Had an initial post with 1 Star. My wife and I conducted a FaceTime with Ana regarding a Lykoi. Immediately following the FaceTime we completed the application and contract. I communicated this with Ana the same evening, though no response from her. We did not receive any response from her for 3 days, after which she said she saw my 1 star review but had a family emergency and apologized if we "felt" she disappeared. We ended up going with another breeder during the time we didn't hear from her. I explained I removed the review once she began communicating again, though Ana no longer felt comfortable with the transaction and wouldn't sell us the Lykoi Runa. This whole process was all very new to me and I honestly can say that I am so happy and blessed that I chose to do it with Ana. I'm going to update this later to be more precisely detailed, but I think it's important to at least put a minimal warning out there to potential buyers. I purchased two Bambino (dwarf Sphynx) kittens from Ana Gomez in Nov of 2014, for $2200 and $1800. I was told that one of them had been scratched in the eye when he was very small, and that the one eye would always be "a bit cloudy" but it was no big deal. Based on Ana's confidence inspiring delivery of this claim, I had no issue with this. I picked them both up in early December. Each came with a letter of health, and a vaccination record. From the moment I took possession of them, they seemed too lethargic. I took them that day to my own vet who agreed the lethargy was strange, but in absence of any other symptoms, she didn't think they were sick. I bought pet health insurance while we were at the vets. It turns out that there is a 30 day waiting policy with all pet insurance before coverage will actually begin. And if it is determined that something is a pre-existing condition (like the eye) it will never be covered. Within 7 days, they both were sick with fever, swollen glands, upper respiratory symptoms and eye infections. Two more trips to the vet, one of which one kitten (the one with two good eyes) had to stay overnight at the pet hospital he was so ill to receive fluids and be in a highly oxygenated room and monitored because he could barely breathe. Roughly $2200 in vet bills and diagnostic tests later, my kittens were diagnosed with calicivirus (which the documents claimed both had been vaccinated for), feline chlamydia (which both it turns out had been old enough to be vaccinated for but hadn't), and mycoplasma (which they honestly could have gotten at any point.) After a month of oral antibiotics, antibiotic eyedrops and a lot of stress, both kittens were healthy. For one week. And then they relapsed. And then again. And again. To date, my kittens have only been completely symptom free about a total of 3 weeks, despite giving them exceptional care, quality diet and supplements, to the point of bordering on being neurotic. The vets say that they are viral carriers, prone to chronic flare-ups. I can expect them to continue to be chronically ill. My primary vet referred me to a feline opthomologist when it became clear that his eye was not just "cloudy". The opthomologist said that trauma is in no way able to justify the complete corneal scarring that is present, or how the sclera (white part under the eyelids) never fully detached from the eye itself. He says the only explanation that is truly feasible is that the kitten suffered an extreme viral infection (like calicivirus or feline herpes) at a very young age, before his eyes were fully developed. He says that there is absolutely no way physical trauma caused the damage in his eye. The only other possible reason for the damage would be if somehow the kitten had acid poured in his eye. (Highly unlikely). So basically, Ana sold me two kittens that were sick. And did so knowingly, with a canned and inaccurate explanation for the damaged eye, and had her vet either unknowingly vaccinate them anyways, or to complicity cover up the fact that they had already been ill. I've left messages for the vet, who to date has yet to return a single one of them. Do not trust any vet certificate of vaccination, letter of health, or verbal assurance that you receive from this woman. If you must have one of her kittens, make sure that you've insured the kittens 30 days prior to taking possession of them so you don't get stuck with inordinate bills like I did. And make sure to have your own vet inspect them and run blood tests on them to verify that they were indeed actually vaccinated and don't have any other diseases. I love my little guys and wouldn't ever give them up at this point. But I never would have bought or become attached two two expensive and chronically ill kittens had I been given real information and been able to make an informed choice from the beginning. Update: The pet carrier they went home in was brand new. I had purchased it the night before. Everything for them was brand new. And no, Ana, my friend's home doesn't have cats, & has never had a cat in it during the last 5 years, nor has my own. If you're claiming the video I sent you had other cats in it, then perhaps you should reassess who you're accusing of "mental issues" instead of addressing facts pertaining to your sale of these kittens (a tactic which, by the way, is considered a logical fallacy, specifically, an ad hominem attack). Re: testing for Calicivirus after a vaccine: There is a difference between having antibodies for a virus, & an active viral infection with a markedly high viral load (which is what the kittens had not in two weeks, but under ONE week after I took possession of them). Calicivirus was the very last thing that the vets ran a test for. read more

I contacted them regarding a white elf. I was told she was 17weeks. I placed a deposit and after some additional investigative work finally found out she was 20+ weeks. I was told this was a common mistake breeders can make. (I disagree) I also asked about redness in her eye and was told it was just the picture. I also disagree on that Once I got true age I asked if there were younger kittens upcoming because I would wait. I was then offered a seal point. I asked 3 separate times with her confirmation via text of receiving the texts for video and photos. Which I was never given. At this point I became very uncomfortable as well with the request for full payment 2 weeks prior to transport. I then reached out to some experts in the Sphynx world. They also felt this was highly circumspect. I was told they were CFA and TICA certified but they are not yet CFA certified and I was only provided half of the CFA inspection form. The vet used is a euthanasia vet- as I went to website to get their reviews. When I finally demanded the HCM and other screenings- I was told the vet keeps those, that she didn't have access to them, and my money was refunded. I decided to buy from this breeder due to the guarantees given but I believe they are false as no scans etc were provided to me. I was given quite a bit of erroneous information and at this point would recommend buyers proceed with great caution. read more

I've had Stytch for just under a month after picking him up late April. He has a wonderful loving personality! Pictures do not do any justice to the real life moment when you meet your sphynx kitten. Dreams come true!! We adopted a sweet kitty from Ana. We live in Nebraska and wanted to get a kitten for our daughter for Christmas. I was more than skeptical about purchasing a kitten so far away.
