My tipping point was being with the company in good standing for many years and then when I needed their help I was tossed to the side and I had to continuously call and email for help with basic requests. They want to argue with you about who is right. They never take your phone calls when they come in, and most the time you are lucky to hear back from them in the same day. I didn't purchase the big policy with all the bells and whistles, but I didn't really need it for my photography business. Trouble is, the level of interaction and customer service made me feel like my business and my insurance purchase was insignificant. I'm sorry, but insurance is NOT an easy topic for those not in the business. I'll be the first to admit that I need help understanding what I'm signing and what coverages I'm getting. Very little was explained, and I'm sure there are parts of the policy that aren't easily interpreted by most of us. All that seemed to matter to Pyramid Insurance was a signed policy and a check. At times, I felt rushed to just get the forms signed and returned. I'm glad I didn't have to file any claims, as I don't think Pyramid has your peace of mind in your best interest. I'm glad I didn't get to the point where I discovered that a loss would not be covered and where I would have to deal with poor customer service in the worst possible time.
