I'm so disappointed from this place. This was my third time here, I moved like few months ago in the area. I came for no chip, as usually I do. First, she did not cut the cuticules properly and left a lot. Second, I had to remind her that she has to put that liquid prior putting the base. After she put more color on some areas on the nail and get wavy after drying. When she finish I showed her that the thumb is already damaged and she offered fixing. This was a very clean and soothing nail salon. This place had a wide variety of colors and staff helped pick out colors and got started promptly. Overall was a nice experience except for the fact that my nails were unevenly filed some being too long and some being too short which was a bummer because the prices are higher than usual ($40 for no chip). Also as my friend and I were sitting drying our nails for about 5-7 minutes, a staff member asked to see our nails and said we were done and then offered to help us put on our jackets. Pure Nails must've gotten the memo from umpteen million people who just want the basics done right when they get their mani/pedi: a sparkling clean facility, respectful staff, and a solid array of polishes. It doesn't take much but Pure Nails does it all just right. I called ahead of time to secure my Friday afternoon pedicure appointment and was pleased as punch to step into a quiet nail salon that hosts a handful of pedicure and manicure chairs and one large flatscreen playing some great chick flicks. Way to please, Pure Nails. My classic pedicure was relaxing and thorough - I much appreciated the hot towels and calf massage. It's also worth noting how much care they take to ensure your toes are protected post polish. After I dried in the chair and in the drying booth, they still sprayed each toe and wrapped them in light plastic before I put my boots back on. Oh, and this was after I got a short back/shoulder massage while at the drying bar. Hell. Yes. Don't forget to bring cash to tip! I'll be back at Pure Nails in NO time. read more

I cannot handle how amazing Pure Nails is! The service in the salon is top-notch and my nail tech was phenomenal. I have ticklish feet, yet she barely made me twitch during my pedicure and yet my feet were smoother than other salons. My polish is spot on - she even noticed a small mistake on my thumbnail and took off the polish to redo the whole nail, even though the mistake was barely noticeable. The refreshments, professional/clean atmosphere, and rom-coms playing throughout my service was just an added bonus! We're a week into my no-chip nails and they still look phenomenal - no noticeable gap at the cuticles yet, no chips, and still as glossy as when I walked out the door. Pure Nails, I'll be back! LOOOVE this nail salon! I just happened to find it by accident when i was heading to Foot Finesse next door. This is the nicest nail salon I've ever been to. Very luxurious and classy. Not your standard salon with cheesy artwork or fake hands everywhere. Very upscale decor and furnishings. Very esthetically pleasing. Quiet and relaxing with soothing music. There are 2 big flat screens with subtitles so if you don't want to watch you can just close your eyes and listen to the soft music. I went for a no-chip mani. And it is gorgeous, absolutely perfect. Dan my technician soaked off my previous no chip quickly without ripping layers of my nails off. She has very nice technique and very polite. She advised me to take a break from no chip after 3 applications to let the nails breathe, which I appreciated very much. She also gave me a short neck massage while my hands were in hot towels. This is THE BEST nail salon I have ever been to. Hands down! This is 2 minutes from my work and I am able to go on my lunch hour, which makes it super convenient for me. I have only ever gone for "classic manicures", but each time, they last (without chips) for at least 2 weeks! I am very hard on my nails, despite having an office job, and am lucky to have even a professional mani last 3 days! Not only are the manicure's great, but the service is outstanding as well. The ladies are so polite, sweet, and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure your experience is enjoyable. This includes a hand and shoulder massage! And they've even offered to put my winter coat on and zip it up for me so I wouldn't smudge my nails! read more

I have been searching for a place to replace my beloved Spa O since moving from Lincoln Square. I found it! There are not really any nice/ new nail salons in Arlington Heights, so I will be traveling to Schaumberg for Pure! Everyone was so nice. From the moment I sat in the chair, the service was amazing. I can't even count the number of times I was asked if everything was okay; she was constantly making sure I was relaxed. "Is the massage ok? More message? Less?" I have never been asked! That was great. The leg massage was relaxing as is, as I told her. Great leg message and treatments, Titanic on the T.V. Perfect Saturday morning. I had a spa pedicure and manicure. I was given two options for the Spa pedicure. I opted for the hot stone; the other option involved some kind of cooling treatment rather than hot. Then I started thinking. Hmmm. This isn't extra? Nope! Spa pedicure was similar price to other places, but I feel there is much more pampering going on here. The spa manicure was equally relaxing. There was only a couple people there and I am not sure if that had anything to do with it, but the atmosphere was so relaxed. No rushing here. The pedicure took an hour. All in all, I was there 2 hours. But, it felt like I had been relaxing and getting pampered for at least 4 hours. Score! Not only do I feel relaxed, my toes and fingertips look amazing. Let me say, I've thought nail salons were nice and clean in the past, but this place takes the cake. Fortunately, they had the service to match the ambiance. First of all this is THE nicest nail salon I have been to.in the suburbs. The decor was lovely and clean. Granted it hasn't been open long but there was definitely an investment made in opening it. The do not do fake or acrylic nails fyi. I wondered why there were no drills hanging around (contributes to the cleanliness I'm sure). The owner was polite, friendly and welcoming. I had a no chip mani. The nail tech was very gentle. Maybe too gentle as I have a lot of cuticle and she wasn't aggressive in pushing or removing them. However she applied the polish painstakingly thin which I appreciated because I don't like it thick or to look like fake nails. Price for no chip was $35. Pretty average and they didn't charge to remove old no chip as some do. Mondays are manicure and pedicure for $35.00. They also have a customer loyalty program. I have gone back several times now. This is the first place that ever told me to take a break after a few applications of no chip to give your nails a rest from the chemicals. Most places would not offer that advice as they make so much more from the no chip. I will definitely go back and encourage you to try. Especially if you're a Hip client. Right next door! read more

I can't believe I've never left a review for Pure before. I used to work down the strip from them and they dropped off a coupon to check them out. I took advantage of the coupon and boy am I glad I did, because I'll never go anywhere else again. Pure Nails is very spa-like. When you walk in Theres subtle peaceful music playing. You're usually offered coffee, tea, or water during your appointment. Two giant TVs play Netflix with captions on but no sound. On multiple occasions they've asked people to pick what to watch. Rarely do the technicians even chat with each other and if they do its quietly and in English, so no feeling of you're being made fun of. I've had manicures and pedicures here, both are great. One of my favorite features is they put something on your heels to soften them and wrap them in seran wrap. When you go to the drying station you get a little shoulder massage. This place is a tad more than your usual hole in the wall, but the atmosphere is worth it. My pedicure by itself was $30 for reference. They also have a punch card to take advantage of that just went digital. Finally to note on today's visit they gave everyone a 3.3 oz lotion and wished us happy holidays. So thoughtful! I only got a pedicure this visit because of time constraints but I'll definitely be back for a manicure to take care of my peeling winter nails ASAP! read more

To start off I would like to point out that this place has created a relaxing, serene, pretty, and comfortable environment. I love the complimentary drink and neck message. And enjoy going here with my bestie. I've been going to this place for over a year now. My one and only issue I have with this place is that when painting my nails they leave a space between the cuticle and where the nail polish starts. I always have to ask several times for them not to do that but somehow they still manage to do it. Two day later my nails look as if they were done a week ago because of the space they leave. This is my first yelp review- and I couldn't let this one go and not say something because I went to this place based on yelp reviews. I was looking for a place to start going regularly with my Mom for a no chip and pedicure. I had a pretty good experience the first time, very visually attractive. But then My nails only held up for about 1.5 weeks. I've heard friends say theirs last for 3! I found the no chip color selection to be kind of sparse and when trying some on- seemed gloppy. Like if you were at home doing nails, you'd throw it out and get it a new one. I just went this past Saturday around noon. It was extremely busy. I had gone to the same girl twice now and while there were a few imperfections the first time, I thought id give it another shot. The color I had picked was dark blue and seemed like it was going on gloppy and thick. I tried to express that concern midst painting and didn't really get an answer. After she was done I noticed that in efforts to save this gloppy nail polish that got on my skin, she took a piece of paper towel and went around the whole edges of my nail with acetone. Well unfortunately that took off some of the color- and they looked like id had the no chip for a week already. I had to be somewhere after the appointment but decided to call to again- voice my concern about the color and the shaping. Because even though this is a good price, I've spent 72.00 with tip there twice now. It is a lot of money if you plan to go regularly (which I was) I didn't want to make a scene in the salon either. I was told I could come back tonight at 7. I fully realize they close at 8 but I work in the city. So I race there tonight and pick out my new color and am ready at 7. I was assigned a different woman and had the most unpleasant experience. I think her name was Lucy? She scraped hostility off my no chip to the point where I was cringing. She was too impatient to leave it on a little longer. She then was buffing so hard, she'd hit my other fingers. Not sure what I did to deserve ANY of that. I understand it was your last appointment but by the time she was going to start painting it was 7:15- you close at 8!!! I asked her if she can quickly file my nails- really just my two fingers in each hand that were oddly left longer. There was a rough edge to one, so I politely said "can you please fix this corner" she replied "no!" She then hostilely started screaming in a different language. Which by the way was ONE reason I liked this place originally because you didn't get that feeling people were always talking about you! So I decided, I'm done. I got up and started walking to the front desk. I'm glad to still have a nail after that horrid scraping! I asked for a refund and the manager/receptionist was put off too that "you know I'm paying her to do your nails for no charge" YES for a mistake made TWO days ago and not for my nails to nearly bleed. Plus if it were me- and I was that nail tech, is want to win this person over do she'd ask for me!!!!!! Unbelievable. So rude and acting like I was the biggest inconvenience of her life! I was going to tip her!!!!! Not sure if this was just a bad string of people that I got but good luck if you ever have to get a nail fixed! Again, god bless I still have all 10 finger nails!!!! read more

This place is wonderful! I just moved into the area from New York a week ago and wanted to find a good place to do my nails. I wanted cheap, but I didn't want to sacrifice on quality. So after reading the reviews, I decided to try this place out from all the other ones in the area. I am so glad that I did. I went on Thursday. The atmosphere is so peaceful! It is so clean and so well taken care of. I was very impressed.They have such calming music and the workers are so wonderful, courteous, diligent, attentive to detail and to you. All of the bad stereotypes associated with nail salons do not apply to Pure Nails. The workers do not talk to each other in a different language while they are working, they are professional, and so kind. In addition to that, they have a rewards card where after ten mani's, pedi's or five mani/pedi's, you get a free visit. How awesome is that? I was going to try other places after this one, but I will not go to anyone else. I highly recommend this place for an amazing experience. I suggest going for a mani/pedi Monday through Wednesday to get the $35 deal, $40 every other day. I paid $40 for mine, but I will tell you, it was so worth it. Great experience. I was skeptical at first bc they are about $5 to $10 more than most nail salons, but the updated pedi chairs were nice and the salon is very clean and everyone was pleasant. Very easy to speak with. I decided against getting a no chip here just because I wanted to see how my $35 basic pedicure turned out... They include a scrub light massage paraffin treatment etc. It was nice. They asked if I wanted coffee tea or water which I found as a really thoughtful inexpensive gesture for them to make someone more comfortable. I am not one who typically writes bad yelp reviews... But this was not my first time at pure nails and I have been so disappointed that I needed to write this review. I came in during my lunch break to simply get my no chip polish taken off. Normally this would take 15 minutes but it took ONE HOUR. Plus, to boot, they were very rude when I checked out. Previously, their no-chip nail polish has chipped in one week and not stayed fresh. Other nail salons have actually commented on my poor manicure when I've gone to them after going to Pure.
