Tera did my nails and she was super nice and sweet to me. I had a different flower design in mind that wasn't executed to my expectations and Tera did a great job changing gears and giving me a rose design that she pulled off instead. I've been getting my manicures and pedicures at Pure Nails Spa since I moved to Pasadena in 2019, and I have never gone to anyone else ever since! All the nail techs I've had the pleasure of getting have been amazing and have always listened to my concerns, addressed them, and have made my nails look beautiful. They're sanitary; always using a new pack of nail tools, and the nail store itself is super clean (it has also been newly renovated). The seats are also brand new and includes a massage while getting your nails done, and there is always water or tea available at the front. Special shoutout to the owner who is always so welcoming when entering the store and always checking up mid-treatment to make sure everything is going well. Another shoutout to my girl, Holly! She has probably done my nails the most and has always been so sweet & patient & has always made my nails look great. I booked an appointment a couple of days before, for 4 girls (3 fills and 1 full set). We got an appointment at 10 am and was told the other two would need to come at 10:30 since they only had two people working on acrylics. That was no problem. We got there a bit before 10 am and we got our temperatures scanned (via forehead) and there were two QR codes to scan. The first was a form to fill out basically about COVID and rules and risks and the other had their menu, gel colors, and nail shapes as well. I just want to applaud the salon for this, completely making things touch-free/virtual and I think it's great we had to sign forms before being serviced! Then we got seated and to our surprised, all 4 of us were being worked on at the same time, which was great! We are all out within an hour and all loved our results. We all got designs on our nails. I got the full set with gel nail polish and 1 design on both of my middle fingers and it came out to $65. Honestly a great deal considering I had to get a full set and gel polish. Update to response to owner: As me and my daughter left the salon, I received a call cussing at me to go get my card that I had left. Horrible service. They also tried to intimidate my daughter while still in her chair about paying for the hidden fees. She is 15 years old. The only things that are being made up, are your hidden fees! This place has really changed. They just remolded so maybe that's why they are doing things differently. Came in for pedicure and gel manicure. Never got the pedicure since the person who was starting mine got up suddenly and attended to someone else even though we made an appointment. My gel manicure was super rushed. The design did not come out as requested since she rushed through the whole thing. I asked about my pedi since my nails were done. The same girl who did my nails reluctantly said she would do my pedi. She started to push back my cuticle without soaking my feet so I knew that was going to be rushed too. I opted not to do my pedicure since I didn't wanted to pay for a rushed job. My daughter was getting an acrylic fill and a design which they said would be $50 additional. She was fine with it but then decided not to do it. She was quoted $90 for a fill and French tip. Their listed prices don't reflect that so don't do the mistake we did and base it off of that. They have hidden charges that they don't tell you about which is not great. This used to be a great salon but based off our experience today and many others I'm seeing, it has completely changed. I found the staff focuses more on the gel extensions manicures. This is my 4th time here. But this time around it was a bad experience. I decided I wanted to get a gel pedicure and manicure combo. I was happy with the colors. However, I didn't realize one of my nails would chip the following day. I don't recommend getting gel here. It's over priced to spend $100 combo that didn't last long. came here on a whim because i had brunch nearby. they weren't too busy on a sunday. the place was clean and had a large gel polish selection. i got a builder gel fill and the woman who did my manicure was so meticulous. i didn't realize builder gel fills were a "dry" process, but it was fine. she asked if i liked the shape and the length throughout the process, which i did. everything was super quick while being thorough. other people were getting pedicures and i was impressed at how thoroughly they were getting their feet scrubbed! some places barely even exfoliate but here, they were putting in work! i'm sad i didn't get a pedicure, haha. if i'm ever nearby, i'll definitely stop back in for a service! read more

I went in yesterday afternoon on a Thursday, the place had customers in it but not overly busy. I was looking to treat myself after a long work week. I requested a gel pedi, and I'm used to being offered options that the have (and they did) i was willing to pay more for top service but was never asked. I assumed it would come a little later. I only noticed when i had a quick 2 min foot massage (i expected 10) and when i asked, the technician said i never said anything. and i explained i was never asked.
