As I sit here reading some of the negative comments regarding services that were performed by RCM,…read moreI feel compelled to post my experience that I have had for the last 7 years with this company. Not only has RCM maintained my furnace and a/c unit on several occasions , they did a full installation of a new unit. I should have listened to Chris from the start when she suggested to replace my furnace on the first service call they made. At the time money was tight and I just needed the temporary fix (bandaid) to keep it running. They answered every call no matter what time it was, they were there! Even after making the suggestion of a new unit. I have never in any of my dealings with not only Chris but the field personnel as well ever had anything negative to say about anyone at RCM. My experience with them has been A++ and nothing less than great! I must add one other note. My 22 year old son bought a house this past year and unbeknownst to him his furnace was going in and out during the winter months. Keep in mind they had just had a baby boy so there was a newborn in the house. My son called me at 2am to tell me that the furnace went out and it was dropping below 50° in the house. I rushed over with heaters to get the temperature up and called Chris at the wee morning hours . Not sure exactly the time but it was before normal working hours for anyone. She cared for that newborn like she was part of our family and I will never forget that! She had a service member from her team over at his house in less than an hour and repaired the furnace. So excuse me in advance when I say this, RCM is a normal business that is here to perform a service and in return make money. When I hear false comments like some of the previous posts that are so FALSE AND SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH! This is one of the best companies that i have ever dealt with regarding home improvement or services. Because you dont get anything for free and dont get your way doesn't mean to jump on social media and slander someone's service that by all means dont deserve. You cannot put a price on the service that these people give! Thank you to RCM for not only having great service but having quality products at a competitive price!

As a maintenance manager for over 100 stores across the states, this company is one of the most…read moreunprofessional vendors I've worked with. Briefly put, we agreed on $350 diagnostics fee for 2 units and everything that might be needed in excess will be called in for approval before proceeding. In addition to before and after pictures to be taken + a manager's signoff. A few hours later I called the office and was told that the technician has left site and the total cost was $545 for resetting a breaker and replacing a couple of fuses. (Only got 3 pictures that are of no benefit and no signoff was obtained) I offered to pay $400 because the amount they requested wasn't approved and the their answer was that we either pay the full amount or they'd return to the store and uninstall the fuses. Definitely not a company that I would recommend and of course this is our last time we work with such unprofessional money-hungry people.

Magtek was the 3rd of 4 quotes I had scheduled to replace a 20 year old AC unit. I had also heard…read morefrom Home Depot/King HVAC (Carrier), Four Seasons (Lennox), and another local HVAC provider (American Standard). The first two attempted to oversell me on high SEER (high efficiency) AC Units (15 SEER and 18 SEER) alone without discussing the limitations of my current furnace and zoning to actually realize the efficiency of those very expensive AC units. The last quote was to upgrade my AC unit slightly (3 ton to 4 ton, still 13 SEER, no efficiency rebates) go with the same 80% efficient furnace that I had from American Standard, which was much more economical, but they were not offering any promotional financing of any kind. Darryl from Magtek was the first to explain to me the limitations of the higher efficiency AC units without upgrading your furnace and zoning at the same time. He did not try to oversell it, just gave me the facts, and quoted 4 different scenarios (AC Upgrade Only, AC/Furnace mid-tier upgrade, high efficiency AC/Furnace upgrade, and also new damper/zoning install as a separate add on to any/all of the above). After looking at costs, and taking into consideration Tranes/Wells Fargo, 0% Financing for 60 months offer (an offer we did not see matched from any of the other major providers), we decided it would be best to go all in and upgrade to the high efficiency systems (14 SEER 4 ton AC, 96% Efficient Furnace, and new zoning dampers (not the absolute highest, but a substantial increase from our 20 year old system). Darryl was also very considerate in closing the deal with a few add on's to secure the bid. We scheduled a Saturday install, they came immediately on time, and worked with a crew of about 3-4 from 7:30 am to about 5 pm to finish the job. All of their techs were very professional and friendly, answering all of our questions along the way. With the addition of the high efficiency furnace, they needed to add a 3 inch exhaust pipe directly to the outside through the brick wall, and they went to great lengths to keep that pipe high and tight to the ceiling making it hardly noticeable (not an easy thing to do on a replacement system with a finished basement). They left the place cleaner than how they found it, helped us set up and make sure we understood the new wifi thermostats, and from all appearances, did an excellent job. Hoping this system will last us another 20+ years and lower our utility bills in the process. Extremely happy with Magtek and would recommend to anyone.

It at that time. So when I called back she told I will get billed the $99 again plus the price of the labor. Horrible customer service. Also, what kind of furnace did you put in that the valve only lasts 2 years !!! They called me back and informed me I had a 10 year warranty on my furnace so it would cost $0. They did fix it so I updated to a 4.
