Hands down the best barbershop in town. It's a beautiful, clean, open place with a number of fantastic barbers. They have a nice bar so you can relax and have a free drink if you arrive early. I always get the same cut, usually the Gentleman Haircut but I've seen multiple people get all kinds of services. Their standard comes with a drink and styling too. i live in burbank and have for 30 years . i hv seen so many transformations . i happen to be walking in down town burbank and recognized yet another new business this was a barber shop. surprised to see it and what i saw. knowing my husband needed a new barber couldnt wait to tell him. he got his hair cut by a barber named money!!! thank you money you hooked my husband up!! he was looking and feeling good when he left. and arrived home my husband troy said he liked the entire vibe of this shop. the people, the music, the decor all of it. he liked that money took her time and cared if he was pleased and he was. i got much props for finding the place. a lot for a haircut....... but worth it for doing a great job and making you look and feel good. great job burbank great job purpose great job money ( the barber ) place a black man can go!!! read more

I was informed of this place through a friend. They kept ranting and raving about Jorge Romero and I thought, why not try him out after losing my barber. Not only did he give me an amazing fade but he knows how to cut hair. He knew how to line up the back of my head as well since it's flat . I did the VIP treatment, which is nice because you get any top shelf drink, though all I wanted was a Fiji or Evian Water since I'm allergic to alcohol. The service was friendly and he paid attention to detail. He does light chit chat, which is nice because I was fading away from coming straight from the gym to the barber. Also I live in Century City, so I'm telling you that traveling to him is worth it. I finally found my new forever barber. read more

This is a review of my first visit to Purpose LA in Burbank. I paid $65 for a haircut and beard trim on July 12, 2022. I walked in looking homeless, and Sam sent me home feeling like a new man. Sam's attention to detail is evident with one look at my fade, and my beard has never looked better. No barber before Sam has ever trimmed my wild eyebrow hairs that hang down. I came across Purpose LA when taking my daughter to taekwondo. With it being a men's salon, I figured I'd try it out. As a son of a hairdresser, I am very picky with my hair. I was greeted right away and was paired with the hair stylist Joseph. After a quick convo, he went to work. Joseph absolutely knocked it out of the park. Before I get into the details, I just want to say that Sanya is one of the best barbers I've ever come across. So my wife has brought our 3 year old son here on a few occasions over the past 5 months and each time she's raved about the service and the cuts always look great. She's always mentioned how cooperative our son was so I decided I wanted to take him myself. Turns out, maybe he just doesnt like getting his haircut with Dad. As soon as we began walking towards the chair, an absolute meltdown began. This was when multiple staff members came by and did an amazing job with helping console and calm him down. Incredible service all the way around even before starting the haircut. With the help of the staff we finally calmed my 3 year old down and convinced him to sit on my lap. I thought the tough part was over and began telling the barber, Sanya, how I wanted his hair to be cut. As soon as he went to grab the clippers, my son completely lost it and refused to allow them anywhere near his head. Now, the way I wanted my son's hair to be cut was not simple; zero sides, high fade and trimming the top which I thought wouldve been impossible without clippers. Me personally, I'm very particular about my own hair and have gotten haircuts from all over LA ranging from $40-$80. I say this because what Sanya was able to do was nothing short of amazing. With the use of ONLY a comb and scissors, and an incredibly uncooperative client, he gave my son a cut that was beyond any of my expectations. The sides were as short as I wanted and the fade was on point. You don't have to know anything about cutting hair to realize how much talent it takes to do that without clippers. I got a Swedish massage with their massage therapist and WOW. I was treated so kindly the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out. I have lower back pain and carry a lot of stress in my shoulders and Courtney was so attentive to those areas. I left feeling SO much better and will definitely be coming regularly.
