Kathy truly went above and beyond to help us through every step of the process. Honestly, without her help, I don't think we would have been able to get everything taken care of in time. Whenever we had a question or an issue, Kathy was always quick to respond and did everything she could to help us find a solution. A huge thank you to Kathy and Grace for being so responsive, patient, and dependable. We truly appreciate everything you've done for us and are so glad to be working with Pyramid Insurance! read more

We have been with Pyramid for over 10 years and have stayed because of the customer service and competitive rates. They also go above and beyond by ensuring that we are receiving the best rates for our policies without us having to ask them, they tell us! It's very hard now to find any company that will work behind the scenes to take care of their clients, and Pyramid definitely does. read more

Donna & Karen are excellent. I have been a Pyramid customer for years and they have never let me down. Whenever I needed help, they were there. Even when I was out of state and that is important! read more

State Farm notified us they will no longer provide in their residential policies "hurricane coverage" for single walled-construction homes. Ugh! Of no surprise, we were in a panic and shocked since this news came on the week Kona low hit our islands. Fortunately, JONATHAN FUJINAKA helped us secure a separate hurricane insurance policy without any gap in coverage. He quickly provided multiple hurricane insurance policy quotes. His knowledge, experience and his long-term professional relationships with underwriters helped make the process smooth. We were relieved! Mahalo Jonathan!!! read more

Terrible, nonexistent customer service. If you can get someone on the phone, they are rude and don't seem to know what they are talking about. read more

We use Pyramid for multiple insurance policies. Shanalenn provided helpful, professional, efficient and fast service. She was also very compassionate and went above and beyond to help us with our policies and all the communication that it involves. Our experience with Pyramid has been amazing from the very start! Zach is professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Anytime we need him he's there. Both he and Sandy are kind & extremely supportive of our small business. It's hard to find an insurance company who treats you like people instead of just a policy. Pyramid is the one! read more

Lack of follow up to multiple questions regarding an insurance quote. If this is the level of service for someone that is interested in their product, then I would hate to see what it would be if I became a customer. read more

We have been customers for many years and have always been so delighted at their fast service. The rates have been comparable to what we've seen around, and their personnel is top-notch. Thank you for making Insurance so effortless. read more

I was in a bind and tired of paying high premiums for my vehicle insurance, but my employer has particular coverage requirements. I am so glad that JUDY MARRUFO and I connected and that I FINALLY called her (why did I wait so long?). Judy was clear and concise in her instruction and helped me get into a new policy with ease-- taking the work out of me "shopping for coverage." She communicated along the process, ensuring that I got all the possible premium discounts applied to my policy. She provided me with all the options and quickly drew up my paperwork as soon as I made my selection. I was so happy with my experience I had Judy check on my father's policy, and guess what, she saved him money, too! read more

I wanted to get liability insurance thru them and they couldn't take the time to pick up the phone. Tried to sell me a whole policy just by continuing a conversation over email back and forth. Then no followup to the emails at one point. Pleasure not doing business with you read more

Robb has been an agent for my parents for several years. I recently reached out regarding renter's insurance (on a Wednesday). He was extremely quick, efficient , and knowledgeable, taking the time to walk me through my options and prioritizing my goals and best interests. He submitted my application / signatures in a few hours, and everything was wrapped up by Friday. Highly recommend Robb if you're looking for a great agent! read more

This review has been long overdue. Our veterinary practice has been a Pyramid Insurance customer for over 20 years and we are very pleased with the pleasant, professional and prompt service we receive from Pyramid. We have been well taken care of from new policy questions to policy renewals. Amber Osakoda has been stellar and we know that we can count on her to get the job done. She responds quickly and diligently follows up. Great customer service! read more

Horrible communication practices..Just getting a copy of our HOA Flood insurance master copy for mortgage company is mentally taxing.. the customer service reps are inefficient, not very helpful, and rude. Was hung up on to conclude call when I was still speaking. Had issue with company coverage bathroom repair thru claims reported thru HOA and they didn't want to pay the Quote (-) thedeductible. Worst insurance company I've dealt with and wish our HOA wasn't affiliated with them. read more

Horrible follow up, there is always an excuse for lack of communication, from illnesses to a new employee learning the ropes. My tipping point was being with the company in good standing for many years and then when I needed their help I was tossed to the side and I had to continuously call and email for help with basic requests. I can't imagine working with them if I had an emergency. I left before that happened. I wouldn't recommend this company. read more

It's crazy when an insurance company drops you because of a claim. Yes, it's a big one, but its the first claim in a long time. I heard this happens with this company many years ago, but thought they changed. Why bother having insurance? Also, if you are working ftom home, do you not check or respond to emails? Just upset becsuse we received a notice with an explanation. Poor communication/customer service. read more

Kelly Bugarin, insurance agent, answers my calls and sends quotes in properly time manner. Stays in contact during the whole time. Took care of what we needed. When you pull up in the garage, the office door is right there. It's shady. And they validate. I think great experience overall on the contrary to what other people have written. Great job Kelly!!! read more

I just switched my home insurance policy to Pyramid this year, 1/2021. My new agent, Shannon Mar, was excellent in getting me a better deal with the correct coverage I needed. Because I requested help at the last minute (2 weeks before my renewal with my previous carrier), she was put to the test to get everything done quickly - requesting quotes, getting my approvals, and then binding my policy. She was very responsive and worked hard to expedite everything for me and ensure the transition between the two policies were smooth and I didn't lapse on my coverage. I'm really happy that I chose Pyramid, but more importantly, I'm very ecstatic that Shannon is my agent. If you're looking to change your insurance, go to Pyramid and ask for Shannon Mar. read more

Jimmy Kuwata has been taking care of my business and personal insurance for a decade and a half now. He's always quick to respond and offers good advice on what I should get. Absolute scam artists. Sure, they'll sell you "insurance", but LOL. They have been scamming my mother in law with dementia for years, artificially inflating the value of her home to increase their premiums. When we called them on it it Jeffrey Kaneda, the agent, refused to answer calls and, when when we finally did manage to get through, just hung up on us after a brief conversation. Absolute POS company that anyone with common sense should steer FAR clear of. read more

I have finally decided to drop Island (Pyramid) Insurance after almost three years. There customer service is just terrible. They do not update address changes. They want to argue with you about who is right. They never take your phone calls when they come in, and most the time you are lucky to hear back from them in the same day. When I first started the policy they were nice, informative, and helpful. However, any follow up calls to make any sort of changes falls on deaf ears. If you voice your frustration with the process they get upset with you (the customer). read more

THE WORST....do not do any business with this company. Incompetent and dishonest. Cost me hundreds of dollars due to their dishonesty and lies. When I had enough of the excuses I called HIPA and found out that all my agent told me where LIES. When I found another company that would insure me for thousands less that I was quoted from Pyramid, my agent had the audacity to ask to continue to be by agent and she would be able to switch everything over to the new company. When I asked why she did not do this to begin with, again more lies and bullshit. I wonder how people like this are able to sleep at night when they conduct business like this. read more

started my business in remodeling and went for my Contractor License (passed) but an issue came up with my insurance that i got from Pyramid. they gave me an insurance form California when i made it clear Im starting business here (Hawaii). If you're a struggling small-business owner and want to be treated like one, go to Pyramid Insurance. I didn't purchase the big policy with all the bells and whistles, but I didn't really need it for my photography business. Trouble is, the level of interaction and customer service made me feel like my business and my insurance purchase was insignificant. I'm sorry, but insurance is NOT an easy topic for those not in the business. I'll be the first to admit that I need help understanding what I'm signing and what coverages I'm getting. Very little was explained, and I'm sure there are parts of the policy that aren't easily interpreted by most of us. All that seemed to matter to Pyramid Insurance was a signed policy and a check. At times, I felt rushed to just get the forms signed and returned. I'm glad I didn't have to file any claims, as I don't think Pyramid has your peace of mind in your best interest. I'm glad I didn't get to the point where I discovered that a loss would not be covered and where I would have to deal with poor customer service in the worst possible time. Needless to say, I'm shopping elsewhere. read more
