Flight

The ratatouille empanada was awesome! And vegan! I had a flight. Every beer was good. The smoothie was REALLY good. The service was awesome and my 20 yr old said she dug the vibes. She had Caprese. Empanada was delicious too. . My daughter drove and I didn't even finish my flight . Great bang for your buck.

We originally stopped by Pure Brewery in San Diego for one thing: the beer. Specifically, Rain -- a crisp, refreshing brew I've enjoyed before from a can, but this was my first time having it fresh on tap at the brewery. And wow, it did not disappoint. Light, super drinkable, and perfect for a warm San Diego afternoon. Ironically, despite the name, it'd be just as perfect on a rainy day. It's one of those beers that just works in any weather. And then came the unexpected highlight: the empanadas. Offered at the bar on behalf of Empanada Kitchen, these were seriously next-level. We tried a few and loved every one: * Sweet Corn & Basil: Total standout. The corn tasted super fresh, like it had just been cut off the cob, and the basil with béchamel brought this rich, savory umami flavor. The crust was golden and perfectly flaky. One isn't enough -- especially with a little hot sauce on the side. * Chicken: Packed with deep flavor from the sofrito (onion, red pepper, tomato, garlic). It tasted like something slow-cooked and homemade, wrapped in a perfect pastry shell. * Ham & Cheese: Classic, juicy, and super satisfying. Think gourmet grilled cheese vibes in empanada form. The ambience at Pure is also worth mentioning. Whether you're inside or outside, it's a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy. The main room is cool and comfortable with air-conditioning, there's a secondary indoor area if you want something quieter, and the outdoor seating is spacious and laid-back -- ideal for soaking up the San Diego sun with a cold beer in hand. We came for the beer and ended up getting a full experience. If you're at Pure and see the empanadas available, grab a few -- you won't regret it.

Headed to Pure to try their Pantera release - an imperial stout with coffee and coconut. DELICIOUS! Tasting room serves hot empanadas so the lovely smell of spicy tastiness was quite the temptation. We had just eaten so maybe next time. Staff was extremely friendly and clearly knew the regulars who came in by name. It's not a large tasting room but several outdoor tables are available as well. Loved their use of a projector and wood panels to make a huge "tv".

While searching for a local stout came across the Chocosarus Rex. Loved the naming convention and knew I had to hit this place up. Been there plenty of times since and have never been disappointed. It's a rather smaller venue - but there are plenty of seats and it's a bit hidden which gives it a special atmosphere. Service has always been top notch, I've had plenty of discussions about Beers on tap - and have found some hidden gems. Most recently being their In for the Night - Brandy Beer. Seriously was one of the best Beers I had this year. There is always plenty of options and I've done a couple of flights - never found a bad Beer. There is generally a food truck available - which you can find out who's there on the website. I've had Tacos and Pretzels and never been disappointed by the food selection.

This place has great beer, one of the best in the area. I also enjoyed some of the food trucks they had. However, they just recently changed to only serve empanadas which was very disappointing. I tried a few different ones and they were not good at all. Please bring back food trucks!

This was an excellent brewery in a quiet part of town. There are other breweries within walking distance and there is also a food truck to alleviate any cravings. A great place for friends to hang out.

The place is a bit small but the vibe is great. Drinks are good and service is friendly.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. liked how there was two rooms, took the quiet one, both had bathrooms. Food truck wasn't there when I got there so gotta try it again one day. got the flight and was recommended all the new batches. I usually dont like cider but once there was a tree was nice and made a great start to the notes, as the staff was knowledgeable the build up combo was nice too, cloud mountain on the fourth note was memorable. but what was really interesting was the final sonora. the aroma was gently/shockingly good but the contrast to the taste was like woa. i think the order of notes made it better and a good finisher. got a good buzz and good time.

I was just visiting San Diego and decided to check out Pure Project--easily one of the best decisions of my trip. From the start, Ted and Inden made the experience unforgettable. Ted walked me through the tap list with genuine passion and knowledge, and Inden made the space feel warm and welcoming. Even as an out-of-towner, I felt like I was part of the community for a moment. The beer? Absolutely phenomenal. Each pour was thoughtfully crafted--whether you're into hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, or something experimental, there's something here for every palate. You can truly taste the quality and intention behind every brew. If you're in San Diego, whether you're a local or just passing through like me, Pure Project is a must-visit. Amazing beer, great vibes, and people who clearly love what they do. Cheers to Ted, Inden, and the entire team at Pure Project!

Came back on a wed night and it was still pretty busy. Not sure when they added it but they have even more indoor seating now in a small space to the right of the main tasting room. Definitely a nice addition for cooler nights where you don't want to sit outside. We got the super beta ($8.50 for 16oz) and the Chocosaurus ($12.5 for 10oz). The super beta is essentially a hazy IPA. I personally just find theirs pretty middle of the road but still enjoyable. My partner liked the Chocosaurus and it wasn't too sweet. It definitely drinks heavier though and packs a punch at 12%.

I had to leave a review right away bc I was so impressed by this place. First of all, they are…read moreextremely dog friendly. The inside is gorgeous and there's a spot especially for dogs outside. Their outdoor seating with patio is beautiful! This place is absolutely divine! At this point, I dont really care about how the food tastes. Lol! Let's start off with the one problem i had with this place. The parking!!! It took me 20m to find parking and im not about to park my car on the street. I have precious dogs! Lol kidding. I just couldn't find any parking on the street or in the block! I suppose i came during lunch which is probably really busy. When I left, there were quite a few opened parking spots. This place is connected to an apartment complex surrounding retail stores. The leasing building is right next to Gravity Heights. I used to rent a 4k+ a month apartment in a retail area and let me tell you, its a hassle to find parking and not take a retail parking spot without having your complex email you everyday about your car potentially being towed lol! I understand this pain. Now that we are past that, let's get to why this place deserves 5 stars. The service is excellent! My server came around at the perfect times and they seem to really care if I enjoyed my meal! The stellar atmosphere with attentive service is enough for me! I got a gravity burger protein style which I dont think did the burger justice. I was going to eat with my husband later at a Vietnamese restaurant and I can only choose one carb for the day. My diabetic life is tough! Lol. I chose the Cesar salad to go with my burger. My burger was delicious bc of the caramelized onions. I didn't really taste a sauce in the burger but the excellent bacon with the much needed caramelized onions made the burger fantastic! The IPA hazy beer i had with my meal was also light and mellow. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and meal. My babies also enjoyed their burger! The weather was perfect today and it was a nice time and to think I was not going to eat here bc the parking definitely was a huge deterrent. Next time ill bring human company!

Decided to stop by here to try out their happy hour and was not disappointed. Parking was fairly…read moreeasy and got a spot right outside the restaurant. We got sat right away in the happy hour area. As we were walking in I noticed the decor looked really nice and the ambience of the restaurant felt clean and modern. We ordered some happy hour cocktails to start and they were really strong (but tasty) in my opinion. Maybe I'm just lightweight though. We also ordered some oysters, the shrimp aguachile, and the smashburger to share which were all tasty. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and checked up on us. Overall a successful happy hour visit and would visit again as they seem to have a rotating menu.
