I wanted to share a glowing review for Brendan at McGee Toyota. He truly went above and beyond when…read moreI experienced a major car issue last month. While driving from Boston to Moosup, CT, my car suddenly lost all electronic power on I-395 near Dayville, CT. Thankfully, I was able to coast off the highway and into a Target parking lot. The situation was especially frustrating because just two days earlier I had spent $1,400 on maintenance and repairs at my local Toyota dealership and had been assured that the vehicle was in excellent condition. Several hours later, I managed to get the car started and cautiously drove it to McGee Toyota. With no appointment and after business hours, I dropped off my keys and a note in the overnight box around 11:00 PM, hoping for the best. A family member drove me back to Boston. The next morning, I woke up to a missed call from Brendan at 7:19 AM. I was amazed to learn that not only had the team already located my car and reviewed my note, but they had made my vehicle a priority despite having never worked with me before and having no scheduled appointment. They diagnosed the problem: a failing alternator. What impressed me most, however, was how Brendan handled the situation from there. He worked directly with my local dealership to ensure they took responsibility for the repair costs, given that they had recently inspected the vehicle and missed an issue serious enough to leave me stranded off a highway. Throughout the process, Brendan kept me informed every step of the way, communicating regularly while parts were ordered and repairs were completed. A few days later, I picked up the car, and it has been running perfectly ever since. Car trouble is stressful under any circumstances, but Brendan made the entire experience seamless. His professionalism, communication, and willingness to advocate on my behalf turned a frustrating situation into an overwhelmingly positive customer service experience. I truly couldn't have broken down in a better place.
