When the outlet behind my coffee maker started making alarming noises, we shut off the breaker and called our regular electrician. After two hours with no response, we tried another. Still no reply. Meanwhile, the refrigerator was off too, and we were not about to lose all our food. We turned to Yelp. The reviews looked solid, so we called. They answered right away. A few minutes later, we got a text saying Daniel was on his way and would arrive in 16 minutes. And he did. We described the issue, he inspected the outlet, and removed the cover. The receptacle was cracked in five places, with melted and burned plastic. It was a dangerous mess that could have turned into a serious problem. Daniel replaced it, flipped the breaker, and everything came back to life. No more crackling. Coffee maker working. Fridge humming again. We are very happy with the service and have added Johnathon Brown Electric to our go-to list. If we have another electrical issue, they will be our first call. I asked about a garage lighting project and they are currently working on the estimate for a this proposed lighting upgrade (from basically nonexistent) in our garage.

They did everything from replacing/upgrading an electrical panel for one of our tenants to rewiring a 9,000 sq ft basement for amp-intensive business use. Mr. Adams even came out mid-summer on an hour's notice to assess a broken A/C. He identified the issue within minutes (it was a bad capacitor) and charged us for just that. Such levels of competence and honesty are extremely rare in this day & age. We now trust only this company with our building's wiring and heating / cooling. I cannot emphasize enough how good Adams Mechanical is - and how much I trust them to do good work at a fair price.

Curt provides free estimates for your project before he starts any work. He showed up when he said he would to provide the estimate. His basic hourly rate is $55 which seemed standard for this area. He showed up the next day to complete the work. He was here on time, he was efficient about his work, he was as neat as possible while working and cleaned up before he left. The final bill was exactly what he'd quoted the day before, not one penny more. BTW, he's licensed in both NC and SC and insured. I'd use Curt again and I'd recommend him to others.
