and likely will not come back. read more

100% a 5-star experience. My nail tech was Thuy. Cleanliness: you can *feel* how clean this salon is when you walk in. Thuy, my nail tech, was also great about using sanitary techniques (gloves, etc.). Nails: I got a gel pedi and gel overlay, French tip manicure. I wanted a specific green, but the shop didn't have it. I opted for a navy blue that I really love. The shop really tried to find the right green I was looking for though -- I appreciated how hard they tried to accommodate my initial nail idea. Ambiance: I already mentioned it's clean, but I want to add that it's a wonderfully spacious shop. The shop folks offered me a water, which was nice too. There is definitely a friendly ambiance in this shop. Service: from the desk to my nail tech, I felt the employees were clear and checked that we were on the same page the entire time I was there. Came in an hour just before closing without an appointment and they were nice enough to take me. Did not make me feel rushed. I've been to other salons where they try to rush and take a lot of shortcuts so they can still leave on time. This salon is very clean and spacious. Hard to park in front but if you go to the parallel street- Cambridge Street (behind KFC), you'll find more 2 hour parking spaces. read more

(rating two visits) I made an appointment a couple hours before my appointment - the salon is very spacious, clean and modern. Hayes was very detail oriented and paid a lot of attention to my nails. She is also very amicable as a person. I got a natural dip color with short almond extensions. They lasted a good 3-ish weeks with no lifting! I came back this week and Ryan did my nails - I asked for a little shorter than last time just because I type a lot for school/work. I think they were the perfect length this time around. Also he used this natural color that turned out perfect in terms of the look I was going for. The top coat is uv gel because regular air dry top coats can take a long time - that step with both Hayes and Ryan did worked really really well and lasted a long time. read more

So far ... pretty great!!! I usually go to Boston Nails and Spa downtown, which I loveeeee. However, this place just opened up near my apartment, so I had to check it out. It's in walkable distance, so I saved both time and money commuting and parking. It's also brand new, so everything is so so so nice inside. Their pedicure chairs are amazing!!! The staff is also amazing ... very accommodating and genuine. They also have a lot of different colors in regular, dip, and gel. The technician I had, Tim, was super friendly and did an excellent job. I love the shape of my nails. They also look great ... no uneven areas or anything. This salon also does other stuff ... like lashes and waxing. Can't comment on those services, but I love that they offer other things. If I had any complaints ... well, more like suggestions, I would love to see this place do more trendy things ... like with nail art or texture. It would help them stay competitive with a lot of the other salons around. They also should do more advertising ... especially on social media. I would never have known this place existed if I didn't drive past it every day. I really hope they keep their prices affordable and the staff stays genuine and sweet. I will definitely go back and am hoping this is my new regular spot. It would make things much more convenient!!! read more

I always have had weak nails and wanted to find a place in Boston. I have gotten my nails with Lee every time he is so good. I get the structure gel manicure and it hits everytime. My nails never break and the color is so nice and natural. If you are getting this service get it done with him! The staff is also very nice and the salon is nice as well. I was so excited to get my toes done after weeks of training for my marathon. A friend suggested a new place that opened up in Allston and said they had a holiday special until the new year. Not only was my pedicure luxurious but the staff was excellent. They offered me water or a soda and had great suggestions for my services. Came here because of the good reviews. The vibes are okay in the salon, but it was awkwardly silent in there. Got Tim as a tech, who had an airpod in for the entire service and seemed kind of bothered to be doing the service (I made an appointment over the phone earlier that day). The other techs seemed nice though, so maybe it was luck of the draw. Paid $90 (plus tip) for a gel x set french manicure. Overpriced in my opinion, especially because when I asked for an almond/round shape, he gave me uneven, pointy nails. He sloppily put the white on the tips then cleaned it up with a brush, which I've never seen a professional do before. He asked if the length was okay, I explained that I work in a hospital and need for them to be on the shorter side and he barely shortened them. Thank goodness I suppose, since I needed to reshape them myself at home anyways. Will not be going back here. read more

I don't understand how this salon has such good reviews.. went in for a dip manicure and walked away with six fingers bleeding and raw at the cuticle. It actually hurts to wash my hands now.. I am so disappointed and just can't believe how much pain I'm in because of a simple manicure. It was my first time going to Q nails, and I was very excited to find a new nail place close to my new apartment. The inside is very beautiful and clean, and the service was fast. However, with it being so fast, my nails were not done well. For example, my nails began to chip just 3 days after I had gotten them done and the dip is peeling up after just a week. Also, he did not file my nails evenly and did not take the time to make sure that they all were well rounded and even. My nails are different shapes (which I did not ask for). Some are rounded, others are square, and all nails are filed not evenly. There is also noticeable paint clumping on 6/10 of my nails. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. read more

This is my 2nd time to this nail salon. I had a very favorable experience my first time & had a regular manicure, but now they have Dazzle Dry which is amazing bc it's quick drying & long lasting (10 days for me). Hates was Aesthetically, Q Nail Spa is my favorite of ALL spas I've previously visited. It's $5 more than my "regular" place - but here took greater care with cuticles and precision. This would be my regular salon if I lived closer. I also met the owner on my first visit, and she was so welcoming and very interesting. Don't hesitate to make this place your go to salon. read more

I came here for a dip manicure last week. I felt it was very aggressive - the manicurist was throwing my hands around and bending my fingers in directions that hurt and seemed very frustrated when I asked for something to be changed including arguing with me when I asked for polish on the bottom of my finger to be wiped off. I waited 25 minutes after my appointment time and was rushed through. I ended up leaving with a manicure I wasn't happy with but had already spent enough time there. 2 days later one of my fingers chipped but I didn't have a chance to go back until the next week. I called and went in to have them redone but was not met in a friendly manner. In addition, the top coat on multiple fingers was peeling away from the colored coat which i brought up and asked to have redone - I was willing to pay but my request was only met with refusal. I get dip every 4 weeks and this has never happened. My dip nails normally last 4+ weeks and I get them redone when they grow too long and I use my hands a lot for work. read more
