The good part was the clothes were cleaned and ready when promised. The staff were disengaged and showed little to no care about the customer. Interations were rushed and pleasantries felt forced. read more

Use them for years now I'm going to stop. The customer service has been extremely rude. Every time I called the new pick up time is 7 o'clock in the morning which is way too early. I don't even think my gated community likes vendors going through that early when I called to say that I'm not leaving my clothes out overnight, they said basically that's too bad. The young girl on the phone was rude. read more

Their prices have skyrocketed and not sure why. Two t shirts to be hemmed last week cost $60 total to be shortened 1.5 inches. Some staff were never that friendly anyway but I liked the seamstress's work. However how can they justify double the price of anywhere else for hemming t shirts? So now the t shirt cost me $60 since it was $30 to buy it. read more

I can't say enough about Puritan Cleaners. After going through the list of the horrendous local cleaners, Puritan Cleaners is by far the VERY BEST. The care they show for everything from men's shirts to high-end designer items there is no equal, no comparison. I'm so grateful to have finally found this exemplary establishment. Thank you to the entire staff. S. Bell read more

I don't dry clean often, but I knew ahead of time I was only going to look for a place that was environmentally friendly. It has always stuck in my head that dry cleaning chemicals are not only toxic to our environment, but also bad for people who work with these chemicals. I was pretty excited to find Puritan, which has been around for many years. Environmentally friendly and locally owned! Puritan takes up few storefronts in the same plaza as EVO Italian restaurant and Oceana Coffee in Tequesta, amongst other businesses. The windows are open (at least in 'wintertime'), showing complete transparency in the dry cleaning process and what happens inside. The front office doubles as a work space; this is a busy business! The woman who took my order was very nice; the whole drop off process was simple and fast. My tablecloth came back looking so much better than beforehand. Thank you! read more

Puritan Dry Cleaners - storefront sign - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Tequesta, Florida

This place used to be good, but it's almost like they are trying to be horrible now. I brought in several pieces of clothing to be dry cleaned a while back, when I returned to pick them up, five of the pieces of clothing were covered in a black powder. When I asked their employee to clean them again, they argued with me saying it was fine, but ultimately agreed to re-clean them. When I returned the second time to pick up these items, the black powder was just brushed off and smudged, they could only find four of the five items. Although my receipt said five items, they argued that it had only been four the whole time. The absolute worst! read more

Puritan Dry Cleaners - Tequesta, Florida Visiting from Connecticut to attend a wedding when catastrophe happens! Wife's dress soaked from Southwest's baggage handling deficiencies (that's another review) so we looked up Puritan to see if they could rescue a silk dress. All hope was lost until Puritan jumped in and completely fixed the problem! Friendly, reasonably priced and great customer service. They could have easily exploited the situation but, to their credit, they did not. A huge Thank You and Shoutout to Puritan. Two Thumbs Up! read more

I was charged $15 each for a cashmere sweater. In NYC, on the UES, I pay $8 for the same sweater. The prices are ridiculous and not worth it. read more

They charge you the monies, but the pick up and delivery service is super efficient and if there is some issue or problem (or you simply forget to leave your laundry outside for pick up) that requires an attendance at the storefront location, the folks there are super friendly and helpful to boot. If you are too busy to iron because you are out in the world making things happen (yo yo dollar bills y'all), these guys have your back. Word. The delivery service works best when there is continual flow of garments through the system (leave the bag outside for every scheduled pickup and you'll get pressed clean clothes back at every delivery). The system isn't designed for occasional use. Dirty and crumpled In the yellow bag shirts change Pressed. Clean. Ready. How can they improve? Perhaps a better solution for the forests of hangars and oceans of plastic that comes with the regular use of their service. Now that we are in mid coronavirus panic may not be the ideal time - but switching to reusable hangars and garment bags would certainly work for the large repeat customer base. read more

I took my dress and jacket to Custom Fit at 4300 US Highway 1 561-776-0067. She did a phenomenal job! The lines match up perfectly and she did a wonderful job taking in the sides and letting the sleeves out that Puritan made too short. Custom Fit Alterations & Taylor were very professional and my alterations were exact. Puritan dry cleaners never even acknowledged my complaint, never apologized , never called me back, never offered to pay me for the mess of a job that they had done, never offered any type of resolution. Steer clear of the very unprofessional and sub-par tailor at Puritan! read more

Saturday hours 8-2 not 4. Please correct. Puritan Cleaners awesome! Hard to find competent reliable cleans. Puritan is a keeper.

I took two bathing suits in to be altered. In both cases, she altered them wrong, and when I went back for her to correct, she said she was unable to do that because it was too much work. I asked for my money back, and she gave me a lot of attitude. And no refund. The alterations department is unrelated to the dry cleaners, which do a great job. Highly discourage anyone from using the alterations. read more

My first visit to a dry cleaner since moving to Jupiter was so bad. Bob, the owner of Puritan Cleaners in Tequesta, basically called me a liar about the age of my blouse that his employees ruined when removing a food spot. I took in the receipt to show him it was new and he was totally dismissive. This was the second time I had this blouse cleaned and it came into Puritan with a tiny food spot. Whatever they did removed the color from my blouse. This man is not honest...totally took advantage by not admitting his employee caused the damage. Don't trust your clothes with this person. read more

I come here for dry cleaning and they're always very nice. However, I've used the seamstress for a few items. This will be the second time that we had this uncomfortable exchange. I brought it in a item to be taken in which she completed. I realized very quickly it needed to be altered smaller. Went back and tried on the blouse. She spoke with very little English so it was hard to understand but basically I quickly understood that she was not willing to do what I wanted. Then she said it would cost me more ??? Frustrated, I left. Unhappy, with no refund and a sarcastic "have a good day" she said to me as I walked out the door. Rude. read more

The Team at Puritan is amazing!!! Eco-friendly, great service and attention to detail. Their pick up and drop off service makes my life easier as it is one less errand I have to run. The team doesn't just process the order, they look at the garments and advise on stains, loose or missing buttons and hems that may become undone. Gary Marcus is a total pro and stands behind what he and his team do at Puritan. They are right on US 1 which is easy to get to; but with Pick up and drop-off I dont have to. No harsh chemicals, or funny smells when the clothes arrive, just expertly cleaned and pressed and ready to wear. Puritan Dry Cleaners. . .Highly recommended and Luis approved. Luis Rivera read more

Left my son's pants to be altered that he needed for a special occasion. I came a week later to pick them up and they told me they couldn't alter them. I asked why no one called me to let me know so I could take them somewhere that could. The lady couldn't have cared less and just gave a flippant response. When a customer counts on a service to be provided, a business should let the customer know if they cannot provide the service. This place extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I will never recommend them. read more

Puritan is the best dry cleaners in the area. They do an excellent job at very reasonable prices. Through a comedy of errors, my tailor Was forced to fed-ex a brand new suit to Jupiter for my sons wedding. I frantically looked for someone to press the suit on site as I'm 7' tall and didn't want the suit traveling to any other remote locations before the wedding. These guys were phenomenal! Took it to them on a Tuesday and had the suit and shirt back perfectly pressed Thursday! Best part was it never left the facility! Couldn't be more appreciative of their efforts to help the wedding day! Use these guys!! read more

I've sworn by the quality of the cleaning at Puritan for many years, but unfortunately it no longer seems to be the case. I'm wondering if the business has changed hands or they have new staff doing the work? They apparently have no idea how to press a garment correctly, or hang it properly after pressing, particularly linen items. I took several items back to be re-done and they are still not right, so I give up. Time to find a new dry cleaner. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Tequesta/Jupiter is a seasonal area of Florida. My husband took numerous items of clothing (black garbage bag full) to be cleaned after mold was discovered in our home. He was told on Monday the clothes would be ready for pick up on Thursday. He went back to pick up the clothing on Friday, allowing an additional day. He was informed the clothing wasn't there. After going over his previous conversation on Monday, he was informed they would not be able to clean the clothes. (Remember this is a seasonal community.). He asked why no one called him. He was informed they do not maintain area codes only seven digit phone numbers. Puritan called our 7 digit phone number without the correct area code. The person who answered the phone, had no idea what Puritan was talking about. Duh? Absolutely do NOT use Puritan Dry Cleaners! You will be better off tossing your clothes in the nearest dumpster. Fortunately for us, the garage bag containing our clothing was located in a back room. No apology, no kiss my foot, just an ignorant stare on the face of the employee. TERRIBLE! read more

I have been a customer for over 15 years. just picked up my dry cleaning and 2 dress shirts were returned damaged. When I went back to address the issue a supervisor greeted me and tried to put blame on me so I left. I then returned to speak to owner who seemed reluctant to come out from back to speak with me. He quickly made excuses trying to blame me and claiming my shirts were worn out. Both less than a year old and worn about once every 2 weeks,These are high quality dress shirts that retail for over $100.00 each. He made no attempt to apologize or even offer to refund cost of cleaning. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. I guess he is okay with losing a long time customer. I will have to go to small claims court to seek satisfaction. I will not recommend this business any longer and will recommend nobody use Puritan Cleaners. Steven G. read more

Best cleaners in west palm beach! Great customer service! Great owners in Bob and Leena! Been using for 6+ years.

Well my experience started out good. Went there for the 1st time and was greeted by a very nice young lady. I explained it was my 1st time and inquired about pricing. She thoroughly went thru my items and determined what each would cost. When I went in to pick up my clothes, things changed. A different individual retrieved my items, rang them up & the total was completely different by more than 1/2 of what I anticipated. I asked what the difference was and she was annoyed. She explained 1 shirt was linen, and I explained it wasn't. She grab the shirt, looked at the label and determined I was correct. She said she would take a $1 off, but that was still much higher than I was initially told. I inquired why and she said because of the buttons. The shirt that was supposed to costs $2.59 was now $8. Before you leave anything with them, get a price, otherwise you may be over charged when you go back. If you want your clothes back, you will have no option but to pay what they are charging. read more
