Having never been here before I was looking for just meat and vegetables. Even though they had different salad bowl varieties to choose from, they were very accommodating for me in providing me just meat and greens. The manager even came out afterwards and asked me if I wanted my meat hot or cold. An addition to that they made me one of the best cups of coffee have had in a long time with coconut milk and stevia. The décor is very pleasant and harkens to a greenhouse. My salad is extremely fresh and the chicken is delicious. My husband's wasabi bowl looks equally delicious and fresh and he seems very happy with it. It's a great place and when I work in this area it was my go to. BUT I like to add avocado to my smoothie which adds to the cost an already pricey item which I'm happy to pay for. The avocado then adds volume (which I paid for) put instead of giving me the full smoothie, they dump the excess. I've asked multiple times for the full smoothie in the kindest way possible but get a super weird vibe to the point I don't go anymore. Bummed. read more

I went here in the morning to grab a smoothie. I am not a fan of smoothie or juice, to be honest, but I decided to try this since I was so curious about their "raw & organic" concept. (And also need detoxing from all the food I had during the Christmas holiday) The store is not very large, and it is located in the plaza with plenty of parking spaces. The staff was kind of chill, just letting yourself to choose whatever the flavor you like. I tried the E3 Live, which is mainly composed of different kind of fruits, and it was $9 (a bit pricey). The smoothie was really good and tasty, and I can tell it is also really healthy. So Bigby's had just closed when we got there, and we decided to try this place right next door. We like organic foods so were pretty excited to have to try it out. What a disappointment. I ordered a hot chair, my husband got a cold one, and our son ordered a smoothie....he absolutely LOVES smoothies. It was disgusting...to the point he took two sips and threw it away. My Chai was so watered down it barely had any flavor....my husband's was gritty and lacked flavor also. I have been visiting Simply Pressed for about a year now. It's a great place to grab a healthy snack on the go. The decor is very simple with some rustic touches. Everything looks very clean at all times. The staff is great. Everyone is always smiling and super helpful. There was a day when my son decided he wanted a juice. They new exactly which kid-friendly samples to pour for him. My favorite juice, by far, is the Pineapple Elixir. I'm starting to think it's everyone else's favorite as they are often sold out. In that case, my next choice is the Spicy Greens. I love the kick from the fresh ginger. If you are looking for a refreshing, filling breakfast, try the acai bowl. I went here in between a wedding and reception. It seemed like the perfect detoxing option after a trip to the candy store and a stop at Gigi's cupcakes in the same plaza. The employee who helped me seemed pretty happy to be there and I love to see that. After trying the sunshiney-named juice, he recommended spicy green (kale, celery, lemon grass, apple, ginger), which is not something I'd have chosen myself. I liked the sample and enjoyed a delicious juice for breakfast the next day. I have to say $9/bottle seems high. I expect to pay more than I do at Trader Joe's for cold pressed juice, now but that's $4. But as they make their own there, and some were $7-8. Simply Pressed is a great addition to the Granger-MIshawaka area. It's located in the same strip mall as the Wakarusa Dime Store and situated between Heritage Square and the University Park mall. In other words, it was a nice break from holiday shopping. Onto the food and drink options. Since it recently opened I think they may still be experimenting with the menu, but I hope they keep the Green Spirulina! I couldn't tell you what spirulina is but I'm a fan! My smoothie was green like a forest and sweet like a treat! It was blended with cashew milk, banana, maple syrup, the mysterious spirulina, strawberries and pineapple. I nearly finished it by the time my sister got her acai bowl. Definitely recommend! I don't know much about acai bowls but my acai fanatic sister liked hers. The man behind the counter - I think his name is Riley - asked my sister was three toppings she wanted to add and she happily obliged. I'm not sure if it's customary to only get three but I imagine you can pay more for additional toppings. Don't quote me though because I didn't ask! Came in Sunday morning for a little breakfast before getting on the road back to Pittsburgh. The girls working were super happy and friendly! I had the oatmeal with peanut butter, granola and banana. It was very yummy and filling. The oats weren't super hot, but I am a huge lover of overnight oats, so I was totally fine with it. If a person is looking for a healthy alternative to drinking slushies (that one would get at a fast food restaurant or elsewhere) Simply Pressed is definitely the place to go. They use all organic fresh ingredients to make their drinks and food, which I love! I also love the different mixtures of drinks they serve. Some of which are more on the sweeter side and others are more on the greener( veggier) side, with more vegetable notes. As far as the inside of is concerned, Simply Pressed Juice is very minimal, rustic, and simple which matches its name. However, the downside of their restaurant is the space.There space is extremely small and not ideal for crowds/ groups to hangout. Not only that it's not ideal for intimate groups either. Moreover, the most pressing issue I have about Simply pressed is that though their food and drinks are organic and made from simple ingredients........... theirs nothing simple about their PRICES!!!!! Omgosh!!! To pay what they charge for their food mainly their drinks is RIDICULOUS!!!!! In my opinion a person is better off going to Starbucks. I could've gotten two Starbucks drinks for what I paid for ONE of........their drinks!!!!!! I know Simply Pressed is organic but a person is better off taking kale ( or some sort of leaves) fruit and blending them to make their own smoothies for waaaaaay cheaper! Do the math!!! Simply Pressed drinks are delicious and I love their businesses' vision and concept, however the delicious drinks, and food they serve don't justify the cost. That's ridiculous!!! Yo. This. Place. Is. The. Bomb. Menu is simple. Acai bowl or dragon bowl (real dragon costs extra) and it comes with three toppings, and you can add additional. I had bananas, strawberries, and coconut flakes on the dragon bowl (made from blended pitaya and bananas and some other ish). It was so beautiful that I considered instagramming it but like that's kinda wack so I was like nah. They also have juices. I didn't try them because they are mad expensive but if I had, it probably would have sent my body into a delicious nutrient-induced euphoria. One minor criticism is that the blended bowl is almost too cold to taste the full flavor. I brought it home and let it sit out for 30 minutes which softened the blended base and it very much improved the taste. They also have bullet proof coffee! In Indiana! What the what!!!! read more

I have been going to simply pressed since they opened their doors. It is one of the only places in the area to get the kind of stuff they serve. Good smoothies and i enjoy their dragon fruit bowl. However if you're looking for an authentic açaí bowl this is not exactly the place. It tastes mediocre and they limit all bowls to 2 or 3 toppings- very unlike normal açaí bowl places that load you up with (at least) the standard granola, honey, banana, and strawberries and then let you pay for whatever you would like to add on top of that.
