Brought in a Mazda 3 that stalled while driving in the middle of the road. I towed the car to their shop and I paid for a $200 diagnostic. The conclusion of their diagnostic stated that the throttle body had buildup and the MAF sensor was broken. They wanted me to pay over 2000 dollars to replace the MAF and throttle body assembly. All that actually needed to be done was clean the throttle body with a 4 dollar can of cleaner and replace a $150 Mazda brand part which required removing 2 phillips head screws. When I refused the service and came to pick up the car the battery was completely dead. I'm not understanding why they completely drained my battery; and I was forced to buy a new one. Horrible experience which completely ruined my trust with this business. Every other mazda dealer I have been to has been top notch and even provided pictures of the parts/condition of the car. I had to repeatedly ask for the results of the diagnostic work done to find the problem. $360 dollars in labor to replace a sensor attached with 2 philips head screws? The proof is in the paperwork. Go somewhere else, this place is a scam and untrustworthy. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

I've been getting my car maintenance and services done here ever since I first purchased my Mazda here the last 9 or so years. Even though this is not the closes Mazda for me, I still make an effort to make the drive here for my services. Staff were always friendly and approachable, knowledgeable, and felt taken care of. I've also worked with the same service staff. Never felt upsold on unnecessary services or repairs. However, in the last 2 or so years, I've noticed a shift in their service. I've started working with new staff. I go in for a simple oil change, and they already start selling me unnecessary services each time. They would offer 3-tiers of services ranging from $1,000- $1,500. These includes cleaning and different fluid changes. I recommend doing your research before coming here with the recommend service by Mazda stated in your manual or a simple Google search. BEWARE: They charge a 2% fee for credit card payments! I was told when I went in for service that starting this month, they now charge a 2% fee if you pay by credit card. Honestly surprised and caught me completely off guard as there were no written signage anywhere that states this 2% fee. read more

Rip off! Why is this place so expensive for routine service? I am being charged 3x more than a dealership in San Francisco - I mean I understand dealerships are more expensive for service but the price gouging here is absolutely ridiculous. It's just a naked money grab. I did get a discount but discount but the discount just basically covers tax. Not sure what is so special about this place that they can charge 3 times what other dealerships and competitors charge. I didn't see anything that stood out to warrant that. A comparison or receipts from my previous service should a similar set of services performed (infact i note one or two missing off of Putnam list) yet 3x more. Perhaps they survive here because they are the only dealership in the area and can price gouge and depend on those skittish to take their cars to smaller mechanic shops First and last time. read more

The first service advisor I met was Sidino Tocci shortly after I purchased my car. I have not been disappointed. Some dealers are given bad reviews for ripping customers off. I have never been pressured to buy anything that I did not want to. I have continued to go to Putnam Mazda Service on a regular basis since I bought my Mazda 3. I have no complaints. The staff is awesome. Today I was pleasantly surprised to meet a new advisor, Anvar Masgutov who gave me the white gloves treatment from the moment I arrived. Also I would like to thank Moses that came over to me while I was waiting asking if there was anything he could offer me such as a cup of coffee or water. He also provided me with the business card of Jacob Candiotti who is the Customer Loyalty Manager in case I wanted to contact him. Last but not least when I was checking out, I was pleasantly surprised to finally meet Elizabeth Tocci, the daughter of the new Manager Sidino Tocci who is learning the ropes. Putnam service team does a terrific job with routine maintenance scheduling and timely completion. Recently I got all four tires replaced along with brake pads, alignment and infotainment replaced. All was done on time. Moreover, branch manager and Paulina went out of their way to replace the touchscreen outside the warranty period as part of the loyal customer service. read more

Very disappointed- we just learnt that Putnam service NEVER put any of the last three years service on CARFAX!! We have been coming here for 9 years getting our leased Mazda serviced every 6 months without fail and never thought that Putnam wouldn't uphold their side of the bargain.
