My friend Jason recommended them, but I checked out several other shops in Fremont before making a decision. SS Customs stood out. I worked with both AJ and Tanya -- both were excellent. I also spent some time with the owner, Sharif Khan. The way he runs that business, trains his team no just in the craft, but in how to treat customers, -- you could write an HBS case study on this guy. And this is clearly a very self selective team -- everyone cares, everyone knows how to treat a customer. This is so rare today. If you want a team that takes pride in the details and delivers amazing work, take your car here. I highly recommend them. I found this place on a whim. It was time for me to do quite the amount of things. First remove a…read more3rd party wing on my car, install a replacement for a factory front lip that I broke during track day about 3 years ago, and get some wraps and painting done. So in my research, I found a a lot of shops as you would expect. Ended up choosing Silicon Valley Customs, mostly because it was close and in an area I was familiar with since I was a child. After some initial contact via text and phone calls, I setup my first appointment with SVC to bring the car in for some estimates and discuss what I was looking for. The owner was very accommodating and provided me many options for what I wanted to do. Mainly the removal of the spoiler and patching the holes that are leftover. He went over the many options they had and we managed to agree on the option that was best suited for me and my budget. No pushback and judgement at all. We also discussed the other options like installing a front lip replacement that I brought and asked for service on and wrapping the car. We came to an initial agreement and the appointment was set. And I left my replacement front lip with them to paint. Between this and the day of the appointment, I had some changes that I wanted to make to what was agreed on and the again, no problems there. Changes were accepted very easily. And for me, the big thing was, I wanted to wrap the antenna, which the owner mentioned wouldn't be an issue to do but would take longer. And I said no problem if it would take longer we don't have to do it. Unfortunately, the day came for the appointment and I fell sick out of nowhere. Kind of funny how that works right? So I gave the shop a call. The owner had no issues re-scheduling, wished me well and we agreed upon a new appointment. On the new appointment date, I came to drop off the car, it was quick and easy. They reconfirmed with me everything we discussed and I just left them my key. They had quite the few cars to work on that day as well so it took them a while to get to my car but the great thing was, they still managed to get my car back to me the same day I dropped it off. So when I came to get the car, I remember specifically that I didn't actually clear with them for doing the antenna. But they still did it anyway AND gave me the best price for it. Even though it took them much more time to wrap it because they had to remove alot of parts to get it. I REALLY appreciate them for that. Not only did they wrap what I really wanted even though I didn't specifically say, the owner gave me a SOLID price for it. That's the kicker here. All that work and still gave me a good price that even I would say is quite generous. Overall, I am more satisfied then I thought I would be. And I would be willing to come back to them in the future for any further wraps or projects!

And for the $600 I would expect the job to be professional, but he used T-taps and cheap crimp connectors, not even butt connectors as most decent car audio shops would. He installed the system wrong and I had to back to have it fixed. He then tried charging me more money to fix his poor job. I would steer clear from this shop, or if you have him touch your car please take photos of his work in case your car has an electrical fire, you can hopefully sue the shop.

Got a 05 Victory Red H2 SUT lifted there a few years back it was a 6'' Fabtech lift with factory air bags, was able to get the lift kit powered coated red of course with the help of Ben of Redline Motorsports. He also suggested I should get some red engine spray paint to give the torsion bars some attitude while they install the lift...WOW what a difference a lift doe's to such a large vehicle already I had 22'' rims with Kuhmo Road Venture MT 37.50x13.50R22 man talk about a BEAST..the lift kit complemented the wheel tire combo perfectly ... UPDATE....UPDATE..... Went in to ask (Ben) what can I do about the factory brake setup I have on 04 Escalade he said you have a number choices spend a lot on Brembo's,SSBC or upgrade your factory fronts to 07 Tahoe disc and calipers... since $ was an issue right now I said let's do the later...still kind of skeptical but this is what it breaks down too..most GMC based SUV/Truck's from what I believe 99-06 have a 12'' front rotor and 13'' rear rotor brake setup.. so he upgraded my SUV to the 07 Tahoe & Escalade fronts brakes with factory 13'' rotors and calipers and kept the rear the same..so he got me some drilled and slotted fronts and backs rotors and Performance Friction ceramic pads all the way around..what a difference the brakes made in the looks department he also went out of the way to paint the rears calipers as well... I'm fortunate to say Ben and his shop personnel John (master mechanic & fabricator) who works in the shop are good people to have when a works needs to done to any car,truck and anything with wheels at the least, so if have any questions about getting a car lowered or Jeep/SUV/Truck lifted give them a call I'm confident REDLINE MOTORSPORTS will have the best deal on the peninsula... read more

Not a DIY car guy, but after getting my stock 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited stuck in some precarious situations, I decided I needed to do some modifications to incorporate measures for protection and self-recovery into my Jeep. I became aware of some really great looking and powerful offroad accessories from OffRoad Animal, I knew exactly what I wanted to add on. However, not having the toolset to do the work, I needed some help. After some research into good places to get the work done around the Bay Area, I found Ben at ABC Toy Garage and decided to work with them. I contacted Ben, explained the work I was looking to do and Ben said its right in his wheelhouse - and that I could come in anytime; just give him a day's heads-up so he can get the right team members in to do the work. As this is my day-to-day transportation car, I didn't have a ton of time to put it in a shop as a project. Ben and team were extremely accommodating to the required work and my time schedule. And the work and love that he and his team put into my Jeep shows in the pictures below and in how he works with his clients. This place is great. 2 years ago Ben set my new jeep up, new wheels, tires, suspension... looked awesome. Now, I needed my tires rotated... so he gave me a good price, a little less than a Meineke or somebody would charge. Well, he rotated the tires, did a complete lube job, changed the oil (I didn't ask him to)... he even detailed the jeep inside and out, no extra charge. Oh, he discovered my reverse was popping out, so he put it back on the lift and fixed that too. No extra charge. He just wanted to get my jeep in good shape. Awesome. Would have cost me 3x that at a dealer. Then, he gives me a reco for a bathroom remodel contractor or "anyone else you need in town, I know everyone." No wonder he does. Good businessman, they don't make 'em like this much anymore. Hard to find. I recommend you go here if you need tires, mechanical work, maintenance, etc. He's good. read more

My son told me about this place and I made a trip down to check them out. When I got there the door was locked so I went into the shop. The guy in the shop was very helpfull. But the guy who runs the store needs a lesson on buisness. The shop man called him to see where he was at. He was eating breakfast. He walked up and ask what I wanted. I told him I just wanted look around. He told me there was nothing to see in the store. His name was Ben. I dont know if he is the owner but if he is not he sould be fired. He told me he was eating braekfast and didnt want to open the store. I was looking for a shock change out on my 4x4. The bottom line. I want to spend money. This place dose not want you to spend it. DONT wast your time with this place. Go to Four Wheel parts. There will be someone there to help you and take your money. I would have given 0 stars if I could read more

I did not have a great experience with this shop. I scheduled an appointment for a quote with the potential of performing the work that day. They didn't have time and we scheduled another week out. I dropped it off on Tuesday and they said it would be ready by Friday. My vehicle sat there for 3 weeks before they even started working on it. Once I picked it up, the invoice was 50% greater then their estimate for the exhaust work. In addition, they charged a crazy amount of money ($500) to make some minor modifications to another part. The entire part they modified was $500 new and somehow they wanted the same price to make a minor modification. The work appears to be good and time will tell, but the shop is poorly run and they will try to take advantage of you. There are other shops that provide better service, skip this one. read more

I went to another place in Burlingame because my car was acting up and I think the mechanics figured they can take advantage of me just because i was female, well anyways after i got quoted alot more than i thought, i stopped by Redline and he pluged some wire into my car and told me i only needed half the stuff the other guys told me i needed. Ben fixed it for $700.00 less and since i needed tires, i got them too and he also sent me to his friend across the street for a smog that i needed to renew my registration. I told my boyfriend where i got my car fixed and he knew about Redline from when he got his ford lifted with big tires and he said he would have refered me there, but he didnt know Ben @ Redline did that kind of work. What do you do when you want an exhaust system to flow better, look better, with better than original equipment durability, built with master fabricator quality, paying only standard level of auto shop labor charges? The guys at ABC Toy Garage are awesome! The power steering pump on my Raptor went bad, called Ben and he gave me a very reasonably priced quote and was able to squeeze me in the following day. I also asked them to flush the brake system with high temp race fluid, and mount and balance new rims and tires. Ben's team did the job right and came in under cost by a few hundred dollars of what other shops had quoted for the same work. I'm planning to do some more work on the truck and will be bringing it back to them to get the job done right! I have already recommended them to friends and family for any car/truck service needs. I was looking for a shop to level my F-150 and put respectable tires on it. I spoke with a couple of shops, but Ben at Redline was the only one who took the time to answer all my questions, provide me with choices, and then explain which one he thought was best and why. When I dropped the truck off, the work was completed on time ( less than 24 hours), and it was better than I expected. This shop clearly knows what it is doing, and is customer focused, even thought I was just looking for a basic mod. I've done some shoping around for parts for my truck and after meeting Ben and comparing prices, i felt i was able to get the best prices for my parts, not to mention, i also got a great price on the service/installation. I've since passed Ben's name on to others as i am satisfied with the work (install). At times it may be hard to get a hold of Ben, but it is mainly due to the amount of customers he deals with. But all in all, the service and prices are unbeatable. Talk to Ben before making your purchases elsewhere as he should be able to beat what you find out there! read more

Ordered tires and rims from Redline. Dealt with Ben. They took the time to go over sizing and answer all of my questions. I had ordered a set from another company and when they arrived they were the wrong size and it was a big inconvenience. Penny wise and pound foolish i was, as they say, as i wasn't saving very much to begin with and sometimes it's just better to go with a local company who's accountable. I wanted a catalytic converter guard installed on my Ford F250 and I was referred to Dan at 'ABC Toy Garage' by another repair shop. Dan was extremely helpful with suggestions for a guard design and they cleared a time slot to do the work the next day. They did an awesome job of fabricating a CAT guard to custom fit my truck and welded it in place in a couple hours. For all the work they did the price was ridiculously low - $300. I highly recommend Dan and Ben for the quality of their work, attention to detail and their great customer service. read more

Just had my exhaust system upgraded and I was very very impressed with the work Ben and his team of professionals did on my truck. They completed the job on a timely manner and the price was very reasonable. I wanted triple tips for my dual exhaust but no one had any so ABC Toy Garage was able to fabricate custom tips for my exhaust (thanks Dan) with a Magnaflow Muffler for my truck. Ben and his staff are genuine real good and honest guys. They did an outstanding Job on my 2016 F250 Diesel front and rear suspension. Ford 250's notoriously have bad original suspension and after Ben and his team rebuilt my front suspension and added Bilstein shocks it is better than when it was new. They also eliminated the "Death Wobble" that Fords get when hitting chuck holes. Good to still work with someone I can trust by a handshake and a look in their eyes. Took my Jeep in to see about getting the exhaust down pipe and front drive shaft to play nicely after a few tussles around the collector. Dan swapped in a replacement section and had me ready to go in a few hours. Per usual, Ben made sure communication was smooth and painless. My tires have been squeaking and I figured it was time to get them checked out. Total cost was ~$620 for brake pads and disks? Idk lol they can list out different parts and I wouldn't fully understand anyway. But seems like it did the job. Nick noticed an oil leak! And he was right! Another thing to worry about! But Thank you Nick for being honest and diligent! But now, back to me hating having a car.

Josh also found some other things wrong (turn signal switch) and we had that problem addressed as well. There's a deal till the end of the month for a free alignment if you purchase new shocks and struts from them with install. They use KYB struts and shocks, which is a highly reputable brand for those who are unfamiliar. For a daily driver, this is more than enough. I called Wednesday, was able to get scheduled in the following Monday, 5 days later. Dropped the car off at 8AM which took less than 5min. Got a call back around 2:15PM same day that my car was done. Picked it up, paid, and this process took less than 10min. The thing I love about C&T is how thorough they are, as mentioned earlier. They take the time to inspect the vehicle and note anything strange. This information is then passed onto the customer once they pick up their car. They even found a loose screw that was creating a small brake fluid leak in one of my calipers and they tightened and cleaned it up without my prior knowledge. Thank you so much! Even the slightest sounds the car makes, they will inspect and find the source without you having to ask. This is what the community needs, a great Toyota mechanic that is honest, straightforward, and thorough. Keep up the excellent work!

Services were completed on-time with 100% satisfaction every single time. I eventually started bringing my daily-drivers here as well (usually in the wintertime so as to not bother the team during the motorsports season). Melody once diagnosed and repaired a long-standing rear-end clunk with my G37S, probably saving me hundreds from a stealership. Tl;dr: solid workmanship, no BS, 100% honest and transparent.

I saw normal cars, high end sports cars (R8, 911 Turbos) and track/race cars (roll cage, empty interiors) so that inspired a lot of confidence.
