I was walking on the Monon Trail and I needed to take a call, so I stopped into Pure Green to get a smoothie. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by the staff and told me they would be right with me. The ambiance is very nice and gives good vibes. I waited about 10-15 minutes for someone to wait on me, and then one of the staff asked me if I was waiting on something, and I told them I was waiting on someone to take my order. When someone did take my order, I ordered the pistachio matcha latte smoothie because that did catch my eye right away as soon as I walked in the shop. There were a couple people ahead of me waiting on smoothies, so I knew it would be a wait on my smoothie. I ended up waiting about 20-25 minutes for my smoothie before I received it, and the staff did apologize for the wait and told me to have a nice day. The pistachio matcha latte smoothie was excellent and tasted good for $14. I did think it was overpriced for a smoothie, but if you were to go to a Smoothie King or another smoothie place, you may be paying the same amount. The smoothie did contain all natural products, protein, and grass fed products as well, so that is what attracted me to the product. Pure Green is a nice feature off of the Monon Trail and it is good to stop in if you need a smoothie or energy boost before getting back on the trail. I enjoyed the smoothie even though it was pricey, but I could have done w/o the long wait for the smoothie. It is what it is, but it was worth the wait I will say that. We love the entire menu here at PureGreen. The staff is great, the environment is clean and fun - especially the two swinging rattan chairs where we post our selfies. The owners, Alisa and Brian, always greet us with a smile and positive energy. Some of our favorites are the Blue Banana Smoothie and the Purple Haze. We also ask for the plain no-sugar almond milk to lower the calories. I also stop here before my flights out of town to grab couple immunity boost shots to take on the plane after wheels up. I'll start this review by saying that I love Pure Green's product. The açaí bowls are so delicious and always feel like a treat. However, the service at this Pure Green is consistently terrible! Everytime I walk it, I feel like I am a bother to the staff working. They stare at you when you walk in, don't say hello, and mumble through your order. They also move incredibly slowly, so it's not an easy in and out. I love the company, but this staff needs some help! read more

Say it with me... pumpkin spice banana nut smoothie. I sub out the grass-fed whey protein and add either spinach or chia. It is perfection. The cinnamon adds incredible flavor and the banana makes it creamy; almost like a milkshake. I know it's a seasonal fall drink but the cinnamon could also pass for Christmas, so I guess I am here asking if the winter seasonal drink could be a cinnamon banana one too... maybe even the same one with a different name (LOL). We come here almost once a week at this point and enjoy hours-long walks along the Monon with each trip. It's the perfect outing and we will return many times. Pure Green, this is a love note to you. I was really hungry this morning and didn't feel like packing a breakfast so I got the Protein Power Steel Cut Oatmeal Bowl. I did add cranberries, honey and strawberries. Both times I got this same bowl it has been very filling for those mornings when you feel ravenous. It's a lot of food though and I haven't been able to finish the entire bowl either time. This is my absolute favorite smoothie and juice place in the area! It's right on the monon in Carmel and a perfect place to stop during a walk or after dinner. Great way to start the morning by visiting Pure Green. I'm ashamed that I didn't know this place has been here for about 2 years, BUT glad I visited. I will be a returning customer. As soon as I walked in I wanted to order everything. Instead I bought Golden Girl. I spoke with Mary Grace, who was extremely knowledgeable, about joint issues and recommended the turmeric juice. Finally they are open! I had been watching the progress on the space for months and was super excited to see they were opened this morning! I ordered the pure pina colada smoothie. It's delicious! The fruit tastes super fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and eager to answer any questions. I wish the prices were a bit lower so I could afford to go more often, but at $9 per smoothie it is comparable to other juice / smoothie bars. I am very happy to have another great restaurant right off the monon. The location is great for a post run / walk refuel. Really delicious and healthy foods! The pictures speak for themselves. I got the almond Butter and hemp bowl, I wish that bowl had some kind of fruit in it, but it was still really good. We also tried their juices! While expensive, they are delicious and "pure" as they have few ingredients in which I love. The monon trail needed a place like this! read more

I love this place & their smoothies, a little too much :) I love that I trust them and their ingredients & nutrition-oriented recipes. I believe a NFL Dietician in on their Board. The ingredients are all listed on a menu board on the wall, and also in a binder you can look at. The ingredients are all healthy, normal items, and delicious together. I like the smoothie with cauliflower in it, and I don't even like cauliflower! The banana & almond butter smoothie is another favorite, but they are seriously all really good. You feel like you consumed something healthy afterwards, not sugary/junky. You can add in other ingredients like protein powder. My friend and I can't pass them by if we are walking on the Monon! They also sell juices & avocado toast, oatmeal, etc. They are efficient, friendly, & well-trained. The place is always very clean. They have a reward system (I think if you buy 10 you get one free). They are a little hard to find but they are basically just 1 block south of Midtown Plaza. They are worth a stop!! read more

This place is pretty new but loving it so far. I've gotten the coconut chia açaí bowl and the pure health açaí bowl. Both are incredibly filling and you get a decent portion for the money you spend. Parking at this spot isn't great and it can get pretty busy around lunch time, but I love that they're open later than most smoothie type places and I can grab something late or get something to go for breakfast. I love this shop!! I got the pure health smoothie bowl + plant protein. It took a couple of minutes because everything is fresh and made right in front of you. The final presentation was very beautiful, and so so delicious. Both of the people working inside were nice and personable, striking up casual conversation as they made our order. The only downside is the parking in the area. Especially if you go on a weekend you can expect to drive around for awhile looking for free parking that is close, park further away with a bit of a drive, or pay for parking. I learned about Pure Green through samples of their "shots" that were available at my nearby chiropractor's office a few months ago. I said that I would make it a point to stop in after an adjustment one day. First of all, I love that it is located down on the Monon in Carmel because it's just such a cute area. There are about 2 parking spots right outside that are for 15 minutes. The first time I went in, I was looking for a drink to help with my stomach as I wasn't feeling the best. They recommended the turmeric tonic shot for immunity which was a wonderful and refreshing choice. The owner chatted with me for a while and explained all of the choices and we talked about what I could try next. The banana nut smoothie is so delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more options. What I love about it is that is definitely shows that they use pure ingredients. While not the cheapest place to stop in, I've gladly decided to give up some of my unhealthy splurges in order to come here instead. Winner. read more
