There was a rocket pop flavored beer slushee that I sampled but it was too bitter so I opted for real beer instead. The Bees one and an amber option on tap that day were not what I expected. One even tasted like an IPA, but was not labeled as such. Props to Duck Foot for hosting local bands and community events - will give the beer another shot next time I attend an event here.

It's a great spot to watch a Padres game, sit down and play some games, or just hang out, talk, and try a few new beers They have several beers we already know and love, but one of my favorite things about AleSmith is coming back to see what new seasonal beers they have. We especially look forward to Oktoberfest season every year, and somehow we almost always end up leaving with a new glass too And I can't leave out one of the main reasons we keep coming back: whenever Zoe's Place food truck is there, we're there too The food is AMAZING. Our favorite is the sampler because you get a little bit of everything, and it's the perfect amount to share between two people while having a few beers. You both actually get to eat well without ending up way too full, and everything we've tried has been delicious. The space itself is huge and such a fun place to spend a few hours without feeling rushed. Whether we're there for a Padres game, Zoe's Place, a seasonal beer, or just one of our usual favorites, we always have a good time. Definitely one of those San Diego spots we keep coming back to!

Part of a surprise birthday party for one of them, and they'd gathered all of us for a reunion. The front area was pretty full. It was loud with activity, but the staff was awesome and brought over a few tables and barrels for us to use for a few hours. It was definitely warmer in this space since the air conditioner is not connected, but it was great to be separated from the crowd and hear each other better. We were closer to the axe throwing and golf/soccer simulator too. I heard there is a small arcade in the main dining/drinking area. There is a charge to throw axes, but it was already reserved/booked until about 4-5 pm and our party was wrapping up around 3 pm. There's no kitchen, but food trucks are parked outside for anyone who is hungry. The nachos, burgers, and pretzel bites were very good. Restroom are located in that area between the main space in front and where we were in the back. Clean rest rooms. I saw that there are some rooms on the second floor, accessible by stairs, but I saw an elevator too. A lot of parking spaces. Handicap parking located close to the entrance with a ramp to access it. Since we did not gather in the main area, I did not get to check out the tables and spacing thoroughly. From this visit, Alesmith looks like a great place to gather and kickback with adults with good eats and brews. Not too many kids or kid-activities, but there's no restrictions on having kids there. Though I'm not very good at it, I enjoy trying my had with some trivia. Anyway, we met up with friends there on a Tuesday evening at 6PM. The trivia was just about to start, and we had a few moments to get some cider. They don't serve food, but there was a food truck there. Our friends ordered pizza from a place nearby. During the night I tried two ciders: Sky and Dry, and a watermelon. My husband had a banana cider that he enjoyed. My favorite was the Sky and Dry, as it was refreshing without being sweet. Trivia was fun, and happens every Tuesday. Our friends reserve a table for their team each week. It was really hot that day, and it's probably not the most comfortable place to be in the heat, as tables are set out on the lawn with limited shade. But, after the sun set, it became quite pleasant with a breeze. We will probably be back, as we received tokens for free ciders as a part of one of the winning teams. The one thing that was a bit challenging for dog owners, and there were many there, is that there were no trash cans around the entire business park. The one outdoor trash can I saw at Newtopia had a sign that said "no dog poop". It is tough having a dog-friendly spot with nowhere to clean up after your best friend. All in all, I enjoyed Newtopia and our time at Trivia night.

All four were enjoyable, but the Old Mission Lager was my favorite that day because of its crisp, refreshing flavor. My companions enjoyed their choices as well.
