Bina and her team are miracle workers! I was in the hospital for an extended period of time. While there I had an EEG of my brain done where they had to put leads on my head and the only way to stick them is with this gel that turns into a cement on your hair when it dries. It made my hair very knotted and impossible to do anything to it. It looked like I had a birds nest for hair. Before going in to see Bina I was told to put coconut oil in my hair to help get the cement out and it would help loosen up the hair to make it easier for the knots to come out. My mom called Pure and spoke to Bina and showed her some pictures she said she would do everything she could to help with my hair and she sure did! I was worried they wouldn't be able to get all the knots out and I was going to have to get a very short haircut that I was not looking forward to. When I got there, I had 3 women helping to get the knots out. Lupita, Flo and Bina together spent about an hour and a half getting all the knots out with highlighter combs. They were very careful and there was minimal hair pulling. Afterwards, Lupita washed my hair which felt great considering it was the first time in weeks anyone could run their fingers completely through my hair. Bina was the one to cut and style my hair and she did an amazing job! My hair is the best it's looked in a long time and I highly recommend seeing her and her girls! read more

I was WAY overdue for a haircut thanks to the global pandemic. I found a Groupon for a haircut and conditioning treatment and decided to give the salon a try. Jody did an exceptional job at giving me a haircut with face-framing layers. She really took her time to make sure that it came out perfectly. I have psoriasis, and she took extra care to avoid applying direct heat on my scalp. I walked out of the salon with beautifully blown out hair and a haircut that I can't wait to show off on my Zoom calls this week. read more

This was my first time at the salon and I purchased a Groupon for a conditioning treatment and haircut: I wanted to try a new salon since I just moved to the area. There were a lot of clients when I got there and it seemed like a lot of them were regulars. Jody, my stylist, greeted me and took the time to get to know me and talk about my hair. The conditioning treatment was supposed to be left in for 20-25 minutes but they left me in the chair for an hour. Jody was great cutting my hair and took the time (a lot of time) to style it perfectly. My appointment was at 930 and I didn't leave until 12. After telling her I had psoriasis she changed my conditioning treatment to accommodate my condition. It's only been 1 day and the itching has stop, scalp in cleaner n what a shine. I needed a pick me up and wow that's exactly what I received! They use Aveda hair products which are natural and have a wonderful invigorating fragrance, like a botanical garden. Flo did a wonderful shampoo and applied a protein treatment which sealed my ends along with a scalp massage, she had my head tension melt away and then had me seated with my stylist Julie, who did a lovely smooth yet bouncy blowout on my curly mane. This has been the best haircut I have ever gotten! Gloria thank you so much! I highly highly recommend this salon! Gloria was so awesome! She washed my hair carefully and thoroughly with the most amazing smelling shampoo, put a protein treatment, and then gave me a haircut and a beautiful blow dry! She also put some serum and made my hair so soft and shiny, I love it! She really took her time without rushing at all, (which is so rare) even though I was probably her last client for the day and they we're going to close soon. I had a great experience at this salon!! Glory cut my hair (I got some inches cut off, got layers, etc) and she did an amazing job! It's been a while since I've been to a hair stylist and actually loved my cut afterwards.... but I love my haircut! She did a great job at cutting my hair at the length I wanted it at, and the layers look amazing. Not to mention Glory as well as the rest of the staff was sooo sweet. Flo, Glory, and Priscilla are all so friendly and truly go out of their way to help you have a great experience. They even offered to stay open late or come in on an off-day just to accommodate for my mom! Priscilla and Glory both had a balayage in their hair (that they did themselves) and it look gorgeous-- so I would definitely recommend them for dying as well!! I've been meaning to review this place for months (along with several other places) but am finally getting around to it. I bought a groupon for 3 microdermabrasions. So far I have only used my first one which was back in November. That was also the first time I was at this salon. I spoke with Martita the receptionist over the phone to make my appointment. She was there when I went in person and was very warm and welcoming. While I waited for my appointment she offered and made me coffee. Soon I was brought into the back room with my facialist. I feel so bad but I can't remember her name at the moment. She was also really very nice. She was having trouble with her microdermabrasion machine. It was a different machine than she was used to. It really took some time before we actually started because she had to get a different machine. She was extremely apologetic for it. I was totally fine with it. I get it. It happens. During my microdermabrasion she was really very friendly and explained the different things she was using on my skin and what some options are to use on it. This was my first microdermabrasion so I was a little nervous but she put me at ease. I really had a good experience at this salon and will obviously go back again for my next two microdermabrasion I have left. I will likely continue to use them after that as well. Also, I was chatting with martita after my session about the salon and how I thought it was new and what not. We went over the different services they offer. She was so sweet and gave me a card for a free blow dry with Meghan to try out more of the services pure salon has to offer. I thought that was really nice of her to do. Found this place from Groupon. Loved my hairdresser, Jody T. She was amazing. When I first arrived, I was very skeptical. First appointment of the day, and the second one in the door. Did not get addressed by any staff for several minutes even though they saw me. Place was a little messy/dirty for just opening for the day in my opinion. However, Jody changed my mind. Fantastic place! I have been there twice and have nothing but great things to say. First time I was there, I went in for a color and cut and was quickly greeted and was offered coffee or water. All the stylists are friendly and welcoming and damn talented. Laura, my stylist, is wonderful with color and stylist. The 2nd time there I was in for a facial and wow! You will never have a facial like that in your life. They sit down with you tell you what your problem areas are and what they recommend. They will also listen to your concerns. Bina was cutting hair in the city for years before moving to NJ (always in an Aveda salon) She's not only talented and passionate about what she does, she's also an extremely nice person! The place is very overpriced. I got a basic trim, no blow drying or anything. Was in and out in 8 minutes total. The charge was $60! Are you kidding!!! I asked again to make sure I was hearing correctly. But it was $60. It is very basic salon, they use aveda products but still. Wonder how much it would've been if they blow dried my hair too. Went for a cut and color. Love love love this place. The receptionist was very welcoming, took my coat,offered me coffee, tea or water. To me, customer service is important and everyone made me feel comfortable and confident I would get a great cut and color. My stylist Bina was amazing! I went to this " pure salon and spa" to have my brows wax and tint done also my eyelash extensions and I had the worst experience ever, resulting in a bacterial infection in both of my eyes, causing me pain, redness, swelling and mucopurulent discharge. I needed to go to the hospital to get my eyes check which ended very pricy. I felt okay with the brows results at the moment but within 4 days the skin around my brows were peeling so badly and also the color was gone. The eyelash extension session was very uncomfortable and I told the lady that the patches were itching my eyes (Of course! The patches were itching my eyes horribly because she was using clear tape!) Very unprofessional! At the moment of paying for the extremely bad and slow services, they charged me an extra $10 just because they think they can take advantage of people and adjust prices. Preferible, pay at front or better choose a different business. P.s: I called them after the hospital because this is a matter of health but they basically ignored my call and probably they still using these "eye patches" (clear tape.) "Pure Salon And Spa" has NO respect for costumers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NO PURE BUSINESS FOR YOUR OWN SAFE! read more
