I am a long time automotive professional. I am extremely picky about my cars and I'm overly protective of my family and their vehicles. I'm writing this review due to a specific encounter I had with Jared and Ohana at the Millbrae location. My uncle had purchased 4 wheels and tires From them a few months ago. Shortly after that he got a nail in his tire and had it dealt with elsewhere. Somehow one of the required hub centering rings got misplaced and he started having highway vibrations. He ended up going to another shop to deal with the vibrations they charged him a small fortune to rotate , balance and align the vehicle. During all of the "work" this other shop did. They removed the other 3 centering rings and never bothered to install them. Instead they half ass centered the wheels and over torqued the crap out of all the lug nuts to compensate for their stupidity. My uncle is a very kind and patient man and after paying to "fix" his vibration and having it vibrate and shake even worse afterwards. Instead of going back to raise a fuss. He asked me to inspect the vehicle. I immediately found 4 missing center rings and one wheel destroyed by being forced on crooked due to missing centering rings. At this point I was livid. I called the "shop" that took his money , lost his rings and ruined a wheel. They asked me to hold for 23 minutes then told me. "The tech is pretty sure he installed the rings. But he's not sure they'll still be there ...." Ok that's the stupidest thing I've ever really heard. Realizing that they were a dead end. I instead called America's Tire and got Jared. Jared listened to me kind of frustratedly explain that I needed a new wheel and 4 rings. He was kind , knowledgeable and efficient. He put me on hold for like 3 minutes confirmed he had the rings and a new wheel and he facilitated my being able to pick em up on my lunch break. On my lunch break I met Ohana who was also kind , knowledgeable and professional. She helped me get my parts and skidaddle in a very efficient way. Given that the so called "shop" that caused all the mess is the Firestone across the street from them. I'll say this. America's Tire is leaps and bounds better and more human and knowledgeable than the folks across the street. They took the time to help me fix the issue and they actually cared. I've admonished my uncle to steer clear of Firestone and to only go to Americas tire as a result of these two distinctly different interactions. Jared. Ohana. Dropped off the car at 10 am as a walk in for a flat tire repair. I was told the car would be ready at 12:15 pm. I showed up to pick my car up and they never worked on it. The same service woman who had helped me initially looked dumbfounded and said she will tell a technician to get right on it. It took another 45 minutes to get it done. I still tipped the technician but a lot of my time was wasted. Despite being free, I'd rather pay a local tire guy $35 to get it done in 15-20 minutes. This review is meant for a full set of tire replacements on 10/29/2025 and subsequent warranty replacement for driver side rear tire on 1/19/26. Invoices are attached highlighting the staff that helped as well as things I felt were important to highlight. Basically: the price-matching and the hassle-free warranty replacement (since damage was deemed irreparable). What isn't shown in the invoices is how attentive and considerate Mauricio (red shirt) was during my warranty replacement visit. Highlights: (1) he put my car in the system such that I would be immediately next in line as soon as the replacement tire came in, (2) spent considerable extra time with me to diagnose TPMS (tire pressure monitor) issues after the replacement, and; (3) made sure I had face-to-face contact with another red-shirt member (Sebastian) in case my TPMS issues were unresolved when Mauricio is not present. I did want to mention that it was extremely busy when I came in. It took me some time to actually get to talk to Mauricio specifically, but his professionalism was worth the wait. Lastly, I wanted to give a shout out to the technicians that actually serviced my vehicle on 10/29/25 and 01/19/26: those guys did fine by me. PS: Mauricio was right; driving a few miles fixed my TPMS issue. Bought my all-weather 70k mi guaranteed tires for a Honda insight here 2 years ago. They honor that warranty rock solid. In the 2 years I have had maybe 3 flat tires (nail, screw, random metal sharp from road). Each time, problem was diagnosed, fixed, and tire rebalanced, pressure set and reinstalled. Not one penny charged. On one occasion there was sidewall damage - which is not repairable. The tire was replaced with same brand/type. No charge. There was some minor $25-30 fee for mounting the new tire on the existing rim. No other charges. They will inspect, check pressures, troubleshoot issue or concerns: no charge. Not until they sell you replacement tires, when that time comes. It's like Christmas year-round. Wait time can be a killer *Absolutely make an appt.* Appointments always receive priority service. I just came in ad hoc today because there was time in my schedule. And I waited in line (the non-appointment line) for fully 40 minutes. I'll try not to make that mistake again. read more

It took two calls but I finally got through and Ohana answered. I explained to her my issue, she encouraged to come in asap & I drove right over. I was a walk in but Ohana did me the favor of holding my spot in line when I called so it was only a 5 minute wait for my car to be serviced. Pretty straightforward process & I walked away with 2 new tires. Appreciated the advice I was given and it aligned with the advice I got from my dad who is a retired mechanic (so, trustworthy in my opinion) The entire experience was very positive & felt taken care of. I dropped off my car at noon. I was told it would likely be done around 4:30 but was asked if it would be OK if it took until closing time which would be 6 PM I said yes. I went back around 3:30 to see where things were at and to wait around for my car since I didn't have anything better to do. They had a line of 28 people waiting for their cars to be worked on. They were telling everybody, all 28 of those cars, that they would be done by 6 PM. There was a guy who came in to check on the car that he left yesterday, they told him his car would also be done by 6 PM. Made an online appointment for a wheel alignment @ 4pm since they had my tires in-stock. Around 2pm I call and ask if I can bring my vehicle in earlier than the schedule time, and the person said that's not a problem and that it would take an hour. I come in a few mins before 3pm and check in with the front desk. The guy, Jordan, said it would be an hour (even though they had a waiting room with at least 6-8 people), "because I have an appointment". Sure, okay. Fast forward an hour and it's basically my original appointment time of 4pm and my car is still untouched. 10 mins pass and I go up to the front desk again to follow up on my car and the girl tells me my car is next to be pulled in. LOL... so I came in early, waited the estimated hour for the job and end up waiting PAST my appointment anyways. What a joke! Why do they bother making empty commitments like that? There are two separate lines, one for appointment/pick up, the other for walk-in. The situation was disorganized. I stood there for a good 15 minutes. One guy was on the phone forever, the other guy in red T (supervisor?) was busy with a customer, a taller lady who looked like just finished her break walked up to the counter and wondered which line she should help next. There were 10 people waiting in line. One guy in the walk-in line started to complain and the guy who's on the phone forever jumped in and said "we're short handed... blah blah blah." Among the employees, I noticed this Asian lady (Indian, Filipino, Southeast Asian? I'm not sure) was the most helpful person on the floor. Always running around, helping those who are in line for just picking up their cars, etc. Finally, it was my turn to be served by her. Checked in with my appointment details, performed a walk-through with my car, and did the paperwork. 5 minutes from greeting to walking away from the shop! If I could rate 0 stars I would. I came here to get an air check for my vehicle and upon arrival I did not see an attendant by the inflation station. I said okay maybe he's doing other things in the shop. After waiting for 20 mins I decided to go into the store and ask for an attendant because the amount of time I wasted without being acknowledged by any staff member is disappointing. I've been to multiple Americas Tires locations and have never experienced this until I came to this location. Don't trust their online tracking system. Our car went from still waiting for service to being complete without any indication that they were working on the car. It really messed with my plans for the day because if I had known that the car would have been done when it was, I would not have needed to rideshare to work and then rideshare back home! I also would not have had to spend my morning in traffic transporting my husband to work and then schlepping his car back to him before heading into work myself just so that he could have the car for daycare pickup. What a pain in the ass. Although I appreciate the free services offered by Americas tires including tire rotation and tire pressure checks, I feel like every time I go there, the customer service is lackluster. They really need a better method of managing walk-ins vs appointments vs pickups. Customers really shouldn't have to wait in line behind walk-ins and appointments for a 30 second pickup. read more

If you happen to find yourself here for emergency repairs, make sure to do a thorough walk around with the intake person. Mauricio is a joke. Complete salesman and will turn his back on you once something goes wrong. Technicians there appear to be just old enough to work and have very little experience, patience or skill. They managed to chip up/scraped all my rims and destroy my lock nuts/key. This place offers free tire rotation and tire pressure check which is much appreciated. I ended up also getting my tires balanced which was $40. The walk in service took about 1.5 hours - actual work was 12 min. Trackable and completed on time. There's a window so you can see them work on it. There are a few power outlets throughout the waiting room including a usb. Free wifi and restroom. read more

I needed a rim and tire replacement same day. I came to America's Tires in Milbrae because my grandparents typically go to the Concord location. Extremely glad I made that decision, as my wheels and tires were from America's Tire. Sebastian came to check out my car and actually identified an issue with another tire. I ended up needing two new Tires and a Rim. He pulled up our account and let me know I had a warranty on the tires that would cover this!! That was the best news. Definitely worth the prior investment. They also funny enough happen to have exactly (1) of my rims in stock. My total was $212!! Incredible, for two new tires and a new rim. I'm extremely satisfied with today's visit. The wait is super long I will say, but hey same day you can't beat it. It's currently 3:42 and I'm still waiting for my car. I had a nail in my tire and called American Tires to check the price for a patch. They told me they patch tires for free, even if you didn't buy the tire from them. Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, that's where the good part ends. I brought my car in, and the worker checked my tread with a tool and confirmed they could patch the tire. They told me it would take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I agreed and waited. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, they finally called me up--only to tell me they actually couldn't patch the tire because of the tread. This was confusing since they had just checked it and said it was fine. Then came the upsell: they said they had replacement tires in stock and recommended I replace all four. I went in for a simple patch, they confirmed they could do it, made me wait almost two hours, and then tried to bait-and-switch me into buying new tires. I refused and asked them to put my wheel back on. That took them another 30 minutes. In total, over 2 hours and 15 minutes wasted. Their "free tire patching" feels like nothing more than a bait-and-switch tactic. I drove down the street afterward and had the tire patched with zero upselling and zero hassle. After almost two years since purchasing my tires, I called to have my tires rotated. I made an appointment for the next day, no problem. I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment, checked-in and within 15 minutes, my Jeep was in the bay. John, the fellow in charge of my Jeep's service came to meet me to confirm that the work to be done was for tire rotation. He also said that they'd rebalance my tires. In about 40 minutes, the job was done and a totally unexpected perk happened. They polished the sidewalls. I couldn't be happier with how smooth, professional and hassle-free this all went. " We don't have any service records." I rotate my tires at home, with every oil change. Am I supposed to call that in, to let your store know? How about every time I check the tire pressure, and add more air? You need want me to call the store to let you know? Or maybe I'm getting my service performed at a different shop. Besides, what does rotating tires have to do with a road hazard warranty? There's a nail in the tire. That happens whether you rotate the tires, I rotate the tires, another shop rotates the tires, or even if the tires aren't rotated at all. 3 hours later...... "Your low tire light should go out after you drive it around awhile." I didn't have a low tire light when I drove the car in. I had a nail in the tire. I pull up to their air station. The tire has 35 PSI. Only problem is that the door sticker says 44 PSI. I look at the service ticket, which has the make, model, and PSI...... CLEARLY PRINTED ON THE PAPERWORK. The tire clerk can't read their own paperwork and just decides to put whatever amount of air he feels like. How can I trust him with the torque spec on the wheel? Did he do that right, or just whatever? Did he actually balance the tire correctly? Or just slap on some random tire weights and did whatever he wanted? No big deal. Cameras are installed in your facility and, as commonly known, footage is stored for an extended period. If the tire was indeed repaired, I ask you to publicly confirm the existence of this footage or release it in response to this request. If the footage does not exist, was not saved, or was never recorded, this will serve as additional evidence that no repair was actually performed, and that your staff was aware of this while falsely claiming otherwise and attempting to upsell a new tire. I already have clear proof that the tire was neither opened nor repaired, despite an SMS from your system stating the repair was completed. Now I am asking you to confirm or deny your actions--publicly and transparently. On April 11, 2025, I brought my Tesla Y with 20,000 miles to America's Tire (Millbrae) due to a punctured tire. The car was accepted for service, and after about two hours I received an SMS notification stating the repair was completed. At the service counter, I was told that the tire had been successfully repaired. However, the next day I noticed the tire was still losing air. Upon inspection, I found no signs of repair at the known puncture site: no buffing, no adhesive, no plug marks. Additionally, the TPMS valve cap was missing--a cap I had personally removed before the visit to inflate the tire, further confirming that the wheel had likely not even been removed. On April 15, I returned to the same location and explained that I suspected the tire had not been repaired at all. The staff performed only an external visual check, without removing the tire or conducting an internal inspection. When leak detector spray was applied to the puncture site, bubbles confirmed air leakage. Instead of diagnosing the issue, I was offered a replacement tire for $400, and they refused to dismount the tire--even when I offered to pay for it. I was told the "repair had failed," though in reality, no repair had ever been performed. I then went to an independent tire shop. This place is like the Apple Store of Tires! Huge facility with 4 car ports, the biggest lobby of any tire shop I've ever been to, and the largest staff of any tire shop I've ever been to. Despite all of this nice stuff it was still very difficult to get started here. When I entered the parking lot it was pretty confusing where to go and there was very limited parking because they are located in a strip mall. I didn't have an appointment, so I walked in and waited in line. Despite the large staff, it took over 10 minutes before I got someone to help me. After my car was inspected I was told that it could be repaired 4.5 hours later. I guess with all of the bells and whistles at the end of the day this place just cannot perform like a standard tire shop. Purchasing the tires on their website was easy and was the same price as Costco although they also price matched so that's really nice. When it was time to drop my car off it was easy and fast! There was a line of about 10 people however they had a separate line for appointments so I was first in line. I gave them my keys, they looked over my car and told me they will text me once the car is ready. Less than one hour later, I received the text! I came by and they immediately gave me the keys and I was on my way out! I wished I came here sooner cause the entire experience was so smooth and most importantly quick! The service agents are always very nice to deal with but the wait for getting help is ridiculous. Every time I go in there I have to wait 5-20 minutes to see if they can even perform the service that day. Even if you schedule an appointment it takes longer than I would expect it to - and appointments are at least 2 weeks out. I understand that they have limitations based on the number of bays they have, but they should have more service advisors available to help those in line. I don't want to wait for 20 minutes to find out they can't fix the screw in my tire. I'd recommend any other location rather than this one - it's not worth your time. The Mountain View location would have the line moving - unlike this location where there are currently 7 people in a non-moving line. Our car had a tire that blew out after less than 300 miles. We called around to the various "Top 10" tires and service companies in San Francisco Bay Area. Also, reached out to the dealership in Rockledge which is an hour and half from us given the car and tires were brand new. Called America's Tires given they were on the list and I have seen advertising for them on local television. Not sure of their customer service, products or value given were call their local number and through their "Let's get you taken care of" recording four times. When the customer service rep answered shared the type of tire we were searching for and he replied "No, we don't have that. It must be a discontinued model." I replied, "well that's kinda strange since its a brand new 2024 car with brand new tires with only 300 miles total". He responded "Oh, well those must be a brand new type and you will need to check with the dealership!".
