I want to express my deepest gratitude to the team at PureDry Restoration. A while back, our family found ourselves in urgent need of a water restoration company. Thankfully, the problem was discovered shortly after it started, and within just one hour of calling PureDry, they were at our house setting up equipment to ensure the water was completely dried out. Because it was caught so soon and because it was freshwater, the team at PureDry was able to completely dry out all affected areas using their state-of-the-art equipment while also leaving a very minimal footprint. Their staff was fantastic. They were punctual, friendly, professional, and did a great job keeping us updated on what they were doing and why they were doing it. Just a great team all around. Could not recommend PureDry enough! read more

We had a sink overflow and cause water damage at a very stressful time in our lives. We were the caregivers to my elderly father inlaw who was dying of cancer. Our initial experience was pleasant and they lead us to believe insurance would cover our damages. We felt good about moving forward. For starters insurance only covered part of the mitigation process and we were left with an 8K bill that they demanded we pay or they put a lien on our house (we were fresh from losing my father inlaw at this point, so we were in a rough state emotionally. No compassion from them.) We get through the Reconstruction process painfully slow with limited communication and were left with an unfinished sink. We have tried working with them and communicating to get the sink finished but they are demanding payment for the remaining balance after our insurance payout. I get needing to get paid but I am not a fan of paying for work that hasnt even been done yet. Long story short: they give a 5 start appearance but really only cared about getting paid even if it means leaving unfinished work. My husband was out of work while we dealt with the death of his father and then experienced a health crisis himself. They do not care if you are financially strained or not. If you dont qualify for financing they just threaten to send you to collections. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that has a little more empathy for the people they are serving. Many of us are seeking out companies like this because of stressful emergencies. We do not need the added stress of being treated like a cash cow. read more

I hired PureDry Restoration in November after water damage occurred in my elderly father's bathroom. Unfortunately, my experience with them felt predatory and dishonest. The project manager who came out initially presented himself as an expert with 8 years of experience and assured me he would treat the job as if it were his own home. He showed infrared images and moisture readings, explained the drying process, and said it would require invasive work (which I accepted as necessary). He quoted roughly $6,000 for drying and estimated another ~$6,000 for restoration later. I didn't negotiate, I trusted them since he emphasized these were estimates and could be lower if the team could dry things in place. When the technicians arrived, they were actually very good, efficient, knowledgeable, and respectful (aside from minor cabinet toe-kick damage). They told me they didn't need to be invasive after all and could dry the area in place. Based on that, I expected the cost would be revised downward. Instead, the final invoice went up, to $6,600, and shockingly included photos of restoration work in someone else's kitchen, not mine. When I asked whether this was a mistake, they told me the initial estimate didn't include tax. When I questioned the project manager about not disclosing that, he suddenly shifted from "I have 8 years of experience, trust me" to "I've only been here a year and didn't know estimates excluded taxes." That did not inspire confidence. Also, 1 year is long enough to know that your quotes exclude taxes. I also requested post-drying infrared images to confirm moisture had been resolved. He promised to send them but never did. In the end, the restoration part he claimed would cost $6,000+ if I opted for it, it was completed by a handyman for $350. My advice: be cautious. Don't fall for polished presentations or assurances. Based on my experience, their priority seemed to be driving up the quote rather than delivering transparent or honest service. I felt taken advantage of during a vulnerable time, exactly when people seek companies like this for help. read more

Technicians did an OK job, but the company's communication is nonexistent. They don't notify you when you're scheduled, whether anyone is actually coming, or when they cancel. A 3-5 day job dragged on for 7 because they simply never returned. They canceled appointments without telling me--I had to call when no one had shown up by 6 p.m. They arrived at 10:30 a.m. for an afternoon appointment (the only one they kept). And when you call, they'll insist you're "scheduled," but no one ever shows. Use them only if you're prepared to wait around for days and end up frustrated. read more

As a single mom and single homeowner with a son with asthma I was so hopeful to have the 5 star service it seems everyone else has had with Pure Dry. Sadly it has been an absolute nightmare. I had a small amount of smoke damage to my living room and kitchen. The estimator seemed confident I would be back in my home within 1-2 weeks. He came out on June 18th. It is July 10 and my son and I are still not able to live at home. Things initially got delayed because the contents team accidentally locked out the mitigation team. Then by the time they regained access it was the 4th of July so things were even more delayed. I was never explained the full process and was NEVER told I would even need reconstruction because there wasn't any need to go into the drywall. HOWEVER, for some reason ALL my light fixtures and outlet covers were ALL removed throughout my entire home. Even though the damage was only in the main rooms and did NOT affect the bedrooms whatsoever. On Monday I was informed everything was finished and contents had also brought my stuff back. When I went to my condo it was an absolute disaster. My kitchen and living room were FULL of boxes and nothing was put back where it belonged. To make matters worse ALL THE LIGHT FIXTURES, outlet covers and fire alarms were NOT reinstalled. After many phone calls I was informed I would have to wait to have reconstruction department come out get an estimate and submit to insurance and then wait for an approval which can take 1-4 weeks. I just NEEDED those done. Reconstruction then said since was such a small job I should just find a different contractor and pay out of pocket so to be able to get back into my home sooner. This was NEVER even expressed EVER. I talked to the reconstruction manager as I was extremely frustrated. Jason made me feel like an idiot and was incredibly rude and unhelpful. He literally said to me "It is not our fault you foolishly started a fire with your damper closed". Jason does this for a living and I have never had a fire place. But what kind of customer service is that? It has been weeks and this was never expected or explained. My son and I just want to be home. There hasn't been anyone manager or beyond that has seemed to have any care or understanding. We can not afford to continue living not in our home and pay for reconstruction out of pocket as well. Especially given none of this was EVER explained. I was in tears for hours last night feeling hopeless this will ever get done in a timely or considerate way. My son and I just want to be able to live in our home. I bought my condo in January and did a complete renovation so this is even more devastating to handle. I just pray no one else has this experience. read more

The technician that came out was professional and helpful answering all my questions. I would highly recommend hiring Pure Dry if you are in need! read more

I received a coupon for PureDry Restoration. The Rep. was nice, and I was provided with the work that needed to be done and all was good. However, he was very adamant in scheduling an appointment, so we scheduled it for the next day. Then he sent the paperwork that had to be immediately signed ASAP. Unfortunately, I have had bad experiences so I stated that I would need to review the paperwork with my Insurance Agent. Well unfortunately, below is the unprofessional response I received. Needless to say, the company is not a right fit and I submitted a request to close the file! "Okay no worries. I will cancel your appointment. We would be happy to take care of your project and claim as we do on a daily basis for many others but I can't keep going in circles on this one. I start 3 new projects a day so back tracking is difficult. Please reach out when you are ready to let us do our work, or if you feel we are not the right fit for you that's alright I can close the file." read more

Hoping this review saves some homeowners a lot of heartache and frustration. Would never recommend. For a small leak- it took us 4 months to get our house back, thanks to Pure Dry. The original estimate was 1 month from dry to completing restoration (by the owner's brother). Here is an overview of the main issues: 1. They only care about money. Their estimators have sales quotas (you can see their award ceremony photos on fb). Therefore an estimator is incentivized to over estimate what needs to be demoed and redone. Much you don't get recovered or approved by insurance. 2. They do not get approvals from insurance before performing work despite them saying they will. We were out $3k at the end. And instead of working with us and insurance to negotiate and resolve it, they threatened to put a lien on our house if we didn't pay it. 3. They have multiple up charges and despite the material you choose being $2, they will charge you the amount they submitted to your insurance company which is around $7. This is why they discourage you to buy your own materials. BUY YOUR OWN MATERIALS! 4. They lowball their subcontractor so vet the subcontractors you get. They are incentivized to get cheap labor so they can keep the difference. We had a couple of guys who used to be apartment maintenance, and for the difficult things that they couldn't do, pure dry would hire an actual GC and then up charge you for it saying it's "specialized work". Overall, PureDry wasn't what we had hoped for. Frustrating that this is why it's so hard to trust anyone in this industry. read more

It's been over a week since they made holes in the floors and ceilings of my house. Before doing their remediation work they gave the impression that they would fix them, but they've been dragging their feet on even getting me an estimate for the reconstruction work. It took them five days between the drying process being finished and them sending someone out to inspect the reconstruction work required, and I was told I would get an estimate within 24 hours. Another 3 days later and I still haven't received the estimate, let alone any kind of start date on the reconstruction work. I cannot move forward with my floor install until this is done and PureDry are very slow to repair the holes they've left. read more

When we initially tapped into PureDry for fire restoration and Eric came to our house, he was such a calming presence in a really crazy time! We learned after he left that a close family friend had a connection to him through her family member and that also made us feel good! We met our restoration team and they were wonderful and I had a "one to watch" identified early on as a great asset to the team! Things went sour once the big clean was done and we were copied on the massive bill to our insurance company. It was 53 pages and one glaring error had us going through it with a fine tooth comb to be sure the insurance company wasn't getting screwed. The glaring error was that blinds were taken down, cleaned and rehung. Interesting! You see, we had 25 blinds and that was one area where there was no discrepancy between our Adjuster, contents company and PureDry...they could not be restored/cleaned and were to be replaced. They most definitely were not cleaned and rehung but stashed (dirty) on the floor of our garage. Our dishwasher was supposedly removed and put back but we saw obvious smoke lines in there. The master bedroom had a wall removed...so there was known damage that could not be cleaned and yet they completely missed a can light above that area as well as the ceiling in that room. Our contractor was the same that built our home and he was shocked the wall was removed in that room knowing the type of insulation used. So much for this "super thorough clean" we were promised! I had to laugh bitterly recalling our crew saying the slow pace of our contents company allowed them to be extra thorough in our upstairs :'( We gave all the discrepancies to the insurance adjustor in a timely manner and were shocked to hear not all were removed. It was such an insult as we spent a lot of time going over the 53 page bill. The worst lie PureDry refused to own up to is that they vacuumed our entire garage and had hydroxyl machines set up etc. Huh! That's really interesting considering our garage is FULL of contents from our home we emptied so that PureDry wouldn't be halted with the restoration. There's no way they could have vacuumed let alone set up their machines. A thorough vacuum would have surely eradicated rodent droppings ;) Their before and after pics show every single item on a shelf in exactly the same place ..right down to a crinkled wrapping paper roll...Please. I'd invite the crew back to tell us to our faces that they did all these as areas that they so obviously didn't, but the trust is gone and the joke's on us. In our entryway it was clear where they wiped their solution and even more clear where they didn't. My fireplace bricks have primer on them in places. The bill claimed two coats of primer...now that's a tough one to prove, but we find it hard to believe the same spots were missed not once but twice! My crown molding in my dining room was primed and there are thick drips meaning more work for someone else to fix. The crew laughed telling us they aren't painters...maybe you should have left that to the professionals instead of biting off more than they could chew...oh wait...bill padding! They even billed $1000 to remove wire shelving from my master closet. I was FUMING when I read this line item as my husband and 9 year old son removed this shelving only after confirming with our Crew Chief the job was finished. Fortunately this erroneous charge was removed after we involved our adjustor. It was embarrassing having subcontractors through for our renovation as they each found something different and the weren't even looking for it. I'm still finding ash in light switches that were removed for cleaning. We LOVE hiring and supporting local whenever we can so this was a tough pill to swallow. Tonight, 9 MONTHS AFTER the "thorough clean" I couldn't figure out why my dining room lighting was dim...guess what!?! ASH in the light they "cleaned". Judging from other reviews PureDry may be better suited to water restoration than fire. Other than our attic and taking down our kitchen and family room ceiling, we wish we had thought of another solution to avoid this mess. I am personally saddened the crew would have lied about the work they did (and didn't do). I was here every day and most days, especially in the early weeks, interacted with them. Once our contents were out we were still here daily, but typically 315pm onward after they had left. It's really hard to see things for what they are when you are in the midst of a chaotic and extremely stressful situation. Now that we have more clarity and have moved on it's clear both we and our insurance company were significantly taken advantage of. I have a hard time believing our crew was responsible for the gross billing discrepancies, but not sure who else the information would have come from. How disappointing. The final check was issued by our insurance company to PureDry and us, but we were never contacted to sign off on it. Fishy. read more

PureDry was great for our water restoration needs in early January. We had water issues in the kitchen and bathroom, and PureDry restoration team came out and removed parts of the kitchen cabinet and bathroom tiling before the drying process began. The drying with fans took a week or so and David, Jonah and team did a great job monitoring, checking in with us. Jonah went out of his way to make us feel calm even though the event was otherwise disruptive, and they were generally accountable. The team also suggested a couple of other places in the house to fix up unrelated to these water damage issues. We felt very well supported by the PureDry team. read more

I hired Pure Dry to remove mold in my master bathroom in October. They did a good job removing the mold. It's now the end of January. Nearly 4 months after they took my bathroom apart. My bathroom is still not put back together. They gave me a lot of excuses for not sending someone to finish the job and put my bathroom back together. Excuses from covid to the manager is not in today and others. When they finally sent someone to put my bathroom back together, the person who did the job put the tile in very wrong and didn't properly grout it. A week later Pure Dry finally sent someone else. They took out the bad tile job. That was over a week ago. They left and have not returned. I have not heard from them and they don't answer their phone so all I can do is leave a voice mail. My master bathroom is still taken apart and I have no idea when they will finish the job. I paid them in full. They have my money but I don't have my bathroom back. WARNING DO NOT WORK WITH THIS BUSINESS! They will take your home apart and make you spend months begging them to finish the job. They are thieves. They took my money but I have a feeling they have no intension of finishing the work. I'll probably have to hire a lawyer to sue them to either get the work done or get my money back. read more

We used PureDry for a water pipe that burst in our hallway bathroom. The mitigation team was very responsive and removed the damaged drywall, flooring and cabinetry. They were polite, professional and courteous. We were then contacted by the restoration team who walked us through the process of putting it all back together. Our project manager was very helpful throughout the ordeal and had everything taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs this kinda of service. read more

Our toilet flooded at the end of the afternoon. Floods are no fun, so I was really glad to have Pure Dry to help. They came in that same night to setup a dehumidifier. The next day, they started the service to dry everything. They came to monitor progress every day (except Sunday). They even made the exception of coming on July 5th (a holiday)! Their service is impeccable! All the interactions with the workers were amazing (from phone to in-person). Big special thanks to Heath, Kaleb, and David! They were all very competent, thorough, and very professional. I really appreciate it how they would keep us informed of the plan and explain things to us. They also were really careful with the house and tried to make as little damage as possible. This will definitely help us with our general contractor service. Also, I really appreciated how everyone wore masks at all times. Everything was very transparent and I felt like I couldn't have made a better choice of company. This has been a terrible company to work with. Don't believe a word Eric says when he comes out to tell you what they will do for you. Waited a week for them to start the work, then they showed up for a few hours and didn't see them again for two days. This is something Eric specifically told us would not happen. When it did he was just like, "well, we're busy." Two days of work, then they disappeared again for two more days without any explanation or communication. When we finally reached Eric he said he wasn't assigned to our job anymore. But the person he said was responsible also wouldn't call us back. Plus, the crew is different almost every day, and each one says they have no idea what was discussed with the previous crew, so there is no continuity in the work. Stay away! read more

We had a water roof leakage situation and we called puredry , they responded the fastest. Justin came the next day and took care of us. Because our house is less than a year and half old the roofer tried very hard to find the issue, Justin And the roofer from another company worked together to water test and found the spot he had to weld to fix. They also communicated on when he should come back since the roofer has to fix the problem. The next day he came over , cut the wall and tape everything off. We had the humidifier and fan running , the whole process was easy except for the nose of the machine. My husband and I both work from home and drove me insane lol, I took time off work that week. Just came daily to check on us and let us know when he is heading over which is great. Everything went smoothly and we will call them again, hopefully not again anytime soon lol. Also in the end there was a mistake on our bill which caused it to be over estimate but Justin quickly corrected it with supervisor. Definitely great service and nice people who can get job done. As for the price, I am not sure how much it cost to dry but that photo bellow for drying was billed out to be 1500 ish if that helps for reference on pricing read more

I am especially grateful that they worked tirelessly as an advocate with our insurance company, USAA, to make sure every single thing was covered by insurance. I have never had that happen! I can not say enough about the professionalism, quick response and light hearted spirit of this company! I can't speak for everyone at this business, BUT Beau and Nathan are AMAZING! My husband and I, along with my pregnant self (fast forward to my two-nager in tow!) have been through our own personal hell in the last two years, having been had by not one but two contracting companies and taken for thousands upon thousands of dollars. To say I am hesitant is an understatement, gun shy would be a better word...or even turned off completely by any contracting type business at all, let alone letting them come into my home. I had a leak post snow, didn't feel comfortable with the company my insurance company sent out-but felt trapped with them as I didn't know anything when it comes to water damage. I met Nathan in Costco after offering to cut in line with one very lonely fruit tray in hand (now I am thinking he was taking it to treat co-workers being as that is the type of guy he comes off as!) and me having a toddler filled grocery cart and time to spare. I saw the logo on his shirt and decided to ask for a card and told him tidbits of our mess. For one, these guys understood I am currently a riding solo mom of a crazy toddler, and a house aggressive Dog while dads at fire academy- they both came when I was able to fit it into my crazy life. TWO- I could TEXT! If you're a busy working mom, a random text to book a needed appointment is a lifesaver. Nathan had me all set up without having to make a phone call, or answer while I had a sleeping baby on my chest. THREE- I got HONEST trustworthy opinions without having to shell out more money- and the wonderful guarantee that they'd be back if the issue persisted after I did the corrections MYSELF! I would trust these guys in my home to do work, without me-that says a lot about them! All and all, I had a great 30 minutes with these guys and appreciated all their suggestions and banter. I can't say they'll laugh with you the same-but if you open your home to them I am sure you'll be just as tickled with them as I was. Thanks guys! read more

We had flooding in our kitchen, and the first daunting step was just finding a company to help. I'm so very, very glad I called Puredry. Puredry from start to finish was fantastic. The quality of their work was thorough, efficient, and professionally done, and they monitored the process every step of the way. I also can't say enough about their customer service. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and who came to the house were not just friendly, but knowledgeable, patient with our questions, completely professional, respected and cared for the work they did, and made the effort to make sure we knew we were taken care of. PureDry is a scam. I called them out for an emergency sewer backup. They had me sign something on a screen I could not read. They repeatedly refused to give any pricing info or estimates over the course of weeks. Insisting the city would handle the charges, they continued to refuse to give me any information. Several days I went to check their work and found they had machines on site that were not even plugged in, dehumidifiers that have a tube that is meant to go into a drain instead spilling water back onto the floor, e.t.c. They took much longer than needed, claiming they had too many other jobs so could only spend a short amount of time at mine, yet charged additionally for each house visit. The whole job was overcharged by about 3x the normal Seattle rates. It is also required for a contractor to provide quotes up front, especially when asked! They continued to assure me that the city would handle it directly with them and that I didn't need to worry about it. Of course, the city does not move quickly. Pure Dry started harassing me and threatening me. They threatened to put a lien on my home if I didn't pay out of my own pocket immediately. On top of the lies about equipment used on the invoice, the people they sent out to do the work were extremely unprofessional. They hit my water line, did not connect the earthquake straps on my hot water heater after moving it, broke my tub and countless other things that should not have been affected, set off and ruined my smoke detectors by leaving dust when they were supposed to have cleaned up (when informed their response was to remove all smoke detectors!!!), and one of the workers wasted time that I was apparently paying for to tell me about how he saw ghosts despite me telling him I had no interest on hearing it. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor or any business. Run from them like the plague!! read more

Terrible, don't trust them! They didn't finish the job and charged a fortune! We need to hire a company to come reinstall insulation they ripped out/ruined and didn't tell us about. I worked with PureDry on a sewer backup that happened in my house lately. Very large portions of my house were affected.
