My tipping point was being with the company in good standing for many years and then when I needed their help I was tossed to the side and I had to continuously call and email for help with basic requests. They want to argue with you about who is right. They never take your phone calls when they come in, and most the time you are lucky to hear back from them in the same day. I didn't purchase the big policy with all the bells and whistles, but I didn't really need it for my photography business. Trouble is, the level of interaction and customer service made me feel like my business and my insurance purchase was insignificant. I'm sorry, but insurance is NOT an easy topic for those not in the business. I'll be the first to admit that I need help understanding what I'm signing and what coverages I'm getting. Very little was explained, and I'm sure there are parts of the policy that aren't easily interpreted by most of us. All that seemed to matter to Pyramid Insurance was a signed policy and a check. At times, I felt rushed to just get the forms signed and returned. I'm glad I didn't have to file any claims, as I don't think Pyramid has your peace of mind in your best interest. I'm glad I didn't get to the point where I discovered that a loss would not be covered and where I would have to deal with poor customer service in the worst possible time. Been with them over 10 years, last year try to claim a paint spill at the job site area. Agent said, they don't cover paint spill, don't even cone out to take info, only over the phone. So they filed a claim to my car insurance company. Why we paid for General liability? I sold my work truck 2018 Dec. Email the agent to notice him to filed a cancelation for the work truck. Months later, they still charged me for the policy of the work truck. Call and talk to the agent to cancel my worker's compensation policy, due to no workers at this time, mainly sub out all the work. Again, nothing was done, that 2019. This year, I call and email agent to make sure I only need general liability policy from 2020. For months, no quote send to me. Keep sending me the same amount for the same policy from the pass. Do they care and listen to what you need? Are they here to help us? I feel like everytime after you make the payment, then they will no longer call or service you! They even send me letters saying cancelation reason is due to nonpayment. LoL! The reason is because I don't want to do business with this kind of company. Over 10 years trusting this agent he is there for me, is the other way around. I was there for him the pass 10 years. Whoever reading this. I know that many of my friend's referred me here because they had really good deals on the insurance policies they had, and needless to say, I couldn't blame them. This company, when you walk in has several eye catching mementos that they have displayed in the front reception area, a plaque of "Universal North America Executive Round Table 2016" and "Top producing agency" for the year 2016 for HIG. I did my own digging and also found out that they are affiliated with First Insurance too, which I know is a promising company. Honestly, this place has a few things to work on, sometimes the service is slow compared to others because they don't have the appropriate staff or their are people like me who call frequently.Overall, it's a good company! read more
