This currency exchange house offers the best rates around at their convenient downtown location…read more I've called around and it beat 3 other places, including my bank. If the line appears wickedly long at first, not to worry - it moves fast. The agents provide expedient service, and they're always cheerful, happy to answer questions, and generally wish you a good trip in (destination of choice). As others have mentioned, ask for the preferred rate for best results.

This is my to go place for exchange currency. Very friendly and fast service as usual…read more They always ask what kind of bill do I want. It's better to research what for do you spend money in that foreign country. For example, nomally I don't carry big bill in Canada but in Japan, they prefer cash. So I order ¥5000 and ¥10000 bill mix (it like $50 bill and $100 bill)

Super fast and friendly service. I exchanged for Japanese yen with no issues. I'd recommend it…read moreover VBCE.

Went in to get some US cash for an upcoming trip. It's a very small space right on Granville near…read moreRobson, beside the Burger King. Walked right in, no waiting. Did the exchange quickly. However, what keeps this from being 5 stars is a rather cold and unfriendly welcome. The woman behind the counter did the exchange but showed no friendliness. Also, although I checked the rate on their website before I went in, I got less than the rate quoted. I know exchange rates fluctuate but this was a very rapid drop. Also, the owner was there and walked right past us as we were leaving, but instead of acknowledging us in any way, he averted his eyes and looked at the floor. Is it just too much effort to look at your customers and say "Thanks for coming in," or similar or even just a friendly smile? We felt completely unwelcome and will go elsewhere for future currency exchanges. How you treat your customers DOES matter.

I am a long time customer with Happy Currency Exchange…read more I went to the Richmond location to do a money transfer. I was in the middle of transaction. A middle-aged woman who served me suddenly left and served with another client for money exchange. I waited for her about 10 minutes....I told her you should let me finish my case first then next. but she said "I shouldn't come here anymore because I didn't like the way she did." And she told me to find another agency! She told me again don't come back! At that time there was not any customers and that she was very disrespectful to me! It is a real bad customer service!

Very good rates and no minimum amount, perfect for getting rid of CAD at end of your trip…read more Airports and hotels will charge much more. For example today I paid around 1.31 CAD per USD. The spot rate is 1.3, so really close. The airport one ICE wants to charge $1.35 right now and has $40 minimum. My hotel is probably 1.4 - their buy rate was 1.2 so I assume sell is equally high. The lady who helped me was friendly and inside was clean and air conditioned (a surprisingly rare thing here). Please note that the location on Yelp is wrong. They are no longer located on number 3 road. They are located in the Wal Mart plaza a little east of their old location. I have submitted this change to Yelp.

Kingmark has been my go-to for Asia currencies, as they know their clientel, and it usually is…read moreChinese, and if you are coming here, they seem to have all the Asian currencies stacked, and with a slightly better rate than the other foreign exchanges, and way better than your bank. Yes, this place is at Crystal mall, but the access is on the outside of the mall on the Kingsway side, and it's a very secure place, you enter a door, where it is locked, and they are watching you, then you hear a buzzer to get to the next location which is to change your money. I have never had a bad experience here, and their hours of operation are really good, just don't come on Sunday cause you won't get anything.
