Sooooo Abby is clearly the original gangsta of short haircuts. Ladies these haircuts are difficult to pull off and they take time and precision and a stylist who knows wtf they are doing. I present unstyled perfectly symmetrical bob. She told me she can pixie gangsta style too. The salon is clean and all the women who work there actually seem to like each other. No negative energy in that space. How they have the mirrors set up you can watch your own haircut and the person in front of you. That is completely satisfying. I would recommend the salon and Abby. I was nervous and unsure at first, but Irma did a great job on my hair. She did hair in Milan for 20 years and she really knew what she was doing. The owner Tiffany is very nice and it's a fun, rock music playing salon. If I'm honest, I didn't like the extra $30 I was charged for having longer hair but other than that, I will go to Irma as long as I can. I read all the good reviews for Artisans and the color specialist we requested and thought this was THE place to send my daughter for coloring. Bad assumption. Initially they didn't have the color that my daughter wanted (purple) so they convinced her to go with a different color (red). OK, not sure how a place that specializes in color doesn't have a popular color but not that big a deal. The problem is that MANY hundreds of dollars later and after following all the instructions for care and maintenance, special shampoos, etc. etc. the expensive 'permanent' color treatment didn't last any longer than the $30 kit we get from Walgreens. Approximately 3 weeks later it had faded at least 50% and within 6-8 weeks was completely gone. Now my daughter just has bleached hair with no red at all. Definitely not permanent and definitely can't recommend this place for color. read more

I am really happy I found Chelsie! I had my 2nd appt. with her today and am so pleased with my color and blowout! I am in Florida only 2 1/2 months a year and have tried a couple of other salons and they never got my color right. Chelsie is so sweet & down to earth!!!! She makes you feel really comfortable. I walked in feeling like a mess and left feeling like a new person! Well I should have known when Chelsea couldn't find the color ( chair is next to the color station)! Color was good but the haircut! Obviously she is new, when I heard her say" oh I see what I did" once again I new I was in trouble! Too short on one side so she had to cut the other side to even if up! First time ever posting on Yelp. I am in Florida for ten days and realized my short haircut was overdue for a visit which I typically book every five weeks with my stylist in Massachusetts. I guess I booked out fifteen months in advance but reached my end in January (my bad) so I was desperate for a color and cut. I looked at Yelp reviews and chose Artisans Salon because the reviews were so positive. I left a voicemail yesterday when they were closed asking for a color and cut appointment and they called me as soon as they opened. I made an appointment with Chelsie for 3:00. Fast forward, Chelsie was amazing! She consulted with me about my color and showed me color samples (something I have never been presented with before) and told me why she was choosing them. She was very precise in applying the color to my very short hair (UGH! It takes so much longer to apply.) The resulting color was exactly what I hoped and what we discussed. Next, she cut my hair saying she would follow my previous cut but she actually did better than that and gave me a chic short cut which she enhanced with styling wax. What I appreciated most was her constant comments on what she was going to do next; it felt collaborative. read more

I was just there to check the place out some and was welcomed by Lauren to have a look around the place she also informed me on services they perform there , pricing, and gave me some product knowledge on what the salon Carrie's and uses on the client. It was a very welcoming visit seeing that I am new to the area and possibly in need of future beauty services .I was impressed with the environment and energy of the salon and I would definetly like to come by and see more of this place perhaps even get my hair done or cut .
