    Ride Height and Alignment

Two years later the Miata is no longer in my garage. Where do I still bring my cars to? It's still Elite Performance. Having purchased an Audi B7 RS4, I initially assumed that I would sadly, no longer bring my car to Elite Performance. With the B7 RS4 being an "if you know, you know" type of vehicle, it would make much more sense for me to have it serviced at a VW/Audi specialist shop. However, I remained impressed at how well they looked after my ND2 Miata and I wanted to give them my business. Since I live in San Francisco, I am now at the point in my life where I don't want to keep crawling underneath my car on the street to complete regular maintenance. So anything involving regular maintenance, whether it be oil changes, fluid flushes, bolt-on parts, etc, I will always bring my car to Elite Performance. The pricing has always been reasonable and fair for the quality of work that they do. Gary, Melody, and the rest of the team have always taken care of my cars and I can always trust them to do the job right, even with a car as rare as the B7 RS4 with only 2000 ever imported for sale in the USA. It goes to show they aren't afraid to tackle any car that shows up on their doorstep.

Finding a reliable, reputable and competitive pricing mechanic shop is hard to come by. You either get a few of those criteria, but getting them all is RARE. I came to find EP through Yelp. I had just gotten brand new tires for my 435i and wanted a shop that was an expert at suspension alignment. EP came out as a nearby shop, and many of the reviews spoke highly of their work. Melody was the first person I interacted with, and she gave me a good quote. We scheduled an appointment and everything went smoothly. Got my car within the estimated time frame and it handled so well afterwards. To my surprise, Melody told me they also do aftermarket installs. Now, I've taken EP to install some intake and exhaust parts. I couldn't be happier. I have also met Gary, and he was also nice and informative. Even though I don't live on this side of the Bay, I have them at the top of my list to go to. Top 2! My other guy is amazing, but he's more reluctant doing aftermarket. I definitely recommend EP! You will not be disappointed!

AMAZING I'm coming back for sure for work I don't want to do myself. Note they are hard to reach by phone so best bet is to message them on Facebook. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance (recommended time frame) to get my car in for alignment since it had a steering wheel tilted to the right and toe misalignment as well as a brake fluid flush and change. Asked for the services via FB and got response within 12 hours. When you enter the doors, make a right and that corridor should lead to their garage. They have a bell that alerts them when someone walks through the door. I was greeted by Melody who has the sweetest voice and a very friendly/excited demeanor. I confirmed with her that I wanted the tilted wheel adjusted and she double checked with me the brake fluid I needed. I don't know if they center the steering wheel by default or maybe that was part of the $10 difference I saw in alignment but I heard from a friend after I dropped off the car that you have to ask for it most of the time so I think I got the message across. Melody did the work for my car I think. Great to see a car girl doing great work. She also was wearing a SpeedSF t shirt which is great to see that Elite Performance takes care of cars for the track. When I got the car back, I definitely noticed the steering wheel was centered and it made a huge difference. The brake fluid swap gives me peace of mind that my fluid won't boil while driving spiritedly. Total damage: $160 for alignment (toe and camber) but this can vary depending on car (previously had another family car aligned for $150) $125 for brake fluid flush and replace with Motul RBF600

I've been going here for years. For anyone who is local and either a serious track rat or just dabbling into motorsport, the team at Elite gives you honest information and works hard to deliver the results you want. I've had bad experiences at a number of other shops and at allegedly 5 star dealership service centers where they make a mistake (which all humans do!), but refuse to stand by their labor and make things right.

Melody and Gary always make sure my car is in top shape! Pricing is reasonable, and I can generally get in fairly quickly to get my car serviced or repaired. This is hands down my favorite shop to work with

I was looking for a shop near my work to get some stuff done. Found some vouches in the lexus forums for Elite Performance. Looked a little further into their reviews and seem to check out very well. Exchanged emails with Gary for few weeks leading up to set appointment and was able to reply daily. Prices came out competitively on the lower range of what most quotes I've requested and was near my work. I went in December 2020 did motor mounts, headers, Coilovers/camber arms + alignment. Got the car back in timely manner with my request done very well. Melody and Gary were whom I saw at the shop. They got the alignment spec, ride height, and clean cutting of the rear trunk liner to make suspension adjustment available without peeling away the liner. One issue was a headlight auto height leveler was put back on wrong but it was a minor issue that was common enough when I was reading about it. Not a problem as I'm unsure if it affected anything aside from a warning light on dash but I fixed it eventually while doing my brakes. Will not deduct any points, if any anything only -0.1 for a total of 4.9/5 They wrapped my old parts very well with material I provided and was neatly placed back in my car. Good experience overall, thanks.

Took my 2019 Toyota Tacoma for alignment after i installed new LCA and spindles. Melody was very nice and helpful and took the time to ask what specifics i want done on the alignment. I'm very pleased with the end result. Thank You!

This shop is awesome and Melody was great with customer service. She called me multiple times with updates just to make sure it was ok if they did a few things and I asked them to align it within certain specs. 10/10 would recommend and use them again. I appreciate the great work and great customer service thank you guys! This was for an 08 c6z. They know what they're doing!

I'm writing this review due to a specific encounter I had with Jared and Ohana at the Millbrae location. My uncle had purchased 4 wheels and tires From them a few months ago. Shortly after that he got a nail in his tire and had it dealt with elsewhere. Somehow one of the required hub centering rings got misplaced and he started having highway vibrations. He ended up going to another shop to deal with the vibrations they charged him a small fortune to rotate , balance and align the vehicle. During all of the "work" this other shop did. They removed the other 3 centering rings and never bothered to install them. Instead they half ass centered the wheels and over torqued the crap out of all the lug nuts to compensate for their stupidity. My uncle is a very kind and patient man and after paying to "fix" his vibration and having it vibrate and shake even worse afterwards. Instead of going back to raise a fuss. He asked me to inspect the vehicle. I immediately found 4 missing center rings and one wheel destroyed by being forced on crooked due to missing centering rings. At this point I was livid. I called the "shop" that took his money , lost his rings and ruined a wheel. They asked me to hold for 23 minutes then told me. "The tech is pretty sure he installed the rings. But he's not sure they'll still be there ...." Ok that's the stupidest thing I've ever really heard. Realizing that they were a dead end. I instead called America's Tire and got Jared. Jared listened to me kind of frustratedly explain that I needed a new wheel and 4 rings. He was kind , knowledgeable and efficient. He put me on hold for like 3 minutes confirmed he had the rings and a new wheel and he facilitated my being able to pick em up on my lunch break. On my lunch break I met Ohana who was also kind , knowledgeable and professional. She helped me get my parts and skidaddle in a very efficient way. Given that the so called "shop" that caused all the mess is the Firestone across the street from them. I'll say this. America's Tire is leaps and bounds better and more human and knowledgeable than the folks across the street. They took the time to help me fix the issue and they actually cared. I've admonished my uncle to steer clear of Firestone and to only go to Americas tire as a result of these two distinctly different interactions. Jared. Ohana. Thanks for keeping it real and thanks for helping me take care of my family. Good on you !!

The Costco tech told me that one or more of the sensors was likely busted but they don't have the sensors in stock. Yeah, I probably can just manually check the tires weekly but I'm used to the sensor. Today, I talked to Izzy over the phone, the owner at Peninsula Tires . Relayed to him what Costco told me. An after-market sensor cost about $80 & OEM is about $130-150 each. There are 5 sensors. He told me to drop by their shop so they can check. All the sensors were working fine. His son & another guy checked my tire pressure on all tires including my spare. Reset the sensors & they didn't charge me for anything. Afterward, I learned the sensor itself typically costs around $10-$20. I completely understand paying for labor and expertise, but this repair took roughly 30-40 minutes, and the total charge felt excessive and unjustified. I don't mind paying fair prices for quality work, but I do mind feeling taken advantage of. If this is how loyal customers are treated, I won't be returning.
