For the most part the glowing reviews are from those who have a few reviews to their credit. As far as this FX goes, they rarely have the currency you need in stock. They shuttered most of the locations in the region and only have one now in Richmond which moved from the VanCity building to a new one on Cook and No. 3 Road. Also, their online currency trading system is very sketchy. Few financial institutions allow to use them unlike VBCE and others. If you're lucky enough to get cash on-hand, they do offer some of the best rates but that's not enough reason to use them (again).

Can't say I've done a comparison since, but judging by the long line ups, I would assume they are still the best for your foreign currency needs. They carry EVERYTHING. Just call beforehand and check that they have enough in stock if you're needing some of the less popular currency. They are also super helpful and can either order you more or direct you to one of the other branches that will have what you need. This is also one of the better locations because it's easy to find parking. My only issue was that I wish their hours were a bit longer.
