After two failed nail salon attempts, I was cautious about this salon. I love being surprised and I was pleasantly surprised here! I was greeted warmly and as a new client, given a tour of the salon. Ludovi, my stylist, took such good care of me! First was my wash which was done in a spa like room. After my wash, my head was wrapped in a hot towel. Included in the service was essential oils and a hand massage. It was relaxing. Ludovi listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered. All the while being very engaging with flowing conversation. Went into to get a color balance on my very light white hair. First, I had a consultation with Edi who gave me some options. He then brought me some swatches that we held against my face. After taking the option, that was his first recommendation off he went to mix the color and apply it. Very personable and knowledgeable about hair and color. The shampoo after the color was very relaxing. When we went to see the final product I was so happy. It actually exceeded what I was expecting. The color was perfect. It is very hard to find a colorist who takes the amount of time that Edi took with my hair to achieve a very flattering color on my 70 year-old face. Here I am back a couple years later to say this Salon has actually gotten even better than before. The stylist are all highly skilled. I literally didn't even go to anyone's specific. I just said give me whoever who can do it and the guy they gave me did my hair amazingly I wish he would've stayed till the end so I could've given him a great tip because he was so amazing. I wish I remembered his name but he was Asian and he was amazing. He gave me my dream hair color and I have so much confidence and feel so beautiful and happy now. I feel like a brand new person and even the lady who cut my hair said I look like an Aveda hair Model and she was so right I literally feel so pretty every single day because of this haircut and this hair color totally changed my life. I outlook not only that it was totally worth the money. The price was a great price and I don't feel like I was overcharged or anything like that I feel like it was perfect all around the best experience ever I've ever had at a hair place in my life. This was my first time with Stylist Bailey and I was blown away. I took a huge leap going from hair 2/3 down my back to a short very textured pixie at age 70. Bailey is an amazing hair cutter and stylist. She took her time, explained what she was doing. Always checking with me about what she was doing and what I was feeling. I went in for a consultation with Angelica for a pixie. I had ideas of what I wanted. She helped me combine the best look from several pictures. She had time, so she proceeded with the cut. She was so calming, patient and understanding. She literally cut my hair gradually to see how I felt, and to make sure I was comfortable going shorter. She nailed it!!!!! Crystal in coconut creek has been cutting my hair for 6 years now. I accidentally ended up with her and it was destiny! It's honestly not even convenient for me to get here because I live in boynton. Her cut it's so good and works so well for me that anytime I've tried to go somewhere closer, I end up doing the walk of shame right back into her chair. This means if Crystal ever decided she wanted to move to a different state she simply wouldn't be allowed. I would find some way to hunt her down (and yes that's a threat). Her skill level, breathtaking shampoo, unmatched professionalism, and hilarious sense of humor are only a few of the things that have me driving from a different county to get my hair done by her. She just gets it. A part of me wants to gate keep her. A bigger part of me needs the world to know how amazing she is. So do with that what you will. read more

Wanted to update my review now that the world is different with Covid. I still love Pyure and am so happy they are taking all precautions to help keep their customers safe when coming to the salon. Everyone must wear a mask - staff and guests. They also took my temp when I entered to ensure I was safe. They have even put up partitions at the registers as well as in the shampoo room between chairs. I went in for a cut with Jessi and as usual, she's amazing! She specializes in curly hair and she is the first person to give me an amazing cut with great layers to give my hair volume. This has been my salon for the past 6 years and I can never imagine going anywhere else. I waited a few weeks to write this review hoping that I would finally find a way to style the mess I was left with after leaving Pyure Salon. Unfortunately, that day has yet to come. I have very thick, long, wavy/curly hair and I haven't gotten my haircut in a year (because I have no time for self-care while working in healthcare). Made an appointment with Jessi because she was the only one that fit my schedule. As a courtesy to the stylist (and by the request of previous stylists), I always tell the receptionist the length and thickness of my hair has overwhelmed stylists in the past and that they may need to book a longer chunk of an appointment as a result. When I got to the salon for my appointment, I was the only one waiting for about 10-15 minutes. Jessi, obviously frazzled for whatever reason, went to the receptionist, pointed to assumedly my appointment on the screen and asked "why is this one so long", rolled her eyes, and said, "well, I guess I have no choice". She calls my name and mumbles for me come with her. I introduced myself since we had never met and she quickly says, "oh yeah, I'm Jessi". I've had a lot of haircuts in my life and I know what works for my hair and what doesn't. I told her my hair was really heavy for the summer and I'd like a few inches off, then showed her where I'd like it to end. Then, I said I'd like multiple layers with the shortest one no shorter than my chin so I can pull it up for work. She interrupted me and said, and I quote, "layers aren't really a thing" I was taken aback as I've never heard of a hair stylist saying that layers weren't a thing. I don't know if she meant they were no longer fashionable or she didn't know how to do layers, but either way, the worry started to set in. As I'm too nice for my own good, I sat back in the chair and told her since she was the expert, I'd trust her judgement. Big mistake. I then started to detail how I would like to have it cut more specifically in length but she interrupted me again and said, "well before we do anything, let's just get rid of all the stuff we don't need", whipped out scissors and hacked off a bunch of my hair behind my back. Found out it was shorter than I wanted when it was too late. I kept waiting for the shampoo portion to come, as I requested, but it never did. Instead, she twirled sections of my hair and took thinning shears to random parts of each twirled section. Each cut, she looked hesitant, like she had never done this before. She proceeded to do this for my entire head, only stopping to ask me where I like to part my hair. She made no other cuts besides using these thinning shears. She then blow dried it and told me that "now I would have more texture" and it would look great styled. Considering I have curly hair, the one thing I *don't* need is more texture. Also, since I'm working in healthcare during a pandemic, I don't have the time to style my hair for an hour or two each day. These are things she would have known if I had any sort of communication with her without being repeatedly interrupted. My millennial pushover heart still tipped her bringing the cut to a whopping $75 (which included the shampoo I never received and damn, was I excited for that famous Aveda head massage that comes with it). Maybe she was having a bad day? Maybe she was tired? But if I've only learned one thing about dealing with people, it's that you have to compartmentalize whatever stress you're going through and not take it out on your clients. I've honestly never cried so much over a stupid haircut. I've never dyed my hair, nor do I use any heat tools on it, yet now my hair looks like it's been fried and broken because of whatever ridiculous technique she saw online once (see picture from today on just washed hair). My healthy thick hair is now half the thickness it was with random broken hair pieces everywhere. I never had an issue with severe frizz and now I can battle Doc Brown from Back to the Future for Best Hair. I expected more from an Aveda salon with an otherwise good reputation. I write this solely to recommend others to be wary of any stylist who tells you that "layers aren't a thing". Run away as fast as you can! read more

But that's not even the best part, the staff is! 10/10 would recommend Pedro! I'm super indecisive and not great with styling, so I love his suggestion and knowledge. gave him two general ideas and statements and man did he deliver! These are the only salons that have unreliable staff coupled with front desk associates that continuously screw up, lose and cancel appointments. Then I'm told by the receptionist that if I want to keep the same appointment, I have to pay a higher rate for an alternate staff, really?!
