Such a…read morebummer to have discovered mold behind two shower enclosures while we were remodeling, but Voda came in and saved the day so we didn't fall too far behind schedule with the remainder of trades needed to finish remodeling! (And, thankfully for us, the mold was caused by tile not being sealed in the shower niche where shampoo/bottles/soaps are placed - the mold wasn't from a plumbing issue.) One thing we found out while searching for a mold remediation company is that pricing is all over the place here in the East Valley. And after speaking with a few realtors, it became clear that not everyone can be trusted to do the work well. For our specific situation, we weren't sure if the mold had spread under the concrete floor of the showers. Two other companies said there was no need to remove the concrete flooring; however, Voda's estimator video conferenced with his remediation crew during the free-estimate-walkthrough and they were certain it needed to be removed in both showers. Voda was right - the concrete shower floors needed to be removed so the subfloor could also be treated. Voda was not the least expensive, but they were the most thorough and inclusive of all work needed to be done -- and when dealing with mold removal/remediation, as a homeowner, you want to know it's gone. Voda's workers are certified and they treat your home as if it was their own (possibly even better because it was incredibly clean when they left!). Also, an unrelated, third party environmental company tested the two shower areas after Voda was finished -- and our shower areas passed the tests! Voda works with insurance companies to help you if you have a claim, and they also work directly with homeowners (like us) when it's not covered by insurance. Given Voda's other excellent reviews online, we can agree with all the other 5-star reviews. We highly recommended Voda's professional services!

This review is for the first one, a bedroom ceiling/roof leak that needed mold mitigation, asbestos testing and renovation. March 2025: Leak originally started as a moisture spot on the ceiling in October 2024 but my HOA ignored it. By March 2025, the ceiling had become so compromised that water streamed in like a waterfall during a massive storm. My original contact was Noah - he gave me an estimate (along with two other companies). I really appreciated how Noah was communicative, informative and thorough. And! he didn't badger me w/ phone calls & emails, like the other two companies did. He understood that I said I would take care of the situation when I could b/c I was in the middle of Massage Therapy school. I understood the "risks" of having mold & just shut the bedroom off. Fast forward to August 2025 & now we're ready to take care of the situation. Noah followed protocol of getting an asbestos test first. Luckily, it was negative. Then Spencer, their Mitigation Specialist? built a special containment room, inside the guest bedroom that sealed off the contaminated area. Heavy duty fans stayed on for about 72 hours? so the area could be thoroughly dried after being treated w/ some kind of mold treatment. Noah was available via text when I had questions - that was surprising & super helpful! Once Mitigation was completed, Noah connected me w/ Jacob at their Restoration Department. He sent over a stellar crew led by David & they proceeded to rebuild about a quarter of the bedroom - meant to mention that they had to rip out dry wall, scaffolding, etc. This crew rebuilt and then refinished the area, including re-installing wainscotting and painting the ceiling + walls. The results? This bedroom looks gorgeous! We were thrilled with how thorough/smooth ATH was w/ this process & how the renovation turned out. Avoid at all costs. Here are the cliff notes: -Referred to salt water restoration by a family friend that has referred a lot of business their way. -Get insurance approval and the work begins. Bathroom is torn apart, toilet removed and drywall is put in. -All monies from the insurance company are released to salt river restoration. I literally handed the person in charge of the job a $5k check. -Company keeps telling me they cannot complete the project because they have not been paid. -I keep sending proof of the payments including proof from the insurance company and my bank statements over and over. (Only monies not paid out are $500 that were to be paid by the insurance company once the work was complete) -Keep being told over and over they cannot find the money. -Talk to representative at the company (this is after two years) and threaten legal action. -Money is all of a sudden found. -Tell them I expect all of my monies returned as I will not be doing business with them as they blatantly lied to me about not having my money and have made myself and my wife feel like liars when they literally were sitting on our money. -Find out the person in charge of the job was fired because of this situation. Did he pocket the money and this is why it wasn't found? -Have continued outreach to the representative that keeps telling me he is taking the issue up to his executive team with no answers. -Threaten legal action again along with letting them know I will be going to the BBB, the insurance company and getting my lawyer involved. And here we are today...Two years without a finished bathroom with an exposed toilet opening. I have been beyond patient with this company and have asked over and over for them to do the right thing and give me back my money as they are holding it hostage. The only work they completed was putting up some drywall. I am fed up and will now start sharing my story everywhere I can.
