My roof got totaled by hail twice in 3 years. They did okay with the 1st roof replacement. The 2nd time was terrible. They messed up my ventilation and have been difficult to get ahold of to get it fixed. Meanwhile my AC runs all the time, my electric bill is awful (much higher than before) and it's uncomfortable in my home. If you've already used them, check their work. Boy, the hits just keep on coming with these guys. After having our roof and guttering replaced by Pyramid, we had a multitude of problems surface almost immediately. We thought we had them all repaired, but little did we know that there was more to come. After we had a winter storm dump ice and snow on the roof, the sun comes out and starts melting it. What did we find? A constant running of water from the ceiling in our master bathroom from around the door frame, ceiling exhaust fan, light fixture, etc. Unfortunately, we are concerned about asking Pyramid to "fix" this issue because of all the other problems we have had with them. Inspite of that, we called. They never answered or returned the call. We are forced to get it fixed by someone who will actually do a good job fixing Pyramid's mistakes. My advice, don't waste your money and time. Pyramid Roofing is the worst contractor i have ever encountered. Poor workmanship. Terrible customer service. Abysmal cleanup. From start to finish Pyramid Roofing clearly communicated each step of our replacement roof project. Everyone working on he project was professional. I was very impressed how quickly they completed the project. When the project was finished the yard and surrounding areas were cleaned up. Our back yard was left nicer than it was when they arrived as we had leaves and twigs on our deck from the recent storm. When all was completed Pyramid came back out and inspected all of the work and followed up to make sure were were satisfied. We are very happy with the end result. read more

Never use this company. They don't care and have horrible customer service. I have a flat roof that I spent over 20K replacing. I have a leak that they claim is due to bad mortar on my chimney. No way that could be true. And there are five locations where water pools up that were not there prior to the replacement. By far the worst experience I've ever had with any business. We are going 2 months now of dodged calls and excuses. Every single employee that has come out to see the job they did on my house had said it was "terrible" and "unacceptable" yet management won't call me back. All they do is continue to send the same invoice over and over. RUN away from these shady folks. They sub contract the work to fly by night 3rd parties, then don't stand behind the job. They have literally put up and taken down my brand new gutters four different times, each time putting new holes in my house and banging up the gutters. I used Pyramid Roofing to replace my roof following hail damage. Although they billed my insurance company for flashing, they did not install flashing on my new roof. I have questioned them about this and have yet to receive an appropriate response. I am only being told by Pyramid that flashing is not necessary. My neighbors who have the same roofline all had flashing put on their new roofs, but their roofs were repaired by other companies. I would definitely steer away from this company. read more

Six weeks since the first visit and nothing done to repair leak except a tarp. Someone did show up, hammered around for maybe 1/2 hr and left. Next rain showed leak was worse. I complained and insisted a tarp be placed; which was done. My $450.00 bill, which I paid, did not cover anything else and I was quoted another fee to continue the work. Finally got an appointment to complete repair and did not show even though they emailed stating the time and day. I then terminated any future dealing with them. Be extremely careful if you contact them. I was expecting an estimate, but was told after the original inspection I had generated a balance due of $450.00, which was for the first "repair" that did nothing to stop the leaks. I strongly expect that I am not the only person that has gone through this with them. read more

The worst experience ever. I had Pyramid replace my roof, gutters, fascia, and soffits. They claimed the job was done yet there was still rotted wood (holes) in my soffits, misaligned wood pieces, untreated wood, among other issues. They returned to my house to fix different problems at least 7 - 10 times and things still aren't completely right and one part of my guttering looks ridiculous. They billed me $1100 over the quote and when I asked that they reduce it by $500 for all the time and trouble and shoddy work, they refused. They were paid the full quoted amount but I would send emails about the $1100 and not receive answers. They then sent the $1100 to an attorney's office for collection. So apparently they are willing to pay $500 or more to an attorney but not to make things right with a customer. I highly recommend that nobody use this company. read more

Not sure if the other poor reviews are just a bunch of Karens or those helicopter customers who want to supervise every single movement of a contractor but either way it's hard to believe them after dealing with Pyramid on multiple occasions along with several recommendations from fellow repair men who've used them for years. I only offer up services that I would use personally and have used them twice in the past year on my own homes. They refuse to use substandard materials (timberline shingles) which is a huge plus, and they quoted metal valley trim and oversized drip edge without me even requesting. 25+ years in the housing and commercial construction industry so if I want the finished product to look like I did it myself and last longer than expected then I send Pyramid to get the near perfect results. My roof was recently replaced by Pyramid. I am very unhappy with the process. They did a great job on my roof as far as I know by the look of it, but they damaged my ceiling. I brought it to their attention 3 times during the job and they kept slamming the shingles from knee high and dropping. It shook the whole foundation and light fixtures and put a crack in my wall. I have vaulted ceilings and no communication was made. They just didn't act like they cared and kept damaging the inside of my house. I work in customer service and can understand the business side of most situations. However, my current experience with Pyramid Roofing Company has been both frustrating and unacceptable. Recently I purchased a home that Pyramid had installed a new roof on 5-6 years ago. The previous owner left me the receipts. I called about warranty work and their soonest opening was 2 weeks out. Though that seemed like a long time when you have a leaking roof I understood they were busy. No big deal. I made the appointment. So 2 weeks later I called to confirm the appointment. They couldn't even find me in their system. Not only was there no appointment scheduled, I didn't even exist in their system! The receptionist calls back and says a salesperson would be able to visit me next week. I reminded her I originally had called in 2 weeks ago about warranty work. She then explains their warranty can only be transferred to a new owner within 5 years of the life of the roof. So we have a company that fails to even properly schedule their customers and finds loopholes to avoid any warranty work. Against my better judgement I rescheduled for a salesperson to come give me a quote. A week later he shows up and writes up a very expensive bid and said if I signed they could begin work in apx 2 weeks. I declined and decided to get a quote from another company. The second company I called came the same day, fixed the issue the same day, and charged $700 less than Pyramid! They were timely, respectful, truthful, and fair. Everything Pyramid is not. Pyramid roofing is the definition of a scam. There is no business or service that I would recommend LESS. They will not install your roof properly. They will not show up when scheduled. They will not honor their own warranties for shoddy workmanship. And they will vastly overcharge for their awful services. Stay away! read more

Pyramid was hired to repair chimney flashing that was causing water to leak inside the house and down the fireplace facade. They did the job, however it continued to leak. They did come out to test it, but could not find the source of leak, and instead said the leak was actually coming from inside the chimney and not their responsibility. Water continued to leak inside the home down the fireplace causing further damage. When called again, they referenced their previous testing and said they did not find any leaking and insisted that it was only coming from inside the chimney, which again was not their responsibility. Pyramid did not repair the flashing properly, which continued to cause further damage and they did not honor their warranty. read more

We had Pyramid Roofing install our roof several years ago. It recently started leaking, but since it's still under warranty we contacted them. We spoke to a gentleman named Tony who was helpful, and was suppose to call us back about scheduling the repair. He never did. We've left him several message over the past week, and he has yet to return our call. We've also tried calling the main office at 816-966-1011 and have been told the number is now disconnected. Which is weird since it worked last Tuesday when we spoke to the receptionist/clerk named Kelsey. Either way, I would take my business elsewhere. read more

The house I bought had brand new roof put on by Pyamid Roofing. During the house inspection in was pointed out to me was that the house had a brand new roof, but that the warranty was already void because they had not installed the shingles correctly nor was there antiquity venting installed. Meaning that the manufacture would never honor a warranty on the materials should there ever be an issue. Fast forward 5 years later and I discovered that the flashing on the edge of the roof was installed going to the OUTSIDE of the gutters instead of going INSIDE them. Meaning that for the last five years all the rain water has been pouring inside the soffits (the part of the roof that over hangs away from the house) rather than into the gutters! The soffits as you would expect after that much water exposure have rotted out. These people clearly had no idea what they were doing and no focus or interest in the quality of their work. UPDATE : In response to Ray L.'s comments. Yep, this is the same review as I put Angie's list. Why would I not post on both to warn people? The irony of you accusing me of doing harm after your company caused thousands of dollars of damage to my house made me laugh out loud. I see that just as on Angie's list you are not challenging any of the factual parts of my review and are instead once again trying to paint your self as the victim. Not once has your company so much as offered a simple apology for the damage your negligence caused, to say nothing about paying for it. So no. It does not seem that you really care that much about the quality of your work or your reputation. read more

I hate that it took me leaving negative reviews, but they did explain they had been very busy with last summer's hail problems, and took full responsibility for the problems. I feel the remedy was handled in a very professional way, and that they are changing some business practices to avoid this kind of problem in the future. We truly had a great experience with Pyramid. Needed to get our roof replaced quickly before putting the house on the market. Pyramid was out a week after we hired them and the roof done in 2 days. Gutters were also done quickly when the weather cooperated. My only complaint would be that they need to do a better job of clean up after roof and gutters. Found several nails around as did one of my tires we took a magnet after that and found more nails. Seems like they should have done that as well. read more

Pyramid is definitely a cut above the rest. Competitive on price, but the way they run the process from end to end gives the customer a uniquely positive experience. My brother in law referred me to my salesman Todd on a Monday morning, and by Saturday of the same week my new construction roofing job was complete. Todd provided advice on the proper grade of shingle to install, helped us choose our color, and focused on meeting our tight timeline. Valerie was our coordinator who kept tabs on every aspect of the job. They have a great electronic bid acceptance process which can all be completed from your smart phone. The installation was completed to our satisfaction. The project manager assigned to our project made sure everything ran smoothly on site and made sure a final inspection was performed and follow up items were taken care of. Yikes! What happened to them?!?! The first time they replaced our roof was amazing. NOW NO WAY THE SAME!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE! ! I thought when we had the storms in May I knew who to call and also recommended them to the neighbors. After having an appointment schedule for two weeks in advance to look at our roof, the sales rep called me the day of the appointment saying there had been a scheduling conflict and that he'd need to reschedule. That's been a few weeks now and despite several calls to him and even sales manager Jerry, we still have not heard back. To start with, they have the worst communication of any company I have ever dealt with, it takes days to get Steven one of their salesmen to call you back. When they originally finished the job the flashing around the chimney looked like total crap, it folded over onto the face of the chimney and was the most amateur job I had ever seen. Then they screwed my satellite dish back down on the finished roof and did not screw it into a stud, I did not know this until I called DirecTV to come track in my satellite, the satellite technician showed me that they just screwed to the decking and it wobbled back and forth, he said the first good wind storm will rip it right out of the roof and because it is not stable it will not stay tracked in. Pyramid sent a couple roofers out at the same time that Direct TV came back out, they removed the dish and the satellite technician installed it on the wall, I asked the roofers if they were going to replace the shingles and they said yes, the satellite technician told me that the roofers had left and only caught the holes on the brand new roof I called the company and told them that was not acceptable that I wanted the shingles with holes replaced. They did come back and finally replace the shingles. I had to stay on them about the flashing on the face of my chimney, after a month of them still not fixing the flashing, they sent me and my insurance company the bill, I told them they would get paid when the flashing was repaired that is when the salesman told me that that was standard to do flashing that way. There had been a lot of roofing companies in my neighborhood at the same time I was getting my roof done by pyramid, and nobody had flashing folded over onto the face of their chiminey with big chunks of caulk all smeared around it, pyramid did finally repair the flashing and made it look right. Then to top it all off, pyramid sent me the final bill and it was almost $1,500 more than what the original contract price we agreed on was. I talked to Steve, our salesman with pyramid Roofing and he is telling me that the extra charge was for work they had to do to meet city code, but yet never did contact me or my insurance to get the extra work approved. My insurance company said they will not cover the extra work or pay for it leaving me to not only pay my deductible but also have to pay the extra $1,500. I talked with other people in my neighborhood that had Roofing done by other companies and none of the other roofing companies added an extra charge. All my neighbors were very happy with the roofing companies they had Chosen and none of them had any surprise charges on their final bill. I will never use pyramid Roofing again or will I recommend them to anybody, not even my enemies. Do not use this company they will give you one price and then hit you with another price they do not communicate and will scam you on your final bill. Also when they were finished with the roof and left for the night, there was Nails all over my driveway and worst of all the next day I noticed there was a handful of Nails in the bottom of my in-ground pool, unfortunately I now have a couple rust stains from the nails on the bottom of my pool. Bottom line pyramid Roofing is a very unprofessional company and will give you one price to do the job and then up charge it at the end.
