Even though I had no appointment, they saw me immediately, listened to my concerns, and promised me an estimate the same day. When the estimate arrived via email, it clearly listed each item, along with pictures showing the damage or needed repair. They also prioritized repairs that needed to be done immediately, and showed me items which might be needed in the coming months. The repairs were accomplished faster than I thought they would be. My insurance took a while to send the supplement over to JJ, but once JJ Auto Body received it, they got started right away, which I really appreciate. I decided to give them a shot after such an incredible experience getting my windows tinted at their other shop. I am car illiterate and they're super patient with me. They've caught and thoroughly explained improper past fixes and what kinds of issues I have. They are proactive in communication, are friendly, and the ability to get an uber ride to and from the shop on their dime is incredible. They've also given me a loaner to use when they've had my car for extended periods. My last shop (European Service Center ) felt like I was picking up a part time job just to get any communication and my car would sometimes be there days on end without getting worked on. I feel like E1 is super respectful of my time, cares about my business, is very professional, and keeps me informed without me asking- it's so refreshing and appreciated. They are not the cheapest but also not wildly expensive either; their pricing is on par with my last shop and things are actually done right. I recognize that things don't always go perfectly and care a lot about how a company reacts to makes things right. I had a slight issue with my struts repair after about 9 months after the fix and they stood behind their work no problem and fixed it promptly (they have a 3 year warranty on work done). Paid $50 for a mobile mechanic to come out. Initially, he described the $50 as a deposit that would…read morego toward repairs, then later changed it to a travel fee. When he arrived, he began insisting on payment for a diagnostic before even opening the hood or inspecting either vehicle, and then asked for partial payment just to begin. Due to heavy rain, he mentioned possibly needing to reschedule and said he didn't want to "abort mission." I told him that was his decision as the business owner and I would respect it. He chose to proceed. I also explained that I was planning to sell one of the vehicles and wanted it evaluated, but he refused, stating it would be "somebody else's problem." Despite proceeding, he refused to get out of his car and did not inspect either of the two vehicles at all (no hood opened, no physical checks). Instead, he relied on the codes I had already pulled and repeated that information back to me, then claimed I needed a transmission without verifying anything. He also stated that he "doesn't need to get out of his car to do a diagnostic." Afterward, he asked if I appreciated his help enough to send an additional $50. I offered $30, but since he had not performed any work, I told him that was not a viable decision. He later texted around 10 PM threatening to have my car towed over the $50. I paid the initial $50, but no diagnostic service was performed. I would recommend confirming all pricing and expectations clearly before working with him.

DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM…read more He initially told me that one bottle of coolant and the part we supplied were all he needed. Once the process started, he called me down from my house and told me I would need to pay for another bottle of coolant just to test whether his work was complete. That was odd because we had already supplied him with a full bottle. We refused, but he still went to the store. While he was at the register, he called us and told us the total, as if we hadn't already declined to send him to the store. After he claimed he was finished, he knocked on my door and told me he had locked his keys in his car and had left his equipment in MY CAR. He then asked if he could wait inside my house while his wife drove 30 minutes to bring him another set of keys. At that point, my house was not in the right condition for someone to be waiting inside, so this was extremely uncomfortable and honestly a huge inconvenience. Once his wife finally arrived, he came back and said that he felt he wasn't paid enough for the job he had done. At that point, I was already extremely uncomfortable and frustrated with the entire situation. Then, to make matters worse, I started finding loose bolts in the corner of my car that were supposed to be on the water pump. When I asked him about the bolts, he said he had purchased new ones because he didn't have enough of the correct bolts to finish the job. However, after he went to the store--which we never agreed to send him to--he came back claiming that he had the correct amount of bolts all along. What really pissed me off was that he left my car jacked up IN HOUSTON, OF ALL PLACES, with the engine exposed. AND NOW, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER, THE WATER PUMP IS STILL LEAKING COOLANT. The exact issue we paid to have repaired has not been resolved. With all the confusion throughout this entire process, I honestly don't understand how we could be accused of shorting him when the original agreement was completely different. It's WAY too hot in Texas for people to be spending their hard-earned money and still not have the problem resolved. I paid for a service, and I expect the work to be completed correctly and my vehicle to be left in the condition it was supposed to be in. It hasn't even been a full two months since he last worked on my car, and we are STILL dealing with a leaking water pump.
